Dyno Weekend!

Well Inferno, I promised and I shall deliver. We have planned to make our next Nissan meet a Dyno Day, but seeing as how we are growing much faster than we excpected we will probably have to have a Dyno Weekend! We put out the word Monday morning about our meet for this month and already we have 22 ppl confirmed. We had 7 ppl respond in less than 3 hrs, so we're hoping for a HUGE meet. Of course you gentlemen are always welcome.

As far as next month, we will most likely host a big Dyno Weekend. The main question I have is do we want to use the same place or do we want to try that place in Lewisville. I will ask you guys first because we have somewhat of experience witht he situation. Let me know.

Thanks guys,
Casper

Here is my 2 cents, if we choose the last place, then our numbers will at least coincide somewhat with our set of last pulls, seeing as how the dynojet is probably still configured like shit. If we pick a new place, we'll have better numbers, but won't really be able to compare with our last set of pulls since its a different dyno jet.

I don't care either way, just count me in.

Word around town is Inferno is paying for everyone!

Cool. Call before 7:00 PM (drivers meeting) on Friday (or after 9:00 but not too late 'cause I need my rest before the big day!). If I don't answer, leave a message and I will call right back. Bring a lawn chair, something to drink (no alcohol allowed on site), and your camera!!! Cheers, Inferno

First, I am in so PLEASE RSVP for me!!!

Second, I can go either way. If you go with the new shop, then I will have a pull done at the first shop to compare runs apples to apples in addition to going to this event. That would give us a benchmark to compare this run to last run and this shop to that shop. Once you work out the math, everyone can calibrate from old to new.

Oh yeah, and I am getting a dyno at Lone Star Performance tomorrow (Friday) at 2:30. I figured we would end up going to the new place b/c of everyone's concerns about the calibration of the original dyno's. They had an opening and I was passing by on my way to Fort Worth anyway...

Has everyone seen the Infinity G35 Sport Coupe? Is that hot, or what? Not to mention the WRX STi and the Evo 8--both all-wheel drive and bad ass fast. And we get the TSX this year? Acura needs to release at TRUE Type R or they will loose market share...

I take it no one is going to the NOPI show this weekend in Enis? I will be there in the Drop Zone tent with my car. They wanted me to have my car there for some reason.

Gentlemen, this weekend was an absolute blast! I started out slow as shit (and thinking I new how to drive a road course 'cause I had driven fast on the road). Lots of good instruction, learning to drive a line and watch corner workers, and one really wild spin out across from right back to left and into the infield, and I actually started driving well. You get to go really, really fast--and you don't know fast until your ride with your instructor. Mine races a ITS Prelude that was passing M3's driven by other instructors. Way bad ass. And I graduated from the novice class to the beginner class (that is when they actually trust you out there to know what you did wrong, be able to correct a bad line while passing, handle it when you get really loose, etc). Damn it was fun. And there are so many outstanding cars--a lot race prepped and trailered in for the weekend. These are serious people! Cheers, Inferno

SOrry I did not get to see any of you at the NOPI show. Hope you all had fun at your events

I don't know if I placed yet. There was a lot of attention around my car I think partially since all the other cars are the same). I havd to leave since it was getting late and I wasn't feeling so good. I guess I will check the sites in a few days to see if their are any results.

You should go for a day anyway because they will let you sit in the classroom (if you wanted to) AND they will let you ride with an instructor in a bad ass race preped car at insane speeds with huge g's. Just a cheap version of a roller coaster...
