Yeah they got here Mon. They don't look that great since they're used, they're already bronzed for my enjoyment. But they're in good shape. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Congratulations! Nothing feels better than when your mod arrives (except getting it installed, of course)! Speaking of, are you still thinking about doing that yourself?

Yeah, I was soooo happy when it arrived... and then I realized I just get to stare at them for a week. I just asked my neighbor about it again yesterday, and he said maybe this weekend. I told him I'm pretty much free all weekend, so he's gonna let me know what time's good for him.

So what you are saying is that we should take his money?

And that since there are 5 of us going and each of us put in $25, that would be $250 and result in a nice party?

Hummm

Anyway, I did some checking and the SC430, with a performance driver it will do 0-60 in 6.1 sec and the 1/4 at 14.6 at 99.5MPH.

Those are pretty good numbers compared to the stock TLS best of 6.3 secs to 60 and the 1/4 in 14.8 at 97.4MPH.

Sounds like a good race. Unless he's not a 1/4 mile kind of driver.

Inferno, when are you wanting to head down to the races Friday night?

I've got 2 buds and perhaps my brother that may want to go.

They want to see me take on that SC430. The pressures on, they are all betting that I'll take him.

As close as these cars are, it'll be a drivers race.

Be sure to let me know when you guys decide to meet up (when/where).

I live in South/Central Dallas fairly close to the Knox/Henderson exit off of 75, so it would be really easy if we met somewhere right off of 35.

Since Mantis is going to miss out on this event, can't believe he's going to miss a showdown with a SC430 ,

but someone is going to have to step up and capture the race on video.

Does anyone have a good camera or something to do that?

I'll have my digital video camera there, and will have a camera guy all lined up for the night. I may bust out the tripod since it was so shaky from way up in the stands last time we did it.

me and 2 guys will be heading down I-35 (from Valley Ranch), so anywhere around downtown and I-35 would work great.

swinging over to the addison / 635-Tollway area would also be close-by.

very nice my friend.....

I am SOOOOO glad I don't have to do headers on my car. The part that connects the to headers is the F-pipe aka Y-pipe, which is all I had to replace. whew.

very nice though... i'm sure you're gonna love it.

Thanks.
Are the exhaust manifolds on you Max already free flowing?? Or is it just that nobody makes headers for the Max?

I'm assuming that they are already free flowing. The few companies that I have ever heard of making headers have only gained 1 hp. Their total numbers were a lot more than 1 but that's because they also replaced the f-pipe where all the restriction is. So we all say that Nissan just made a damn good header but built a crappy f-pipe.

I've not heard from Inferno, he mentioned that we would head down 35, coming from 75.

I have one guy, if he goes, we will need to pick him up downtown Dallas.

So it look well be heading down 75 to Dallas and go from there. Now I just got to figure out when. What time we you all wanting to be there?

I still need to finish putting Danny's headers on my car.

Since we are all coming from different parts of the metro mess why don't we meet on the south side. I know there is a Holiday Inn just south of 635 on the southside at the De Sota exit I think. The hotel is on the weast side of the Hwy.

So guys tell me, if your not racing, how do you hang with those that are? Aren't the ones racing stuck in staging lanes most of the race, or does everyone set up shop in the garage area (aka big ass parking lot), until they call the grouping?

When racing everybody is lined up in the staging areas. Others head to the stands to watch.

We'll have a few that'll do both.

Not sure when the track opens, 7:30 I think.

As for meeting up, definately should be on the southside of Dallas.

Maybe we ought to get everyone' cell numbers. I'll PM mine to the ones I know are going.

And the guy better not back out or he forfeits all honor and glory.

I am definately in. I don't know when I will get off work, but I will check the board before I leave and meet anywhere you guys are meeting. I will be coming down 75 past downtown and taking 35 south. If I can't make the meeting time, I will join you guys there. I have Ruf's cell and I will find you guys no problem. Sorry about missing your call, Ruf. Cheers, Inferno

It's gonna be kinda hard for me to pick a place south of downtown because I know so little of the area. I'll just await details I guess.

What time do you guys typically arrive at the track? 9pm? 10pm?

Yeah.... we should get there around 10 or 11, so meeting around 9 or 10 is perfect. Bluesman had a good idea of a Holiday Inn just south of Dallas.

Here is my cell phone number. Inferno I have yours and the few of my Nissan buddies that are going have my cell number as well.

469-939-4654

I'll be working on a Maxima's suspension most of today, so i'll be back and forth checking the forums. I'll have DuckBlue with me, so i'll get him to check for me.

See yall whenever.

I agree, I was wanting to be there by 7:30ish the latest.

I'm even thinking about getting to Ennis earlier and grabbing some quick grub in Ennis.

Final time depends on one last guy who just getting into town around 5pm.

If he makes it we'll probably leave around that time because the other guy works downtown and it makes no sense for him to drive to Plano just to drive right back.

With traffic this would put us in Ennis around 6-6:30, and by time we eat it will be 7ish.

BTW - I'll be going down 75 and taking 45 to Ennis. 35 is out of the way and takes a little bit longer.

And I have a special surprise instore for the edge in performance.

I just hope I don't end up with too much tire spin.

If I don't, and the temps are cool and dry, then I think a 14.5 or even a 14.49 is possible.

Closes at midnight, huh. I was thinking it was the 2am dealio. That definitely moves things up. Working in Ft Worth and needing to stop home in Valley Ranch, I probably won't be able to head down there till around 7pm, so perhaps I'll just meet up with everyone at the track. Bummer about the time crunch.
