Alan won't do it himself, he doesn't have the equipment for alignments. He'll take it to NTB to have it done, or you can do it.

Yeah toe and camber are ALMOST the same thing.

How much are new springs?

Danny,

Yes, toe in adjustment really is needed with the springs. I talked to Comptech before I had my springs installed and they said toe in was needed. The Acura mechanic said, "it won't be needed but I can check it" and then he said, "wadauno, it does need the toe in adjusted."

The camber is fine with the Comptech drop. Apparently it adds like 1% negative camber which helps turn in and cornering but isn't enough to create wear patterns or reduce the footprint of the tire for putting the gas down. Of course, I'm no mechanic, but I play one on the computer...

Would you look at this sheeet? I mean GODAMN!!!!

Quote: from Mike B at Comptech on 3:25 pm on Oct. 29, 2002

OK, I finally got my hands on a dyno chart for a supercharged '03 CL-S 6-speed. Until our web guy can get it posted on the site, here are some numbers to whet your appetite. The car had headers and mufflers both before and after. It was running about 5.5 pounds of boost.

2000rpm +12hp +31ftlb
3000rpm +19hp +33.5ftlb
4000rpm +34hp +44ftlb
5000rpm +57hp +60ftlb
6000rpm +32hp +28.5ftlb
6800rpm +63hp +49ftlb

We make no guarantees regarding the life of your front tires with this kit. I hear it's capable of keeping the tires smokin' all the way thru 2nd gear (if you are so inclined).
I feel like a kid looking through the glass at a candy store. Damn I want a supercharger--even for my slushbox!

Yeah, I'm happy, now I just have to wait for them. I'm so impatient. I've been fine for almost a year w/o springs, but once I buy them, I want them NOW!

hahaha yeah I know....

as a crazy update. Last night I was trying to leave this chick's house when all of the sudden my damn car wouldn't start. All my accessories worked and when I turned the key, all I heard was a single click. So I called DuckBlue and we thought we would try to jump it for shits and giggles, but obviously that didn't work. My starter was SHOT! So, thank god for the extra $4 a month on my Sprint bill; Road Side Assistance pays for the initial tow fee + the first three miles. Luckily the hoes house was less than 2 miles away from DuckBlue's house, so we towed it there. We spent an hour and a half replacing that SOB and it only took that long because of this massive 17mm bolt that WOULD NOT COME OFF. Funny thing is now my start kinda sounds like the Honda trademark start . ( I tried to get away by buying a Nissan. Didn't work. )

Hey, i've got a friend of a friend that has an 89 Accord and wants to drop the thing. Where would be the best place to get a full set, Springs, plates, cambers, etc. Plus he's got a performance clutch and wants to know who's the best person in town to replace that for him.

Thanks in advance,
CasperTL

Inferno & Danny, thanks for posting over on Maxima.org and i'm glad seximagtr posted here. This should turn out to be a really great Maxima \ Acura meet w/ the possibility of a Z being there :wackit: . Hopefully we can add to that list of people and really get a deal

No prob Casper. It's always fun to hang out with car people, the more the better, I don't care what they drive. Actually I like Nissans pretty well too, I almost bought an 02 Max b4 I decided on the CL.

don't do more then a 50 shot without stronger internals...
d engines aren't as strong as the b's but they aren't too shabby.
but for sure.. get colder sparkplugs
Like Denso Iridium IK20s...
and you might want a VAFC or some other kind of computer to fine tune your fuel map for maximum HP gain.
and run High Octane gas...
and is it a dry or wetshot?
maybe fuel rails and better injectors if you want it up it to a 75 shot or 100.

also.. start low with your shots and work your way up.

I also called speedtek in dallas,
http://www.theimarketplace.com/Speed...on=customintro

They want $50.00 for 3 pulls on group dynos. If we don't all show up at the same time, its $65.00 per 3 pulls.

They need a notice 5 days in advance.

btw, i had a little "incident" with a late 60's mustang just half an hour ago

i was going home on yale, just past arapaho when the light turns yellow on me... so i go a bit faster, and then see this car in front of me.. i dont really pay attention the the older cars, but as near him to pass him, he speeds up as well, keeps right up next to me to 50mph. (keep in mind yale is a small 2lane street in a residential area). I speed up a bit more, to pass him, and right then, i see the passenger stick his hand out and flick me off.. i'm like wtf. At the same time, i see his car jump a bit, so i decided to go too. In seconds, i got up to 70, and he's waaaay behind. Stupid teenagers will now pay attention not to mess with TL's.

Hmm, now that i think about it, i was pretty stupid too.. getting up to 70 in a residential area.. err.. yeah
But it was still fun putting the kids in their place. Flicking people off? tsk tsk

Welcome on board, Bluesman. We are planning a meet in about three or four weeks, so your timing is good. We will go to the track and, on a separate day, to the dyno shop. Make sure you put your name in if you want to join us--and check this site regularly or you may miss in information. What do you drive, by the way? Inferno

Nissan UPDATE

Ok guys another guy from some other nissan forum with a Sentra SE-R wants to join. I believe he is apart of the Dallas Area Nissan Enthusiats (DNE) so it will be all good.

Just so that we have some sort of list of everyone who is in seximagtr and I will be keeping a list of the Nissan group. I'm going to assume either Inferno, Danny, or Mantis will keep a list for the Acura guys. Let's get another toll of who will all be there for Track Night and Dyno Day.

So far we have 5 Maxima's + 1 SE-R for both.

You guys can email me at csim@irvingtool.com
