Santa Claus is coming to town.

Just got an email from Dean with the tracking numbers.

The goods are scheduled to arrive Monday or Tuesday.

Darn, Inferno will already be running his by then. :P

BTW - we should take some bets on what we think out Dyno numbers will be.

i can tell you what they are gonna be, between the range of 197 to 210 depending if you have intake and headers, just my guess, but it should be pretty accurate considering i have a dyno sheet sitting in front of me heh, then again, some of your cars may have a little more pep than mine or others from the factory, you might have what is called a Wednesday car, hehe

Danny,

I decided to order the Apex i N1 catback exhaust, it is a single exit exhaust. I decided against the dual World Sport cause this car doesnt need dual exhaust and is more expensive and shows very minimal hp gain, at least from what everyone is saying. Everyone that has gotten the single exit exhaust says they gained more hp from their dyno results, i guess we will see, if i get my exhaust on in time, i will join you guys for the dyno runs, except that i have no base dyno to go off of for the S.

Well, no. Dean just PM'd me and said the Ice Boxes will ship on Monday or Tuesday.

For me it really did matter at this time. I won't be able to get the work done for a week or two.

Oh well, at least they are are scheduled to ship.

Ice Boxes

Who all ordered ice boxes? And who is installing it themselves and who is taking it to a shop? Do we just want to DIY? It sounded pretty easy and we can always test it on RUF's and if it gets all f**ked up, then we know better! JK, dude!

Wise Guy eh! :P

I just went to CTC and got a quote for springs ,sways and ice box. $300.

I'm betting $225-250 for just springs and sways.

I know I won't be able to DIY after this weekend. At least for a few weeks.

Inferno, send me a pm on how to reach you.

Man making me feel worse than I already do. :P

I just hope it doesn't take as long for my shoulder to recover from surgery as my knee did.

Man it's a bitch getting old. :shakehd:

I can remember the days when I built my own engines, rebuilt carbs, wiring, set-up read-end gearing, etc. Now I'm ready for assisted living. :P

I may do that. Let me know what that would be.

Then I'll need to see what the savings are by just having CTC do the springs.

Yep, didn't you hear. It's one beer between bolts. By time he gets to putting on the rears, it's taking him 5x as long.

RUF
There you go Ruf, you know how it goes, beer between each bolt, cig between each beer. But seriously, i only say a whole day(5hours) cause there is always usually something that goes wrong or some other complication that takes alittle longer to figure out and fix problem. Realistically, about 2-3 hours cause we take our time to make sure everything is done right. I looked at the comptech sways, so i answered my own question on front and rears, so he figures 100 dollars to do front and rear.

They are reversable headers. You can have one pipe coming out the back or four. Just depends on the look you want. If you want the 4 pipe look, it's slower because you have 4 exhaust from the head connecting to one pipe. . . :P :P

Save your $! The intake is easy, at least the AEM is, but i don't see how the CT could be that much different. It's kinda confusing b4 you do it, but now that I've done one, I think it could be done in an hour or less. And you get that satisfaction of a DIY job.

Haha, funny, NOT, hehe. The headers didnt make me slower, but sure didnt make me any faster thats for damn sure. I saw some dyno results of the Dc sport header and it was very minimal gain in the mid range, 2hp at one point. Oh well, you know thats probably what you guys will get out of the headers for your cars.

I guess you haven't heard of OBX, headers are no longer a grand. $500 regularly priced, $340 on group buy.

heh, what Danny said, $340 shipped, should add about 30 WHP at 5900 RPM

Can't beat that with a stick.

hey guys, waiting between classes right now.. anyways so Mantis has headers? damnit... I'll never get a set of headers... OBX will never make headers for me and custom bending is a pain in the ass b/c it'll throw off the aligment of everything else inthe header... so my sprigns still aren't installed yet and I have to go on a homosexual camping trip with my stupid biology field lab class... one night only and I don't think I can handle it... I'm a city boy, never been out in hte wild without a nice Escalade to spend the night in... my idea of survival skills is remembering the pin code on your credit card so you can get cash in case you're at a 5 star restuarant that won't take your Amex... ahhhh!!! so I'm about to go rent a tent/sleeping bag/flashlight/bug spray for the one night venture... O yeah, did I mention I'm gonna MISS the freakin' TX OU game coverage b/c of this trip? I'm hopin' the Sooners kick UT's ass again this year like we did two years ago... *SOONERS*

My springs should come on on Sunday if my friend is not busy. It should take us 4-5 hours to install depending on if I pass out from putting away too many bears between bolts... then back to reading physics before it rapes me yet again in a few weeks... I'll check back on the board once in a while to see if there's any big events planned... I can't wait to get to the track, my car is back and in brand new condition... I'mma race my friend's Prelude (the black one you guys saw at Putt Putt) soon b/c he just got nitrous... I just wanna shut him up b/c he thinks he can beat me now that he's juicin' a 50 shot... it should be a close race... I think I can pull somewhere around a 14.5 out of my ass and I know he can hang with that...
Have a good w/end guys... and what's with the sudden rush to mods recently? I wish I was working so I could be a badass too ... my next project is sways and the IceBox... 240+280=520... it's a lotta money... I think I'mma wait and try to get some used sways and buy the IceBox new... hard to find but I can stick it out... anyways... later...
