$20 to rent a helmet ($300 to buy a really good helmet)
$20 for "race photo" by a pro photographer

$??? to prep your car. This will include about $30 for the inspection, I had new pads and the rotors turned (under warranty--and I used 1/2 my new pad in one weekend), tires need to be in good shape, etc. I did my 22,500 mile tune-up to "prep" the car and had them flush the brake fluid with Super Blue (Redline would work, etc). I think I spent about $200 but I had to anyway.

$50 misc. other stuff: window cleaner, big plastic tote box to put stuff in, folding lawn chair, sun screen, etc.

All told, you are going to drop $600 on the weekend, which is pretty steep.

The good news is that you can spread half before the event and half after the event if you use your credit card to pay for everything.

The bad news is that you want to go back again immediately because it is more fun than you have ever had in your life. Seriously...
Thanks Inferno -

You forget to mention one thing.

Beating a Porche . . . . Priceless

Dayum! Can I actually order the 5AT SC now? Time to hit up Dean and see what the deal is...I didnt think it was available yet!!!

Jeremy works at Saturn now? Heh, I figured he would have something to do with it. He's the only person I could think of outside of you that would know thats my roommate's car.

Acura Presence Requested.....?

Well guys, maybe they just like you for some reason, but your presence has been requested for our meet.

We've got an accord that hangs out with our group a lot now and he knew that I frequent the CL boards. That and a few of the older members like yall's cars, so here is the meet info if any of you would like to go.

That SC is BEAUTIFUL!!!

The one big problem is that according to Comptech, it is only making 35 HP extra at the wheels on the 5 AT slushbox. $5,000 for 35 HP seems a bit steep for me. If you have the 6 MT, the gains are 50-55 HP at the wheels for the same money. This isn't just the slip loss possibly but may include fuel mapping issues by the AT computer that they can't solve. It sucks that this is so...

Thanks for the invitation! I will ask my (way cool 'cause she lets me play with my car on a track) girlfriend if that is OK. Since that is a special day (did I mention my birthday?), it really depends on her plans which I don't want to screw up...

Casper, I would come to the Nissan meet, but that's the weekend b4 the last week of the semester, so of course that means everything is going to be due next week. I'm gonna be doing homework all weekend.

I was thinking the same thing. A couple friends of mine from work went. I could have gone cause they had an extra ticket, but one guy is an extreme parrothead, and he gets really annoying when it comes to Buffet. He gets insanely hyper and excited and he sings very loudly, and horribly. So I decided to pass on that experience.

I am in the secound session at 7:20am on the 3rd. I was thinking it would be cool plus maybe the cars wouldn't be so beat up early on.

It was a pretty good concert, lots' o' MILFs runnin' around... lotsa juggs being exposed, who can argue with that? if it sounds good on my ears, then it works for me. I got soooo freakin' trashed, it was ridiculous...I lost count after about my 15th beer.... man was I wasted...but I held it all in! (barely)... some of the other folks I was with weren't so lucky...

Dallas/Ft Worth DNE Meet 4/26/2003
Greetings Nissan Enthusiasts,

DNE is hosting yet another meet… but this time with a twist.

Here’s the schedule:

April 26, 2003

12:00 PM – Meet at Tigerbull’s restaurant @ Forest and Abrams right off 635

12:30 PM SHARP – Head out to Lake Ray Hubbard – we’ll exit Dalrock, and hang a right, onto the lakeshore. We will start setting up a BBQ, and get things ready; DNE staff will head out to the grocery store to get food to grill . We’ll have balls for you guys, no pun intended….

5:00 PM – We’ll finish up our deal at the lake and head back to Tigerbull’s to grab some dinner, and meet up with whoever couldn’t make it to the lake…

And thanks for the offer to come over, Mantis, but I just got home and now I have to head back to Dallas to play in a soccer game at 3:00. I won't be back up to Collin County until after 6:30. And I am hurting a little from too much booze last night...
