wooohhh, installed my unichip tonight, my baby is pulling like a bastard. I definatley feel the power & torque increase. no cels in either setting. IMO it was well worth the wait. I havce a question if i was to just turn my unichip off, would the dealer be able to detect it. I don't want to have to uninstall. It was a little more difficult to install then i imagined. Wouldn't be all the bad if the oem loops wern't so damn short. I'm very happy. Anyone else have theres installed yet.

i misread the instructions & originaly had my switch in "b" setting, she flew, & i had no pinging, running 92 octane. I couldn't notice a whole lot difference between a & b. The instructions don't talk about the b setting being stricktly for 100 + octane, just more advanced timeing. If i dont have pinging is b going to hurt with 92 octane?

ok, cut me some slack, like i said @ work today i was rebuilding a vortec blower. Those are the units that shoot the tubes at the drive up telling machines @ the bank. Not thinking too clearly right now, all excited. I'm not one for stickers, but i had to put on my "Powered by Unichip" sticker that can with the goods today. We also got a cool little key chain. It glows red when you push the button, not sure what that is suppose to do yet. Too busy test driving the new toy tonight!!

I suspect the ECU is picking up knock and retardiing timing on the B map which is why you don't really feel a difference.

I would stick with the A map unless you have some better fuel available.

I'm such a fool. I needed gas this morning and totally forgot I was going to need a good majority of 100+ in my tank for tomorrow's dyno. My dumbass filled the tank up with 93. I'm gonna be doing a whole lotta driving today and tonight to try and get back down to 1/3 of a tank. Anyone need a ride somewhere?

Although I shouldn't be that worried about not having a tracking number. I'm sure mine was sitting right next to yours the during the entire trip to the east coast. I'm off at 2:30 today I hope it's waiting for me at home

I work for Vtech.... :o Vtec on the other hand, does feel like it pulls a bit harder and smoother.

I'm glad to see that some have already got this product, and like it! The question about dealer detecting the Chip. Well, they can really detact it, unless they visually inspect the stock ECU. Therefore, if you know you are going in for something that they will need to pull out your ECU, then I strongly recommend you unplug the whole thing and just leave it at home.

It's Installed! I didn't put back the carpeting or make the wires really clean like I will tomorrow. No sense in putting it in 100% perfectly when I have to take it out tomorrow for the dyno. Be back in like 30 mins to tell you how it feels.

And all you crazy mofo's.. don't blame the chip for having bad gas milage later (peddle to the metal).. I'm still getting 280-300 per tank with Chip.

This thing really rips!

All my driving was on Map A. I switched to Map B before I left and the LED came on. Followed the instructions and flipped back to Map A and started driving.

At first the car felt like it wanted to stall when I was at idle, something it does when it is cold too.

I took it really really easy for 15 minutes. I got on the highway and never went past 1/2 throttle. Then, I started getting into it. At first you really don't feel the power. I suspect this is because the ECU is still adjusting. I got off the highway and on to a 2 lane road where I could make U-turns about every mile. By about the 3rd 0-80 run I really started to feel the power pick up. It feels like getting headers all over again.
