ah.. see I go thru Ft. Worth to 287, how do you normally get there? 360 to 287?

Naa, just take 35 south, exit 403, and go east until you see the track on the left
(about 10 miles or so).

For you, taking 35E S all the way there would probably be the best way. It's about the same distance either way I can go, 287, or 35.

The way is just like mantis said, take 35E S all the way to exit 403. Exit there and I think you stay on the service road for a bit, then take another street (maybe mantis knows its name) west untill you hit 287 right by the track.

Interstate-35 to Ennis from Dallas
Exit #403, which will be Hwy 287, there is a green highway sign that says ‘Texas Motorplex next exit’
Take the service road past the Ford dealership and over the bridge
Take the next right, which is marked Hwy 287 South - Corsicana
We are on 287 South approximately 10 miles from Interstate-35

Chris, if you are going through Ft. Worth to the Woodlands(Houston) you are going way out of the way. Take 35E south to the 45 cut off (big over pass) and go south on 45 to the Woodlands. My sister used to live in Kingwood my niece lives there now. 7AM or 5PM would not be good times to do this...if you know what I mean.

Danny, Bluesman, you guys gonna make it Friday night?

I should get some kinda crown or something for getting the 4000th post, right? Maybe not the crown that the *fastest* CL/TL in DFW gets, but still a crown, right?

Yeah, ive taken that way before, and honestly it was only a bit faster.

With that way you have all of the Lewisville/Dallas traffic. With my way you barely get any Ft. Worth traffic, but you also have to go thru Midlothian, but besides that its about the same I think. I just go my normal way thru Ft. Worth because its habit, i guess. Usually im on the road about noon at the earliest, due to class.

Let's see,

Sounds like half the group is iffy or not going.

I've got a couple of buds that may want to come down and see the fun. So let me know for sure who's going to make it. Otherwise I don't want to drag them along for a weak turn out.

Besides the track, who is in for another dyno day? Hopefully all the folks who got the ice box (especially if we can get the price down) plus maybe some of those Nissan guys? I would like to do this soon. If we can't get a full group together, I would like to go with whomever we can. Copy the list and add your name if you want to go, please!

DYNO:
1. Inferno
2.
3.

I'm in for the track.

Weather.com says there is a 10% chance of rain Friday morning and a 10% chance of rain Friday evening, so I don't think we'll get any precipitation.

Someone sounds a bit ancy to go. As a matter of fact one of our DNE members was asking about a Dyno Day and I mentioned you Inferno wanting to do it as well. How soon do you wanna do this, because if we can get a lot of ppl in on this I'll go ahead and call Lone Star and get the same price as last time.

Here's a link to the thread on the DNE Forum.

BlueBOB, I mean Casper, you are right--I want a dyno and I am a little ancy. I would be very happy to join the Nissan group if that is happening quicker than what we can do (or to combine the two if the numbers work best). I am really interested in seeing what the ice box numbers are like compaired to last November's dyno. I have trouble waiting at Christmas, too! Thanks, Inferno

hahaha, I understand.

The thread on the DNE forum was just a pure coincidence. Only one person has shown interest, so combining the two groups, we have 2 ppl that wanna do this. I posted in that thread and told the guy that if he can get some interest going I'll set it up and same goes for here. I know you've already called and they are ready to go but I think it would be a lot more fun if we had a large group like last time.

Mantis, if you are still thinking about doing this, I would recommend you contact Rick at Motorsport Ranch ASAP. I am paid, have magnetic numbers on the way (they say you need numbers), and am considering if I should rent or buy a helmet (it wouldn't hurt to have a helmet over the long run is my thought). If not, you should at least come out and check it during the event. They said spectators/friends were welcome. Thanks, Inferno

By the way, I tried to send this as a PM but your mailbox is full!!! Must be all those cool pix you take! Cheers.

I totally agree. Half the fun was seeing everyone's cars, BSing about the racing the night before, etc. Also, having a number of makes/models was very cool. We all got to see Jeff's S2000 and that 240, etc. However this works out--either as a group or otherwise--is cool.

I'd be in for the dyno. Hopefully I can get some free time and hit up the motorsport ranch guys. Can you give me that URL again? Its at home somewhere.

As far as the track, if I can get out of my required duties early enough, I'll be in.. err wait... this is a 8-midnight deal isn't it... ouch, I don't know that I can get out that early. Maybe I'll show up, donj't know.

Kewl. Sounds like we've got a decent group going down to Ennis. I *really* wanna see Ruf go against an SC430 on the track, especially if there's some smack going back and forth!

Oh ya! Now we are talking some smack!

Since I'll have the slowest TypeS out there, if he can't beat me, then he won't beat anyone else. :nj:

How about 6 'Gs" ? As in a six pack of Guiness.

Come on Ruf! Bet a keg on it!

We'll throw a big Type-S Party when you win! Those SC430's are way too heavy!!!
