I know how that feels, sorry man that sux.

If I'm thinking of the right guy, I'm pretty sure he's not stock. I saw his sig once and asked him what he had. I don't remember it all, but he had some stuff.

I don't see what the problem there is manti... even if you strip a luglock just take it to any NTB or discount tire and they'll break off the luglock for you... and they're not too pricey... just so long as your wheel is allright then it's all lookin' good...

That is outstanding! I hope to get into the 14.5s or lower with my slush box someday. Right now I am at 14.80 and that is a long way to drop--even if I get better at driving. Some of the guys are hitting 14.6s with autos but they are driving Wednesday cars, I think...

Good job, Civic!

the curbed wheel cost $125. I picked up studs from the dealer for free, and I'm heading down to Alan's tomorrow to put a new stud on. Total cost, $0.

I hope I get at least 25K out of them. I had 68K on the Michlen but the y were pretty hard. Bad thing about the new tires is they don't spin as easy as those old ones. Good thing - off the line better.

hehe.

Man, 5 hours later and my car is waxed....

1) Dawn wash
2) Absorber dry
3) Clay bar
3) McGuires Paint Cleaner
4) McGuires Paint Cleaner Removal
5) McGuires Polish
6) McGuires Polish Removal
7) McGuires Wax
8) McGuires Wax Removal

Oh man my arms.....but it's like looking in a mirror

The front of the hood and the front bumper are a mess with small chips, but other than repainting, I am SOL

I am going to put to more coats of wax on the front end tomorrow in hopes to prevent future damage. I could have rung the previous owners neck for allowing it to get like this.

Oh, and I spent 1/2 of Saturday and 1/2 of Sunday installing my new alarm with remote start.....what a tedious ordeal having to interface with the factory alarm to do it (you can't just take it out).

Just went for a drive and grubbed with Ruf earlier tonight... guess he's here in town... ask him how great some of the hilly passes around here are... tons of fun but mcuh more fun in daytime when you can actaully see...

we launched at a red light and he totally took me off the line with those wheels and tires not to mention I don't know how to launch consistently with a manual...

Nice job of you two taking 3 spaces

Austin's hills were fairly fun if I remember correctly. DuckBlue and I went down there last fall or spring to a billiards tournament in his TL-S and got there in 2.5 hours. Of course running into a Mercedes E55 going 95 didn't help

Gentleman, I have a standing question out there. If anyone knows the answer or can point me to somebody who does, I would appreciate it.

Does anyone know if the 17"x8" OZ Superleggera wheels (48mm) clear either the 12.4" or the 13" Brembo upgrade? What information do I need to make sure that they do work together (it is hard to test fit in advance, right)? If nobody knows, would anybody have an idea where I could get that information?

Thanks, Inferno

Just thought I'd let you guys know that DuckBlue and I and a few of our friends spent friday evening installing my new springs. The ride is so nice and the look is nice a modest. Not slammed unfortunately, but a definite classy drop.

On a side note, we had a fairly large Nissan meet this past Saturday and one of our members named Stan brought a friend of his with a CL-S. I didn't see him or the car but was told about it. He apparently knew who we were (us CL/TL people with the exception of me) and I'm curious who it was.

Very cool. Can't wait to see them. Are you thinking about new shocks at all? If so, what are your favorites?

BTW, going to work now...

Well, there are these KYB AGX Gas shocks that a lot of maxima people use and really like. I've read a lot about them and really like the idea of using them. They are fully adjustable and I don't have to take the wheel off to adjust them. They are fairly expensive, so they are a later addition, but those are the struts I will be going with.

Our 5th gen guys go more with the tokico's then the KYB's, but the 4th gen-ers like the KYB's more for some reason. They are four way adjustable in the front and like 6 in the back.

BTW, does anyone know of a good shop in town that won't rape me on a front wheel alignment. I only need the front two aligned because of the way Nissan screwed us with our rear suspension.

Chris, how do those swirl marks look now after that 5 hour job?

You installed an alarm with remote start by yourself? Good job, how much did that cost?

I'm sure the 13" Brembos won't fit under 17s, they have to be 18s. I don't think the 12.4" ones will either, but I don't remember for sure. Did you check the Brembo site to see what they said about that?

Inferno, I just checked at ATL.com and this is what it says about the 12.4" brembos. Look like you're in luck.

"12. 4 inch Brembo Big Brake Kit. These kits are for front-only, and inclide the black Lotus calipers, hats, rotors, pads, brackets, hardware, and front braided stainless brake lines. Many of these kits require changing to larger diameter wheels. *** 17-inch wheels required"

I don't think that will work with either brake upgrade. But then against, what do I know?

Try asking in car talk, maybe those folks will be able to answer better than I. But I'm pretty sure it won't work.
