The wait is killing me!!! I droped it last Thursday, but they didn't get the CL brackets in until Friday afternnon. They could have started earlier, but they have been burned before with the parts not coming in.

Supposively, I should have it back tomorrow. Normally an install like this doesn't take this long, but I took care of them on some stuff, so they are hard lining my whole setup, using 2 3-gallon tanks, 2 remote quiet compressors (installed under car with filter in the trunk) and custom LCD 4 corner gauges.

I am going to go by there today around 11 to see how it's going, and to apply a little pressure

Danny,
Yeah i know it sucked. I could have gone alot longer, its just i wasnt trying to go for distance, hehe, I was actually trying to get the car to stay still, if you notice, my brake lights are on when i'm burning out. The problem was, my foot slipped on the brake the instant I started, so that didnt help, and by the time i hit the brakes again, it wouldnt stop. Oh well

Danny, in looking at your night pics, i am thinking you have a nice SLR on a tripod with a remote shutter release? Those are some extended exposures

Well I went by and checked on her. The wiring is getting finished up, compressors are mounted, cylinders are in. With all the air out of the cylinders, shes about an inch off the ground! Full, it's back to factory height. They still need to run the hard lines and install the tanks. ETA, tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks Chris, actually it's not an SLR, just a normal 4mp digicam, the Canon G2. I think it has a maximum 15 sec shutter speed, and yes, I also have a tripod.

Thanks Bluesman.

Mantis, where did you get your wheel fixed? David curbed one of his chrome bullits yesterday in Dallas and he was wondering. He's heard of Wheels America, or something like that, I don't remember the one he said. But he was just looking for a second option.
Thanks.

Motorsport Ranch

Rootbeer and I had talked about this road course weekend during the dyno day a while ago.

http://www.thedriversedge.net/

I met some of the instructors when I was at TMS which is how I heard about it.

It is expensive--like $260-275 for the weekend. That is actually pretty good dollar/hour for a closed road course given you have two days and maybe 8 hours of real track time plus instruction.

If anyone is interested, post up. If it is too expensive, no problem. Rootbeer and I may decide to go and, if so, some folks may just want to come by and check it out.

Thoughts?

Whoah, at a glance, that looks pretty fun. I'll look more into it whenI get to work...I may be up for that, assuming my Cusco stuff gets here soon.

Thanks.
Yep, I got it fixed. on a scale of 100, I'd give them a 89% on repair quality, and 95% on customer service. I think their website is www.fixrim.com But they are probably the most reliable (at least that I know of) in the area.

Yawn . . . uumm huunn wassup?

Yep, it's me. Ruf Van Winkel just waking up to what's going on.

Anyway, it's that time of year and I've been busier than you know what.

Unfortunately none of it has had to do with my car.

Just a few battles with City issues and education issues at my kids school to name a few things.

So let's see.

Mantis is doing Vegas,
Chris is on cloud nine,
Casper is taking it in, or is that tokening it in.
Inferno is going AWOL
Danny is taking in the night lights
Hanzie is smoking more than his tires . . is that a clutch burning that I smell?
Bluesman got wired . .
Civic is still trying to find his way home
and Ruf has been in a rut, but I do have my Christmas shopping done.

Did I leave anything out? :P

Track Weekend.

Count me in!! My friend Murphy to. Sounds cheep for that much track time. Oh got my wires on looks good but I would have to Dyno in order to tell any differance. Do you think my ECU needs time to recalibrate? Im guessing I can't expect more than 2-4 HP anyhow. Looks good.

That track thing does look pretty fun, that's the time I wish I had a 350 Z. But I'm very poor at the moment so I may have to skip it.

About the Motorsport Ranch:

1. I think it is a great deal (at least at first blush).

2. This will require prepayment and they may run out of room so we need to act with all due haste.

3. I don't know how to turn this into a meet we can all participate in regardless of finances (that is a lot of scratch). Ideas are welcome here, folks!

About things in general: is it just me, or does anyone else feel like this right now? :pfawk: :pfawk: :pfawk:

Too much candy at the office these days.

And no, RUF, I said candy, not Candy. :-*

Maybe I just need a beer!!!

LOL, I gotta wash it in the morning. Accumilator in the rear needs to be connected in a few days, but damn! We had to choke the exhaust valves down to 1/8" cause it dropped to fast to make moderate adjustments. Slammed it's rubbing the fron fender plastic a bit, but it's only a inch off the ground.

I think I will be going with different switches, these are too hard to press and I get to much air movement.

Regardless, it's bad ass, and with the accumilator not connected in the rear, I get 2" of hop on a full pop to the rear. However, I don't want it to do that. My goal was adjustability, not fast movements

Well, if any of you are in the Arlington area and want to grab some lunch and chat, give me a holler here, through email, my IM's or call me 817.456.1995 (mobile)

Later :-)

I'll go for the beer.

Seriously, I'd love to do the Motorsport event, but sales have been slow this qtr. I'm not sure what kind of commision check I'll get and with my wife's and 2 kid's birthdays and Christmas all within weeks of each other I'm a poor old man.

I'm actually glad the icebox has been delayed for now.

Chomp, slurp, smack, aaah.

Volvo S70 T5 taste like chicken.

Some goofball in a S70 T5 thought he'd jack with me today. I ignored him for a while, but when we got to a redlight at a 3 lane road, I just has to smack him around.

I only took it to 55MPH because I tore him up off the line and pulled easily. I didn't even run it up to redline in first.

They are fast, but can't hang with the Type-S

My first race since Ennis and boy do I miss that night. It was great time.

I can't wait to see what our times will be after a few mods. Maybe a 14,4??

Also, my little brother wants to join us with his 66 Chevy II. He got it fired up the other day and boy it sounds SWEET! He should be running mid 13s, maybe even low 13s with street tires. Man I miss serious sounding engines.

I feel your pain but I have a somewhat steady income. College and being young will drain your pockets like crazy. Let one of us know and we can all get together. I'd split a six pack with ya.

How much of a drop will those springs give you Casper?

LOL, it's great to be excited about xmas. We scraped the "real" tree this year and went artificial. That alone triple the holiday enjoyment....

That's awsome Casper, I can't wait to see the Max sittin lower!
