They wanted $35,395 + TTL . They tried to screw me on accessories. $1900 for the body kit, $800 for the decklid spoiler, $300 for the front nose mask, $1000 for the front and rear bumper proximity sensors. Bastards... It priced the car at well over 40K. Personally for 40K I'll drive something nicer than an A-TL...
Sorry to hear about the dings . . . it really pisses me off when some careless or just plain jerk doesn't care about their car and abuses someone elses.

So $35k vs $29k . . . I'm not sure the new TL is $6k better. :shakehd:

Sure, but then you don't have a record of everything said and accomplished. :P

Well, there are a few interesting facts that might sway your opinion.

Even though they share a similar style and I believe their chassis are similar, the 350Z (Z33 chassis code) and the G35C (R35 <- sound familiar) are not the same car. The 350 is the 350GT over there and the G35 (coupe and sedan) is the Skyline over there. Nissan has released info on an AWD G35 soon to come out. They promised the USDM that they would release the Skyline in the US at some point and put it under the Infiniti badge. Well, here it is. They just sort of slipped it in without telling us. The GTR is still in concept and probably won't be out for another year or so. Nissan has a history of doing that with the Skyline. And don't be surprised if you come up on a G35 and it has Skyline lettering on it. A lot of people are rebadging their cars with the R35 badges from Japan (expensive stuff).

Just thought I'd through that out.

that's what i've heard, the G35C is the Skyline, just not the Skyline everyone thinks about when they hear that name. I can't wait for the GTR... not that I'll be able to afford it. Maybe I'll just get a G35C and a GReddy TT package.

Yeah, most people don't believe that simply because they think of the GTR or GTS or VSpec Skyline. What they don't know is that you can buy a Skyline over there that isn't a GTR or GTS and they are still R32's and R34's and such, just not boosted and super fast and cool.

And the crazy rumor is that the GTR will use the VQ35 motor currently found in the most of the Nissan family. Which is odd seeing as how they've used the popular RB series motor (inline 6). The VQ is a very strong motor with a few Maxima owners pushing 500hp and 500+ tq on stock internals . It will be VERY interesting to see.

2005 Skyline GTR - Concept : here are a few pics... the guy took down his lil gallery of pics.

Well it really balances a lot better than the old TL did. The looks are average in my opinion. They could have done better. It's built better on the inside and they've really paid attention to details this time. If you turn the key on the driver's side door when you're outside of it and hold it in the open position all the windows and sunroof roll down... if you close it and hold with the key the other way then they all roll up. The sound system is great. It comes with XM readio. The interior is spectacularly nice though the screen looks cheapy on the non-navi version b/c they din't fill the spaces with wood trim or plastic but instead just left it black between the top and lower screens. The dual climate control is a nice bonus. I'll think of more later.

Speaking of Zs, I saw a black vert today on the way to work. That has to be the best color for the vert, cause it didn't look near as bad since the top matched. But then, of course, a lady is driving! I swear every time I see a Z there is a chick driving it, it's turning into a girl car.

Can't go tonight, already have plans.

We need to hook up with a neighbor that has a FAST as $hit car. He goes fairly regular. Perhaps some night when I can get my brother to join and we don't have a sunrise game on Saturday. :P

yep, we could tell who the hardcore guys are . . . the Good Guys, er the one that went to the Good Guys meet.

Sounds like Mantis maybe a player . . . he does have NOS, but even that won't cut it out there with the big boys.

Shoot, even my old badass SS would be servered up on a platter with this guys car.

I got free tickets to Hyenas again, so I'm already hittin that.

I've never tried just an 1/8 mile, but for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me as much as a 1/4. I like that nice long run, but maybe I should try it one time anyway.

That'd be me!

I've got an SRI in my '99TL now - and I enjoy the power and the sound - but I've been told that the icebox is a noticeable improvement over the SRI in terms of power, but is much quieter. I'd like to hear one in person before I decide whether or not to do an "upgrade".

Can anyone help me out?

good so it's not just me.

It sucks seeing women driving a sports car that they will never use half the potential of. You could probably stick them in a civic hybrid and they wouldn't notice a difference in performance.
