I bought a floor jack from Sears today. Craftsman, $39, and it comes in a matching black plastic case my tool set is in. I had bought a Craftsman tool set after the Comptech CAI install at my house once I figured out my tools sucked. Also got a torque wrench (100 lbs scale--the "click" when done kind)--also in a black plastic case.

I hope to see a few familiar faces on Saturday when you are making your twisties run.

When you come by MSR, just go up to the paddock area--to the left towards the garages (not to the right which is pit lane). Up at the tower next to pit lane, there will be a flag. I am in the Blue run group, so I will be in the paddock area except for when the blue flag is up (and about five minutes before when you head for pit row). There are restrooms in the main building. Pretty cool setup with lots of cars to check out.

Good Mexican food in Hico for lunch and back to Grandberry.
Inferno had suggested we do it on the same weekend as the roadcourse ranch as it was in close procimity, we might end up there.
Lets get a show of hands and make some plans.
This sounds like a good run...

that sounds like a good deal, what's the jack limit? how much was the torque wrench, I've been thinking about getting one of those too.

2 1/4 tons (which is more than the entire TL-S). I wanted something I could take to the track--and the case was a nice touch for keeping it organzied and the trunk clean!

I got the torque wrench from The Tire Rack and it is very nice. It is $30 and goes up to 150 lbs (not 100 as I had said earlier). Torque Wrench The lug nuts are 19 mm, if I recall correctly, and take 80 lbs of torque to meet factory specifications.

just got back from lunch, remember the asian chick in the is300? Ran into her again today.

I had to catch up as she was driving fast... finally caught up to her, she said she found my website and stuff. complimented me on the car. Then I quickly proceeded to get my mac on...

Ahh, I'm so happy I got to redeem myself. I was kicking myself in the nuts for not following through the first time. I made sure it didnt happen again. Ohh, and yes, its confirmed, shes hot.

TEXAS TWISTIES RUN TO HICO 2003

OK Gentilemen, lets see if we can get this together. This will be a prelimanary plan and I am up for suggestions.

Meet in Granbury 10AM ish Sat. the 6th at the Albertsons parking lot that is on the left side of 377 as you go south.

Let me digress, make your way from your point of origin to 377S on the southwest corner of Ft. Worth. This will be Hwy 20 and 377. Go South on 377 to Granbury if you get to the bridge that goes across the lake you have gone to far. Back track to Albertsons.

We leave the Albertsons parking lot and continue on 377 S (south) to 51 S to 204 S to 67 S. There is a look out off 67 that will be a great oppertunity for photos and a break. Then we continue to 220 S to Hico.

Lunch in Hico and we back track north on 220 to 1824 N to Daffau
and take 2481 N to 2157 E to 51 N back to Granbury.

Then we hook up with Inferno at MSR.

sounds like a plan Bluesman. I remember highway 51 from one summer when I was working as an escort driver for mobile homes. We had to take that road and it was really really twisty, I remembered it cause I knew one day when I had a nice car, I wanted to go back and drive it.

I wish I could, but we have to finish painting the kids room Saturday morning. Besides, I hgate putting the g ride on uncharted roads. Potholes and big bumps in the road are my enemy.

I used to live in Austin and I would make the run from the city out to Lake Travis and back all the time. Unfortunatly they have straghtened the road considurably since then. I actually spun my 79 RX7 while racing a guy on a motorcycle on 2222. Managed not to hit any thing and continued on. I just got a little behind in my steering.

There are pretty much constant runs going on between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Last time, we went until 4:00 but I wasn't sure if that was because we were running late. If you go three hours from 10:30 (assume a late start), you will catch the last few run groups and be fine. Much later and you will miss out...

Of course, you can stop in on your way to the meet--say an hour early, watch a little driving, then decide if you want to come back or not in the afternoon. You could even push back the start time for the drive if that helps...

Either is fine with me!!!

STi Update!!!

OK, here is the deal. I ordered a white STi due in today. My dealer calls and says "your white STi is in Seattle and it will be at least 10 more days--or maybe a few weeks."

We talk for a while.

Then he says "but they sent us a black STi with gold wheels that we didn't order." Big color mix up at the docks or whatever.

So I say, anybody got a deposit on the black one? The answer being, no, it was supposed to be your white one so it isn't sold yet--just being unloaded off the truck now.

So I say, SCREW THE WHITE ONE, GIVE ME THE BLACK ONE THAT IS HERE TODAY!!!

So they did. I am now getting Java Black!!! I pick it up tomorrow night after work!!!

I am so not going to sleep tonight!!!
