I currently go to Eastfield Community College cause i was too late in registering for UTA.
next spring ill most likely transfer to UTA or UTD(doubt this though).
Going for Pre-Med

I guess i should have mentioned Vandergriff Honda
HmM but no one here has a Honda.
Anyone selling their CL-S/TL-S steering wheel?

That's cool, I go to UTA too. Grad in May, thank god.

I think I'm gonna keep my steering wheel for now. It's pretty useful most of the time. But I'll keep you in mind if i want to sell it.

Civic,

Well you should be seeing a reduction in miles lately . . . . because you are supposed to be hitting the books.

or we'll have to punish you one race at the track.

BTW - how are those springs? I hope you guys put them on the right way.

most definetely... tonight I finished my hw before going driving...

disclaimer: for all law enforcement the following is fictional...

SOOOO... now comes the story I logged on to write about...
I finally got to race an s2k. we went out to the races here in austin and met up with some friends. saw 2 300ZX TTs run but that's for adifferent story. well sidemarker told me it'd be close but I thought in the back of my mind that the s2k was gonna whoop my ass, espcially considering I'm a novice driver and he's had his car much longer and seems to drive better/launch better. first we get up to a red light and the road was a bit choppy so we skip a bit but both hook up dead even. Basically that was it, dead even all the way up to about 70.

Freeway race was where it got a bit more exciting. not the racing though, it was AFTER the racing. well slowed down to about 40 and gassed it all the way to about 120. We both slowed down after that b/c there were some cars ahead. As I slowed down to about 60 or so I saw an SUV cop car coming on fast from my left ( I as on the far right lane) . big sigh of relief was he flew by me. just to be safe I decided to exit the freeway right there since we were near an exit. Well just as I went into that exit lane I see the cop car ZOOM over 4 lanes to get into the exit ramp (all the while he is still in front of me) most likey b/c he figtured out that I was the black car he was looking for and not the black car he was following which was in the far left lane 4 car lengths ahead of me. So he zooms over barely missing the concrete wall where the highway Y intersects off to the exit ramp. I change back onto the freeway instantly and so I thought "maybe it's not me he's after or he would have gotten behind me". Then I turn to my right and right there onthe service road is the same SUV cop car trailing me laong the service road. he follows even when I change to a diff. freeway b/c there are no entrance ramps o nthat part of the service road. He ran through bunch of red lights to keep up but finally hit a redlight where there were cars everywhere and so he couldn't just pass. I felt lucky so when we busted a Uey and hit a stop light I gave a homeless guy $5. Anyways so that was my excitemtn for the eveing. time for sleep and a bit of grubb now.

SORRY it's so long.

o yeah, springs are on... I love them now... it rides a bit rougher but I can drive just like I did stock, no worries about scratching the bottom or whatever. Most ppl can't even tell it's dropped but I think it looks perfect...

civic...

your CL wouldn't happen to be debagged and you wouldn't have happened to be at Hawley's Billiards on Saturday night would you...?

There was a black 03 CL - I believe it was debagged, but can't remember. I asked the dude if it was actually an 03 or if he had just replaced the tail lights (like Mantis).

Just curious...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......

You sure did have a shit load of people in your car! Yeah, that was me. I got into my blue Maxima afterwards. It looked like you and your friends were trying to see what I was ridin in...?

You did have quite a confused look on your face after I asked that question. haha. My friends and I were hanging out there for a friends b-day. I was putting the b-day girl in her car to send her home because she was drunk as hell.

Oh well, small world is right...

yeah... there was one in each seat. I was quite confused b/c I dind't think someone who drove something else would ask a question about a CLS being an 03 or just new lights... still is bizare to me that I ran into someone on the board randomly...

Yeah, I saw the tailights but didn't see the headlights, so I decided to ask. I was kinda in a racing mood for some wierd reason so I decided I would start some shit with someone. I saw the CL and had to ask. 03 CLS would kick my ass so I decided to just go home... if it had been an 02 I probably wouldn't even have asked. Oh well, small world is right.

Of course now you know WHY that random person knew the difference between an 02 & 03 CL.

Danny, I'm off all day tomorrow, and I'll have my car back for a little bit. She's not done, but I'm taking to to the track anyway before she gets too heavy. Gimme a time & place.

I saw a 03 black CL-P that JUST had an accident. The cops weren't even there yet. The other car was a sonata, I couldn't tell whose fault it was, but it was obvious someone ran a red light headed northbound at the Tollway & Legacy interchange.

The fron't end of the CL-P was pretty much trashed.

It takes a lot of reminding to get David to do anything. I asked him where he wanted to meet, and he said the new Hooters in Arlington about 6. I know that's out of the way for you, so let me know what you want to do. I'll try to catch him tonite and make him decide on an official time and place. I'll post again. Enjoy sleeping in on Fri..

danny, you have my cell? At the very least, we can meet up down there at around the same time. No need for either you or I to go all outta the way to hook up. Let me know what he says, we'll figure it out.

Hey, anybody know where the transmission fluid cap is on the 99 CL 3.0? Don't bust my chops--I didn't trade my TLS in--just asking 'cause someone was asking.

Comptech says they have a low noise problem with the ice box which is why they are slow in the release. They say it is mostly at idle but won't ship until it is fixed. No ETA but finally a reason for the big wait. What a bitch.

Thanks for lookin out for me Civic, unfortunately it looks like someone beat me there already........but...... I may have found some anyway. Zapata posted some pics in the gallery section, and it came up that he had ct springs, but hasn't put them on yet cause he's considering coilovers. So i PMed him and told him if he wants to sell the springs, I'd take them. So he said he would sell them to me, we just haven't worked out a price yet. I feel better about buying from Zapata too, since he's been a member for a while.

Sorry about missing the springs. You should post/email that you are next in line if the other deal falls apart, though.

Casper and Civic--what are the chances of you two discussing cls stuff and not even knowing each other? How cool is that. This just goes to show we need to have a meet. RUF is the only one I have met so far. Inferno

true true inferno.. we need a big meet... nov 22 right?

here's some good reading if you ever thought of putting shit gas ( 87 octane ) in your car and was afraid to.

http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran...rds=gas&page=1

our compressino ratio is nothing compared to the M3, so if that thing isn't knocking then we sohuldn't be... matter of fact, the Accord ran better with lower octane gas... strnagehuh?

Interesting, but if I read it right, 6 to 10 percent loss of performance on regular due to changing of the advance to prevent knock. I don't mind the extra pennies. Actually, I have found a way of justifying it: in McKinney regular grade is $1.45 ($1.59 for premium) and in Plano I get premium for $1.46, so I just buy my gas when I am in Plano!!!

A novice question on lighting, gentleman:

PIAA Fog Light Bulb Type: 9006 twin pack.

Who has these, are they noticable, do you like them, were they easy to install, and is $75 plus $7 shipping a good deal?

Thanks, Inferno

They were the fog lights according to Acura TL's web page--they had a different model number for the high beams. I think the TLS fog lights are too dull. I didn't think this until I saw a TLS at night and I passed him looking in the mirror, he had his fogs on and they looked dull, not crisp. I want to look crisp, 'ya know?
