Yeah mantis, let me know when it comes in, I'll be happy to give you a hand. Maybe we can have another little mini-meet.

You only have to make 2 cuts thru the pipe for the bypass valve. It was easiest with a hack saw, I tried to use a friends saws-all but the blade kept catching so I just did it by hand.

I think the actual commercial they played during the game is the best one. It's shorter, but it has all the good hits in it. The long one has to much talking in it, like when he gets hurt and stuff.

I decided to go find some thing to replace my bypass valve for when I go to the track. I went to Alamo motorsports and got a piece of turbo tubbing that fit perfectly. I haven't driven it yet, so I don't know if there is any difference, but I'll let ya'll know later.

I think someone may have mentioned this back b4 the dyno day, but I don't remember, I found out that Alamo has a dyno, and the first Sat. of every month they charge $40 for 3 pulls.

I hate Brice, he is the biggest ass. I remember back in the day they use to charge like 180 for Dyno Runs. Thats because they had the only Dyno in the Metroplex besides I think HOtech

Danny, so you're using that instead of the bypass valve for more air flow?

If thats the case, I just might leave my bypass valve off all together and hope for the best.

I figured since it's not really much of a rainy season, yet, I'd take the bypass off. I was reading a tread the other day where Tom2 (I think) said that air gets thru the bypass valve all the time. I don't really want hot dirty air going in so I'm just gonna use this for a while. Then when it starts raining every other day, I may put the valve back in. The swap was very easy, only took me 10-15 min. and it would have been faster if I didn't have to use a wrench cause I didn't have the right size socket.

If you get yours in b4 the we go to the track, I wouldn't put in the bypass for a while. I was reading somewhere, I think the AEM site, where they said the valve is not for track use. Maybe they're hinting when you go WOT the valve opens up a lot cause there's more suction.

How long did they say it would be b4 you got the intake?

probably not till next week. :/

They don't have blue in stock, and I didn't want to get silver and regret it.

That's not bad, that will be plenty of time to get it in b4 the track. When I got mine I had to wait like 3 weeks. There was a mix up with my credit card and email address apparantly, so they couldn't get ahold of me to get a new card #. I finally called after a week or 2 to see how much longer it was gonna be and they told me they had it ready to ship, but just needed a new card #. After that I got it in a couple of days.

well ladies, the ladies are going to mardi gras those weekends to do some drinking and flashing, quoted by her. I noticed every friday in March is either fast friday or ultimate street, so we will probably go one of those times, plus, mantis, that will give u some time to get your CAI in, and then we will see who is the slow poke, sucka!!!

I don't know who I talked to, some white guy in his late 20s, 30s maybe He was nice though. There was a bunch of Talons and Eclipses sitting around, but i don't remember a purple one. Maybe he had it painted, I know I would if it was purple.

Brice is kinda tall and has short hair. His Talon is not like "purple" purple, more of a Maroonish Purple i guess.

That's cool, I know it's short notice, I just remembered about the auto show yesterday when I say a billboard for it. Maybe since the Dallas one is farther off we can get a meet for that one.

Anyone know of any decent shops in the Dallas area that have good prices? I'm wanting to get a turbo set up, gonna get it piece by piece cause i don't have any money... Any other 2.2/2.3s wanting to make a custom turbo? I could probably use a lot of help if anyone else wants to work together...

I don't know about their prices, but that Alamo shop I visited the other day said they do a lot of turbo work. Their # is 817.860.4300.
