And, when's the off-season for the Innis track? This is blazing-hot-Texas, I figured they'd be open year-round.

Civic were kindly showed me some springs for sale in the black market for $150. i think the guy said he's had them on the car for about a year. Now the guy said he forgot it will be + shipping, but he didn't say how much that would be yet. Should I still go for that or just quit whining and pay $260 for new ones???

I just checked the Texas Motorplex calendar, and it looks like Nov. 22 is it for this season.

Here's how Nov. looks. Calendar

Ultimate Street Night on the 1st, and 22nd.
Fast Fri. on the 8th and 15th.
I don't know what the difference is, unless that Fast Fri. thing is the high school night where they post the times on the board.

I'm still planning on having the work done at a shop. Just waiting on all the stuff to arrive so I can work out some kind of discount for so much work at once. There's no scenario where I can DIY this much stuff cuz I simply don't have the connections to get the tools and help to get it done.

RUF,

That would be cool. I work up in McKinney and I have been working a days + evenings a lot lately, but Wednesday nights are pretty good usually.

Maybe we could hook up at that coffee shop someone mentioned. Who knows, maybe some of the CLS guys might want to come by and see some WDP TLS's

Anyone know what the story is with the CT sways? I was told they would be ready for shipping by the end of September but now I am being told the 10th of October. Gotta get this stuff installed by November...

CT Sways? or CT Ice Box? The sways should be readily available, I'm not sure about the Ice Box, but I think it starts shipping next Monday.(Don't quote me on that)

Mantis,

I have the swaybars on order from Comptech and for some reason they keep pushing my shipping date back.

I just sent an e-mail to Dean Baty on the CL Comptech forum getting in line for the Ice Box. I hope I can figure out how to install it!!!

I ordered CT sways from Dean last week, and the ship date was pushed back a week. I was told by him that mine would go out the door Monday, and arrive at the latest on Friday.

Hope that helps.

Okay, I need advice. I can get used ct springs for $185, should I go for it, or is that too much. I know they usually go for a little lower, but used ct springs are rare right now. What do you all think??

if that is shipped, then go for it. Sure there will be a better deal later, but doesn't anybody believe in instant gratification anymore?

Just you I guess. I guess I'll go buy em. For that price I can get them installed for what it would be just for new springs.

4 more hp!

Check out my new mod. It gives me 4 hp to the wheels, I figure 1 hp per cap. I can really feel it when I hit VTEC.

I'm gonna try. I just went over there and told the guy I'd take him. Hopefully he won't disappear like the last guy I wanted to buy springs from.

Mantis,
I have a question about web design. I'm making a little site just to show some pics I've taken of my car (I know, nothing to look at yet). I've got a few pics scaled down to 1024 x 768 (I want to keep those pics that size because they will be linked to the small pics) and I put them on the page using width and height constrains of 200 x 150. But when I do that they all look really crappy, like when you scale a pic down in a basic photo editor, lots of jagged lines and stuff. What's the best way to do that? Should I just copy each pic in PS and make them smaller, or what?

Danny, I use Macromedia Fireworks (basically photoshop) to scale down my pictures. It has the ability to run batch processes. If you give it a list of images, it will scale them down to thumbnails, or whatever size you specify without making the lines all 'jagged'. It also makes them a hell of a lot smaller bytewise. I don't play with photoshop as much as I do fireworks, but I'm sure photoshop has a similar function whereby you can scale down a list of images with the click of a button. I'd recommend against using HTML to scale them down for the exact reason you have listed.

EDIT: yeah, photo editor really isn't the best program for that, you'll just need a better image editor is all.

danny... doesn't that say "theft deterrent" on it? those valve stems are gonna be gone in less than a month yo... talk about putting your car up as a target for petty theft! they look cool though...

glad you're getting those springs.. 185 is not a bad deal... I've seen them go for 200 shipped...

Mantis,
I have an old version of ps and I just scaled them down and saved them as another file. I was just trying to do it without having to double the image files.

civic,
you can't take the valve caps off by hand....that's why they are theft deterrent. You have to have a special key to get them off.

I have been told by Comptech the swaybars are in and are shipped.

I also talked to Dean tonight and he is pretty confident that the ice box will ship early this week (Tuesday/Wednesday). Did everyone see the numbers for the Comptech Ice Box? 13 WHP and 8 WTQ.

Needless to say I ordered mine today.

Coolio. I look forward to getting this stuff put in.
I'm waiting to find out if I even got my OBX headers order in. I sent the paypal check to the SSAutoChrome guys on Wednesday, but seeing the "group buy has ended" announcement Friday I'm a little nervous I'll have to wait for December and pay $500. I sent a "Can you check my order?" email to them today, and got back, "OK. Thanks." Grrrreeeeaaaaatttt.

The OBX headers came in today. They look great! Some folks were questioning their build quality, hell, they look just fine to me. I might try to install them on my own depending on what I'm quoted. If I decide to do it myself, who wants to help me fuck up my car? :P
