You must be registered before 8:00am, but I don't know what time the registration starts. The actual event starts around 10:30 or so. I've never been, so this is what i've been told.

If you wanna go, let me know. If you want to race, i'll get you in touch with one of our DNE guys that offered to meet anyone that wanted to race. He lives in Arlington too.

Man, I don't know... I don't know that area at all. A buddy of mine that's apart of our Nissan group lives in Arlington and says that the AutoX is like down the street from his house, so I figured it was a neighboring city.

I try to stay in D-Town as much as possible....

Thank you!

Just cause I have some insight into the Ice Box in general, check this out. It's for the RSX.

Click here to download 3D RSX Ice Box

You can stop the animation and rotate the image! Cool shit!

Bedford's not too far from Arlington, I go play hockey there a lot. I'm not gonna race, but I may come out there and watch, I'll see.

Or was it because I've been remissed in posting lately. :P

I bet they come in Tuesday because of Good Friday and Easter Weekend.

Keep us posted, and when you get them, finally, we need to schedule a group event at the Motorplex. Especially before it gets too hot.

Well, here are the only pictures I took at NOPI. Since we (The Drop Zone) were in the show, we couldn't really roam around as much as we would have liked to. Besides, every other car had the same riced out mods

We had 4 in the show:

So, what does everyone think about one last Spring fling down in Ennis?

Won't be too much longer and it'll be Hot.

Right now most Friday's are looking pretty good.

This past Friday was AWESOME!

I started racing around 7pm (I would have started earlier, but I had to run to Walmart and get some cheap wind pants because you can't run in shorts ). I stopped racing 3 or 4 times for about 20 mins and I didn't leave until they closed. My buddy and I were the 3rd to last race of the night. All in all, I got in 9 runs! So needless to say, I was a happy camper. My lowest time was 15.27, but that's only because it was so freakin humid I could feel it. Oh, and the RX7.com car was out there! All I can say to that is OMFG was that car fast! Low 9s. I was in heaven.

Anyways, I'm officialy an Ennis nut, so whenever you guys go, I'M IN!

Hey Casper sounds like you had fun at the track. I am ready to try out my CAI. I had to replace brake pads this week end to make sure I can still stop. Hope everyone had a good Easter.

I will be ready to go when I get my new wheels! Seems like I have been saying the same thing since, oh say, March 1st? Better late than not at all is my new motto...

Did I post my most recent dyno results? I guess not (if I did, sorry for the old news). I need to get the printout scanned (and I will post it for those that want to look).

Here are the basics: max power = 220.5 HP max torque = 182.8 with the gains being +/- 5 HP and +/- 4 TQ across the whole powerband. The power curve was also extended before it started dropping off from 6,700 out to almost 7,000 RPM.

The shop said it was hard to directly compare the results from November to April because of a lot of variables but I was pretty satisfied with the results. I really wasn't expecting big, 8-12 HP gains in the peak numbers (same with torque).

The real test was dropping 2/10ths at the track the first time out with the ice box.

I am also very interested in the Nissan dyno day to compare the two shops' numbers on the same car. Could be very interesting...

Cheers, Inferno

September you say . . . hummm

I might be able to pull that off. Especially since my B-day is in September. It might be just the ticket I need to justify it.

Let me know if we can secure a date without any formal commitiment at this time.

BTW - What was your final costs for this event. Any hidden charges? Car prep, driving gloves, helmet, etc.

Question:

Anyone interested in trying a new oil for their next oil change?

Check this link out and let me know. The resident lubrications guru on the TLS Forum says this has surpased Redline as the best engine lubricant.

http://www.eliteone.com/neo.htm

I'm seriously looking at trying it out. The best way is to get it by the 1gal or 2.5gal containers. It comes out to $7.00 or less, before shipping and tax.

I'm kind of curious, too. How _did_ you know about it? I didn't think my car was that recognizable...much less automagically tracable back to me.

Veddy interesting.

Too bad about the transmission. Total repair bill = $3800. *cough* Now to see if I can't trade it in for something better. ^_^

$275 for the event registration
$100 for two nights at Hotel 6 (you need to go Friday night)
$50 for food (varies by diet)
$50 for gas (3/4 tank per day to drive 80 minutes per day)
$20 to rent a helmet ($300 to buy a really good helmet)
$20 for "race photo" by a pro photographer

$??? to prep your car. This will include about $30 for the inspection, I had new pads and the rotors turned (under warranty--and I used 1/2 my new pad in one weekend), tires need to be in good shape, etc. I did my 22,500 mile tune-up to "prep" the car and had them flush the brake fluid with Super Blue (Redline would work, etc). I think I spent about $200 but I had to anyway.

$50 misc. other stuff: window cleaner, big plastic tote box to put stuff in, folding lawn chair, sun screen, etc.

All told, you are going to drop $600 on the weekend, which is pretty steep.

The good news is that you can spread half before the event and half after the event if you use your credit card to pay for everything.

The bad news is that you want to go back again immediately because it is more fun than you have ever had in your life. Seriously...
