Some kids in a 75 shot Teg ran up on us. I raced one of his buddies a few nights ago in his 5 speed vigor. They saw civic and I hauling ass & busted a You-ie. We hooked up in the parking lot, bullshitted for 5 minutes. Then Civic & I proceeded to bust his ass both from a rolling start & from a standing stop.

I give the guy credit though, he was hanging in there, but his third gear was completly shot.

Most of the vids I have are complete shit. And the rest aer so so, no real reason to post them.

25 days till we can buy Casper a fucking drink LEGALLY.

Mark has nickel & dimed his way up the mod chain, & he hauls ass too.

Later fuckers.
Thanks for the pics Mantis . . . reminds me that last night was real.

I'm surprised we didn't get busted and thank God we didn't . . there were plenty of opportunities and 100 or so in a 45 would have been it for us . . . probably because it was so late and on a back 3 lane road with not traffic . . no reason for the police to be out there.

And Casper, man that had to suck sitting there drinking a coke while we had beer , , but not for long.

and yes, those little mods here and there add up . . . :P

I got mine at Kaufman Tires for $157ea, but I found out a few weeks ago they've gone up . . . $187 now.

I won't be going back with them at this point, too pricey for tires that'll probably last me 2-2 1/2 yrs.

I just hope there's another light weight tire to choose from when I'm ready.

Yep, you should be letting those auto tranny TypeS's run with you like that . . :P

I just wish we could have been at the track to get some times . . the car was feeling pretty good last night . . . must be those nickle and dime mods.

damn that was a good price.

I haven't decided what kind of tire I want yet. I would have got Toyos for that price, but I may have to look for something else now.

do you guys know if it's worth it to pay a dealership 350 bucks to do the 45,000 mile checkup or do you think i can just get my oil changed and tranny flushed somewhere else???

what all is involved in the checkup. If it's mainly the oil change and tranny fluid change that sounds too high. And oil change at a dealership is about $25, so that's $325 for a tranny flush.

no, i mean, they check the suspension, bleed the brakes, replace tranny fluid, change oil, and all kinds of other shiat. i guess my main question is whether I really need it or not or can I just assume that there is nothing wrong with my car and get my tranny flushed and get my oil changed for like 100 bucks?

when I get the service checkups, I have them go down the list of thing that they do.

If there is something that I dont need, or can do on my own for cheap, I tell them to leave it off. that will keep the price down a bit.

My 2 cents

Dittos . . . most of the time they just visually inspect a lot of things . . . and charge you a car payment to do it. :shakehd:

I really need to get that damn knock sensor replaced. I played with my nissan buddies last night and they ran all over me as if I was nothing. :shakehd:

And boy are those roads fun. Many a mustang have had a wake up call while playin down K Ave/Greenville

Casper

PS. I shall be poisoning my liver on the weekend after Oct 13th (my b-day) for obvious reasons. Details to come.

What do you guys think?
Civic, I am also thinking of doing the pully thing. It's my understanding that for every pound you take off the crank you gain as much as 2 hp. I can go from a 9 lb pully to a 1.5 lb pully with the new same as stock diameter pully from UR. Also from what I read the engine will rev more freely and get into the V-Tech quicker. If this is true, this is a cheep mod for the hp gain.

Does anyone have any experiance they would like to share?

hey guys, everyone call DMD in Plano and suggest Free Carwash Saturdays.

Tell them you know some Benz dealers that do it and it helps sales and whatnot. Plus it's good to get the owners together.

They offer them as part of any service, but not free anytime you want to drop in. I think that's the point they are trying to make.

Ok guys, bout time for an offical track night. I was checking the TMP calender and it looks like they really reduced the # of track nights this year. It appears that the only times we can go is Oct. 24th and Nov. 14th. I plan on attending both those nights if that's all I get this year.

So who's in for Oct 24th first of all? A friend I work with with an S2K is gonna go too.

sigh

I've got soccer practice until 6:45, so the earliest I can leave is 7:30, but I could be there by 8:30ish . . .

However, we have an 8am game so I probably won't close the track down like Inferno and I did last time . . .

The 14th is looking pretty good.

I will suggest that with only 2 nights on the agenda you better plan on both because if you skip the 1st one you might get rained out or end up with a conflict on the other one.

I would love to go the 14th seeing as how that's a Fast Friday, but exams will take presidence if needed. I hate Ultimate Street nights, so I might go and just watch. It all depends when I get there. But i'm plannin on both!

I just noticed that it looks like they're gonna have some Sat.s to race too. The calender in Nov. shows that the 1st, and 8th are LTI Fast Saturdays. And the 22nd is an Ultimate Street Day. Interesting... it looks like we have a few more options after all.
