hey btw you do that Mugen shit yet? I installed mine on Friday, man what a BITCH that bottom bolt of the thermostat housing is to get to. and I had to go buy a wrench for the fan switch because I didnt have one big enough. I didnt realize how big the damn thing was, was like 15\16ths. Other than that, went smooth. Oh and I couldnt believe how much friggin coolant pours out. But it seems to find a nice little channel to leak down to and it all leaks to the same place. Just put a pan behind the drivers side tire and it catches it all.

Attention guys with the Mugen stuff .. Does your temp guage actually read any lower than the normal 2 clicks below the middle like it always has? The car feels a little peppier especially in hot weather, but it doesnt really show on the temp guage.

I'm like oh I thought 575? hes like yeah we decided to give you guys like 20% off list price instead I was like sick YEAYAH! even better.

I'm not complaining. Thumbs up to unichip for saving us some money

I was thinking about mounting the switches in the glovebox. Seems to be the closest to the ECU and given that location; the most logical place. Any thoughts?

i too just got off the phone & talked to jack, gave him my credit card info. & emalied my verification of mods & ship to address to todd. Jack confused be a little talking about six plugs. But he assured me it would be easy to figure out with the included instructions. Was a pleasant surprise for the tally to be 508.00 rather than the 575.00 i was expecting, Want to again thank you brian, jonesi, matt, steve, & all that helped answer all the questions & keeping this thing together. WE all have to keep corrosponding with one another after chip install to talk about our new & unique toy. I'm so hyped, feel like I'm a twelve year old & christmas is 2 days away. P.S. I dont take my car to the track so i probobly will just tuck the led away. mabe i'll change my mind after i hear your guys stories.

Just one to two ticks on the gauges is all you will see. But that is about a twenty degree difference. The gauge is very numb to temperature change and for a good reason, the average consumer.

I got a call from Todd today and gave him my CC info. Boy was I happy when he said the total came out to $608 less $100 deposit! I was sortof confused when he said he wasn't sure how much shipping would be, but he guessed that 2-day shipping shouldn't be too much more than the ground shipping option, so I took 2-day.

He said he'd try to email out tracking numbers to everyone even though he said it'd be a lot of work (I told him if it was too much work not to worry about it, but he said he'd try to do it). Really psyched about the chip! Thanks to everyone who's helped out, including everyone who put their money down and got us a sweet price on these chips!

Not all of us have this problem

And if you plan on removing the chip each time you go to the dealer, you might as well just leave the switches behind the kickpanel near the ECU. Much easier.

Do you mean the trunk lock out switch in the glovebox or the trunk switch in the driver's door panel?

We need to know how large the switches are prior to really coming up with a location.

That's real far away from the ECU though. Lots of wiring to run. Although it would be easily within reach while driving. Then again, it's not like we will need to be flipping the switch on the fly.

Got my call yesterday at about 4:30pm central time. Todd was a nice guy. Didn't know the switches were remote. I thought they were on the chip it self. That's pretty cool of them to do.

I'm very glad that everyone is excited! I'm very excited too! I got the instrusctions in PDF, and it seems every straight forward on the install. But I think on the switchs, I might have to keep it close to the ECU because the length of the wires is limited. Maybe like a side mount on the passenger side, next to the steros? or since I have an alpine system, I can use that leftover space for the switch and LED light.

p.s. I'm also happy to see that Jack decided to give you all an even better price. Jack must have felt guilty when he left my car on empty when I picked it up Thursday night (Had more than half tank going in). He called it an extensive ROAD TESTING. (More like, Hmmm... I need to goto the airport. Hey lets just use this Blue Acura) But he called me on Friday to let me know that he felt bad that he didn't have a chance to fill it back up, so everything is all good.

I emailed Todd last night asking him why I didn't get a call. He said he didn't feel the need to call me right away like you all because I had already given him payment and shipping information. I talked to him around Noon EST and he said the chips were already out the door and I should recieve it Thursday.

I'm planning on going to NOPI Race Wars at Maryland International Raceway this weekend. My current project is in Rockville for the next month or so. I might actually take it to Altered Atmosphere and get it on the dyno Friday afternoon if I can find 100+ octane around there.

Yes, I meant the lockout switch. yeah knowing the size of the switches would help lol .. but its not like we couldnt put our own switch on, ya know. Maybe even a switch with an LED built in, so we don't have to drill two holes (for switch and led)

x 10,000. Maybe I'll call out ...

We should all have a group call out day and go to the track. If thursday night is nice Atco Raceway runs that night .. anyone up for meeting me there let me know. I may just take it and run there and install it at the track .. dump some 100+ in and commence with the beating
