Yes, great games all week long. Especially some of the college games.

And dittos on the 49ers. I've called them the 40 whiners for years myself, but I call called the Cowboys the Cryboys as well.

As far as Casper calling them the 69ers . . . . :P

anyway, what a great day.

found out my springs are on the way (UPS - 1ze713500344754027) and should be arriving Friday.

AND, for all of you that were at the track, some of you witnessed a horrible loss to a Sentra Spec V. Ever since then I've been dying to see one on the road. Needless to say, there was a nice little debaged silver one in Richardson last night as I was passing through.

Now for those of you in the area, I was on Jupiter just past south of Lookout heading south. I saw the little booger at that residential light after Lookout. I passed Campbell and pulled into the Wallgreens to wait for him and as he came buy I darted out after him. As we pull up to the Collins light, which was red, he revs me! So it's on NOW! As we're reving each other and coming to a stop the light turns green and he's already a car ahead, but I was pulling on him, but the homo was flashing his hazards already at me. So we finally get to Arapaho and we are stopped at a Red light. It turns green, he gets half of his car ahead of me on the launch, but once I gained traction back, I pulled hard on him and was a car length + my car ahead of him at the top of second. Then I slowed down and he did a rice buy (focker).

So, even though the driver was a jacka$$ I still beat the crap out of him and feel much better about my car.

Just had to tell the guys.

CasperTL

I'll be at your doorstep for the interception! (j/k)

I'll intercept it looong before it even gets to your door. :P

Nice kill on that pesky vspec... only 3 more months till legal racing again!

It IS the city of the "limp wristed" men you know. I thought it was always fitting.

As far as the Cowboys go, I usually call them the Cowgirls, but that's me :P

Mantis, how's that aem order coming? Did they have a blue instock? When I ordered mine it took a couple weeks cause all they had was silver, but I wanted red. But they were very nice about the situation. Hope that didn't happen to you too.

I did and I hope this isn't another false start...but I think that CT is pretty certain they have the problem solved and are in production based on that solution.

We need to get a couple of pulls on the dyno after they are installed to compare to the earlier benchmark...

Yes, the intake was given to me on Xmas Eve and it was installed Xmas morning. As expected, there was a noticeable, yet not extreme increase in top end and my engine got MUCH louder at WOT. Me likey !

What brand of amps are you looking at out of curiousity. I've always thought of Pheonix Gold as a good amp and, though I've never personally been a Kicker fan, there are a lot of people that want Kicker. If you find something you might like and you're not afraid for you car to roll through the ghetto, go to the SE corner of Jupiter and Walnut to IDP. There is a little shop run my this little Chinese dude we call Big Mike. He's cool and knows his stuff and has good prices. The legitamacy of the products are shady, but no one ever asks that question. To give an example, a buddy of mine got a Rockford 800aII (old style) when they were fairly new. Retail that amp would have cost almost $900. He got it there for like $250.

Honestly, it's a shady place, but you get some damn good deals. And I will admit that parts of my stereo are courtesy of Big Mike.

Just my $.02

Come to think about it. If you ever want to go there, give me a call and I'd be glad to go with you. It's an interesting place, but I obtained a lot of knowledge from that place. That and plus it's safer to roll in pairs lol.

hmmm.. I'm lookin' at the Phenix ZX600ti & the Phoenix ZX400ti...

I'm thinking of mounting each on the back of the front passenger seats. either that, or just have my old amp fixed.

I talked to my audio guy today, and if what he says goes through, then I'll be one happy camper. Say, I think I lost your phone number when I cleared out my PM box Chris, hit me up 214-288-1911, I can roll through there whenever.

Now I'm pissed! Discount said they had the tires on Tuesday so I get up early on a Saterday mourning and find out they have to order the Ecsta MX. It seams they thought I was talking about the 712s. I guess that does sound alot like MX. Fucking people don't listen. Maybe thats why the guys a fucking tire jocky and will be from now on. If he had told me Tuesday he didn't have them he could have ordered them and they would be in now!

I am getting my photos from my trip to Hwy 1 on the California coast developed today. I will scan and post the good ones.

By the way, the Valentine 1 is the way to go with radar. It saved my ass a bunch of times--especially with the instant on highway patrols out in the desert. I saw them each time they fired up with pleanty of time to get legal.

Dallas Area Poll

Which is the better investment (see how I now consider money down the drain an investment? That is what the stock market has taught me this year....)

New wheels (maybe similar to RUF's)

or

CT Exhaust (to go with the ice box that is coming out next month--repeat on the first of each month as needed).

???

Rootbeer,

Did you register? I dropped the ball on this one while I was in California and didn't register.

So here is the scoop:

I called Rick at the Drivers Edge (817) 571-1101 and he said they only have a stand by list right now. He thought there was a good chance of getting on in case of cancellations so he asked me to e-mail him with my interest and my cell phone number so he could reach me quickly (Rick@thedriversedge.net).

I told him there were two of us that wanted to go so you should do the same. The event has a Friday night orientation and gates open Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 AM. They recommended spending the night near there (Hotel 6 in the area).

I asked him about the March event and that was a popular one (more so than this one even) so if we didn't get this one, we would need to get in line for that one NOW!

What do you think?
