Go with the T1-S's if you can inferno. Great tire, even in the rain.

Its a late one, I think from 8-2.

I'll probably get there around 9-9:30. I also have 2 domestic guys who are coming with me. 2 trans ams. It'll be their first time racing down the 1320.

Inferno, where did you get your helmet again? Think they could get one to me by Friday?

ok, mcdavid has my car right now.. their tech is guessing its something with the power booster, or master cylinder- both sound yucky, but either way its under warranty for me

his guess is that the electric booster isnt working, so that when i step down on the brakes, it FEELS like i'm on the floor because i cant push any further, BUT in actuality the pedal is only partially pushed- sorta like manual braking.

for now, i'm stuck in a dodge intrepid cuz the guy in front of me took the last TSX/acura loaner. i thought i liked full sized cars (my dream cars are LS430 and S500/600) but man was i wrong! this big boat is near impossible to park. maybe it just doesnt have the technology to help in the turning radius. i recall my friend with an altima saying his dad's S500 felt like it had a better turning radius than his car

I've never wanted a full size car. My favorite were always the 5 series, E class, GS. I even think the A6 is too big for me.

So no RS6, Danny?! I love that car.

I couldn't choose between an RS6, E55 AMG, and M5 (new or old).

But If I had to choose right now, it'd be E55 AMG. Tomorrow it would probably be RS6, and the day after, M5... I NEED MORE MONEY DAMNIT.

dang I can never catch up with you guys on these mods... I'm getting Lou's titanium interior dash thing to match my stock stuff...

ruf: I need to figure out how you did all those mugen mods. I want to do them next along with pulleys at around xmas time. or in january.

mantis: how's the 75 shot running? that will probably be my next mod if not then it'll be a V1... I'm gonna get one or the other within the next month.

NONONONONONONO I said A6. Anything with 450 hp doesn't apply to my limitations.

If I had to pick right now, I think I'd take the new M5 (or wait for it). 500 hp and a stick... Then i'd take the E55 second, love the looks. And the RS6 third, quattro's cool, but I don't need it in TX (I know it's good for more than bad weather).

Danny, you ever heard of Redline Per4mance up Cooper Rd in Arlington? I'm thinking about stopping up there at lunch tomorrow since they're kinda close to Alcon to check out their shop for my shock / camber adjuster installation.

I've been there once looking for a coupler for my AEM intake, but that's all my experience. A friend of mine had them install his intake and I think it was a reasonable price.

Nutz, you gonna have them install your Koni's and camber kit?

There's another place off Cooper too called Alamo Autosports that you might check out.

loaner cars are the best. Have you been rally racing in the intrepid yet? How about the sport of jumping speed bumps? I love loaners.

yeah, i'm searching for a south ft worth / arlington place to do the install. i've heard alamo is severely mitsubishi biased, hence my reluctance with them. maybe i'll swing by there too and see what they want.

not sure- i did my own changes with syn starting at 15k, and change every 5k, so its very easy to remember

while i was there for the free inspection last week, they were appalled that my last change was at 12k with them and i'm now at 26k (i still had the old "next change at xxx" sticker on my windshield). the service advisor seemed very concerned that my car didnt get an oil change for 14k

so how DO you guys prove to the dealers that you've been maintaining your cars?

a naive friend once thought about buying an ex-loaner car, and i almost smacked his dumb ass around. the travelling consultants i hang with make a habit of totally destroying their loaner cars as much as they can each week they come down here. the gas pedal is like an on-off switch, along with the brakes. donkey-kicking every bump and pot-hole is also a common practice.

I don't think you can prove it other than writing it down on your own. I've been doing mine myself since 10K miles... I change it too ofen to take it there and pay them $65 for my mobil1 + mobil1 filter. I do it at home for half of that.

I hate doing it, but I always buy my own oil and have the dealer put it in just so I can have a record of it. So I'm basically paying an extra $15.00 every oil change just to have a stupid record.

haha they only charged me $9 to do that. :P

I would continue to do that, but I'm actually just paranoid about some tech taking my Amsoil and giving me the normal crap.

another oil change question... do you guys replace that washer for the oil pan screw? The owner's manual said to, but it's metal, why would that need to be replaced?

All you can do is keep your receipts. That's what I do.

And since I've got 6mos left on the factory warranty, who cares!

I do.

is it 48mo/48k miles? Dang, I was thinking it was 36/36.

No wait., looking it up now . . . .

48mo/50k. That's both good and bad. Good in case something happens. Bad because I'm still wanting to wait on certain mods. :P

So I have another 17 months or 27k miles . . . .

don't let that confuse you.. he didn't get big brakes, just the better quality pads/rotors for his stock calipers. that and he got SS lines, but dean forgot to include them with this shipment...
