I agree with doing this on the 22nd. I just hope the weather holds. My tires came today--they get installed tomorrow! Just in time for the races...

I think so, but not sure. It was a combination-package deal for the sways, springs and ice box.

Dean will usually give a little bit when buying multiple items. I think it may be shipping related, but not sure.

Anyway, it was $785 for all 3, the ice box was 240.

civic:
I didnt feel the sways giving any penalty at all on the freeway. If anything, the steering wheel felt ever-so-slightly tighter, which I actually enjoyed- more road response.

I think you'll like those tires Inferno. And with your set up you'll appreciate them even more.

Just don't burn 'em up before the 22nd. :P

DeezNuts and Inferno.

Dean just PM'd me and said the Ice Boxes have not shipped yet.

He'll be calling CT tomorrow to find out where they stand.

I read Austin519's review of the sways on his site, and he said it didn't affect ride quality, but his H&R springs made it ride rough.

I really don't feel like taking the comfort from my car right now... I don't really take twisties that much so mostly I'm straight line racing... the springs are just for loooks for me...
I just had my springs and sways put in and I love the ride now. It is hard for me to tell where the ride is caused by the springs and where it is caused by the sways, however, since they were put in together. The sways really help with the corners--I have found myself looking for sharp turns to drive on. I get the feeling they didn't affect the ride quality at all, either--just the springs do that.

I believe Comptech uses an unloaded antiroll bar, meaning they are put in without having to torque the "arms" so they are not contributing too much to the "springing" of the car except in hard turns. I believe that, as such, their affect during highway miles would remain vertually none. Does anybody have a different understanding about this?

Heh, I ran into CharlesNguyen (he has a body kit on the CL molded from the TL kit) on the George Bush turnpike at Coit Rd.

I was in my daily driver, so he obviously didn't recognize me(not that he has ever seen me before). I couldn't keep up with the bastard! He was doing about 90 mph, and well, my little ol' daily car can't keep up with that.

So in short, I got toasted by a CL-P today. :P

How much tread is left? In mm?? 10-11 is new so 7mm would be about 70%.

I'd figure you have at least 50%. So $50 each for 50% - 60%, $70 for 70% and $75 for 80%. Just a guess . . ., you can always ask for more or have them make and offer.

Remember, you can get new tires like Inferno did for about $100 each.

Still no ETA on the ice box

and I can't work in my spring and sway installation before Friday.

So it will be a couple of weeks before I can work that in now.

I was thinking about it, maybe the back seats too, i heard they are easy to get out. My seat probably weighed at least 50 pounds.

I had the back seats out when i lowered my car, cause i was messing with the settings for my shocks, and i feel that having the back seats out actually made my car feel slower, oh well, it might just be me.

The bottom cushions for the back seats are easy to get out, its the abck support that is somewhat of a pain. But probably less of a pain than the front seat.
