Believe me, I did expect about a month after I turned her over... but keeping in mind, I had taken it in about 1 month ago and put a ticket in for a new tranny. I wanted to drive her as long as I could until I couldn't take it anymore. Well, three days after I turn her in, my car is ready.

I'm just as amazed as you are. I thought Neil (Service Rep) was playing with my emotions when he called. I told him like 20 times "Yer kiddin' me!" "I don't believe it!" "Yer kiddin' me!"

I didn't want to go right back to work so I drove her around for about an hour. Ohh baby, does it feel good.

wow, that is cool how they got your car back sooo quick!!! Also, I know some of those guys who run the Horsepower Store!!! I'm probably going to go up there this weekend. I'm up to meet whenever. About the same day and time, as last time is good for me.

DuckBlue,
When you were there, did you see the prices?? If they marked it up, i probably could get alittle discount. I'll probably go there saturday after lunch sometime. If i dont see you there, then i'll let you guys know if they have any and how much. But, i wouldnt count on getting a discount. The salesman that works there now, i know pretty well, but he was working at a car stereo shop, and hooked me up good, but we will see what he can do there. I dont know if i feel like meeting up there at the Horsepower store because there usually is alot of muscle cars there that could probably hand us our asses. So, if you guys want to meet saturday, i can meet probably at the same place as last time?

they charge the same price as the zaino site, just without the shipping, but add tax... i guess you come out about even, depending how much you buy

i'm going to be busy from 10-7 this saturday, so if we want to meet, can it be in the evening? i know they're probably not open at night, so just let me know later, on anything that can be done with the prices, if any

and yeah, there's no question about it, those muscle cars haul ass

Hmm, I went WOT on new transmission a couple of times, and she doesn't give me the 'burst' if you will between first and second. Before I took the CL in for a new tranny, I could normally get a chirp on the tires between 1st and 2nd. Now, its just slow as hell after coming out of second, but it shifts a hell of a lot smoother.

It feels like the transmission was tweaked down or some shit so it wouldn't blast off or something. Keeping in mind I don't know shit about cars, I just know what I feel when driving.

I think I'm gonna go to the Denton track this weekend to see if my times get any higher vs. the last time I went out there. And if my service rep is reading this, then uhh, uhh, uhmm.... Well I never went WOT, yeah thats it.

Hey Duckblue,
I went to the Horsepower Store friday and they had a bunch of the Zainos stuff. My friend obviously couldn't sell it to me for cheaper because he said its regulated by zainos on how much everybody can sell it to. Plus, if he sold it to me cheaper, he probably wouldn't make any money. He said that he also gets it from that Steve guy eman was talking about.

I didnt realize that with the Zainos stuff, you basically have to buy every one of the products to use it. I bought some for a christmas present for my bro. Im gonna have to wait on buying it for me cause its fairly expensive.

Hey Hanzie, how much was it for a full package? I'm about out of the Pinnacle Package I bought earlier this year. I'm looking to try either Zaino, or that Blackfire stuff people are talking about.

Mantis,
I'm not sure how much everything is. If you go on the zainos website, they have the price list for all their products. I dont know which ones you want if not all of them. The starter kit Horsepower store was selling was about 50 dollars. That included z-1,z-2,z-6,z-7, and the applicator. I think thats what the starter kit was, i cant remember hehe.

Mantis-
You really do not need all of them. I only got:

Z-1 Show Car Polish LOK Pre-Cleaner and Gloss Enhancer
Z-2 Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Finishes
Z-7 Show Car Wash
Z-18 ClayBar

If the starter kit on the website included everything and was only 50 buck it must have been a trial size of some sort because I think the claybar itself was like $16. Well, hope this helps.

I just came back from the horsepower store, and got Z1,2,6,7 plus applicator
$45 something after tax

i chose not to get the clay bar, so i'm just gonna give it a try.. if it turns out rough, i'll redo it and go back and buy one

they're all the full size things that the zaino web site carries, and its the same price- but add tax

i cant wait till i have some free time to put it on

i take it no one wanted to do lunch today.. haha

i was at cheddars around 12:30..
there was a gold TL-P parked first space in front..
as i left (around 1:30) there was a black 1st gen CL with type R stickers on each side, as well as the trunk..

all i can say is.. why?
anyone on these forums happen to own that one?

oh yeah, i installed my comptech sways tonight, and it feels great.. its just too awesome
i took it around 190 making u-turns under the bridge at 35-40mph and no body-roll... i absolutely love it
now i just gotta try to keep myself from taking ALL turns at 40

Hopefully I can make it Saturday. My old man died Wednesday, so I may need to take care of some family stuff. I'll check the boards as often as I can, but I in general won't be somewhere with a good Net connection.

Let me know what the deal is.

Thanx DuckBlue,

install and test the damn sways when i'm not even in town, plan a meeting while i'm all the way across the freakin country, and not even call to tell me!!!!!!!!!!!

and of all places, cheddars........ hahahaha........
btw they don't even have them up there. I've seen one White CL-S up here, guessing 01 or 02. It was so uplifting for me

I've seen very few rice rockets, which is surprisingly disappointing in a weird way..... haha, no stupid civics to make fun of......

ah well, i'll be back sunday, and Bin, you better come over and show me your sways...

hope to see you all soon, and have a meet before the end of the year.
