Alright, I'll take u up on that offer. I'm gonna show up at your door one day, and you better hand over the keys.

Yea and I do expect those keys and the car back also...I better not see a post here a week later telling me how it took you a drive all the way to Texas to get the true "feel" of them

Rootbeer only jumps onto this thread if you PM him, or at least that was the case that last meet I organized.

PlanoTLS never signed up on the CL forums. DuckBlue and I met him on the TL forums where we started out, but realized that the CL board was a bit more fun. If you go over to the TL forums and PM him, he'll reply pretty quick, or at least he did last time I tried...

Well, the Zeals are pretty stiff. They do degrade the ride quality quite a bit. But handling improves a lot at the same time. Gotta give a little to get a little. Take a spin at the next meet, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think rootbeer still visits every now and again.

PlanoTLS never had an account over here, only on A-TL. I see him every now and again on the boards.

EDIT: Damn, Casper beat me to it.

THAT'S ME!!!

Welcome aboard AzN Retribution.... interesting name btw.

If you've read any of this thread, which would take FOREVER, you'd see, we're all somewhat insane, most of us are racing fools, and we all love to have a good time with our cars...

Inferno... THANK YOU. for some reason, I couldn't find the actual date yall planned on doing the Ennis thing again and no one would post it when I asked.

I've decided to go with a y-pipe, so most likely it will be here and installed by that point (i so excited)

There is a company out of Canada that sells them for a little over $200 and they are getting great reviews... As I was telling Mantis, there's a site devoted to Maxima Maintenance (www.motorvate.ca) and they did a dyno before and after the y-pipe and showed a 31hp and 27ft/lbs gain in the engine. I was in shock! The company claims only around 20hp, but dyno's rarely lie.

If you guys don't have a y-pipe, what do you have...?

Hey AzNRet, it doesn't matter if you got an Accord or not, we just like cars, period.

Hope you can make it out to the race/dyno day, I'm going to talk to the Dyno shop today to see if I can get some final numbers on the costs.

You said you transmission sucks, have you had it replaced already?

I tried to call my DMD advisor, (John LaCourse), no answer. Then I tried calling the front desk to see if she knew anything about the customer appreciation week, she didn't know anything, so she transferred me to service dept. The service dept lady didn't know anything and said let me get a service advisor. I waited for about 5 mins before she came back, and she finally transferred me to someone.

He said all they do is a general inspection of the car... brakes, suspension, fluid levels and so on...

ok, I just gotta say this....

BIN!!! You KNOW that 97% of everything that chick says is absolutely pointless or just flat out wrong...

You should have stopped at Customer Appreciation week and called DMD like Mantis did.

Ok, i'm ok now.

You make frequent trips across country or what? 4000-5000 a month is insane.

Hanzie,

You may want to try Kaufmann Tire as well. They had my Toyos in stock.

I bet you could get the two to bid on your tires.

HmM everyone seems to say that. especially when they see my Odometer.. 28,873 or somewhere around there.

I got this in february.. so..

average of 3208 miles per month..
at one point I did do 4000 - 5000 a month
but thats when i had school
my senior year of HS i had gone to this
private school in arlington. I live in mesquite
so thats a good 40 - 50 miles one way.
both ways thats 100 miles. Some day I'd do it twice
cause I got out early. I'd go home at 10 or 11, come back at 3 to pick up my brother. Other times Id drive all the way up to north dallas to the galleria from arlington and back and then to mesquite. etc. Ive also been to houston 5 or 6 times this year so thats roughly, what 300 miles going there? not counting the 200 miles or so I spend driving around with friends when Im there..
so HmM adding all that up
yes I guess you could say I drive just a lil more then your average joe

My driving has dropped off a bit since Im in college and a real lazy@$$ now. and also my car was in the shop for a week getting tranny fixed one month.. then in the shop again another month to get bumper replaced, radiator replaced(I hit a tiretread in the middle of I20.) and then again in the shop for a week and a half getting partially repainted (Honda botched the paintjob on my car from factory and the clearcoat had started cracking in neat lil patterns).

btw Has anyone besides me had bad experiences with Vandergriff?

I've had bad experiences with Vandergriff Acura... the manager there (one of them) not the general manager though, was a dick to me... I came to buy a CLS and he told me I was wasting his time if I was gonna go shop somewhere else after he gave me his deal. I told him to go fuck himself and I'd rather pay a few hundred more somewhere else then give him a dime...

I got my car at Vandergriff Acura and was pleased with the service. Everyone was very friendly and informative. There is one guy in the service dept that's kind of a dick. He's the bald guy, i can't remember his name though. I always call James, he's been very helpful.
