Moto 360 price is most likely going to be $250.

NO! Really?!

I still can't decide between black and stainless steel, and leather and metal, and don't even get me started on the color options.

Might have to hold all of them in my hand to compare side by side.

Everything's not supposed to be available from launch day, right? I'm gonna wait till I see if the reliability of it is any good. I'm still not sure if I'm going to get it right now. That price is real tempting, but lets see. Wont be at launch for sure. Maybe near the holidays?

I'm definitely going for black.
I'm not a "bling" kind of guy, and a black frame will make it easier to ignore the 'black bit' that has the drivers/light sensor.

I'm curious what the Note 4 has - samsung phones have been boring me for the most part. Metal frame is likely and that's nice but it's not going to bring me back. I do like that fingerprint sensor for Lastpass login. I'm not sure what's going to convince me to buy a new phone at this point.

Heh, it's still noticeable, but I don't think it is as huge an issue as people are making it out to be.

It's like saying, you'll notice the chin bezel on this otherwise amazing phone with no top and side bezels

I heard samsungs fingerprint reader isnt that great?

I wonder if Motorola will have someway of getting passed the lockscreen. And I'm hoping whatever it is, my work will allow it. Right now, the only acceptable method is a pin or password. The trusted devices (I think that means when its connected to something via bluetooth it will not have a lock?) functionality is disabled for me

It's not, but swiping my finger two or three times is still significantly better than typing in a long ass password with symbols and mixed case.

Side blurb about smartwatches - the "stay unlocked while it's connected to my watch" option is very nice.

Speedmon, I use the "stay unlocked when connected to trusted device" all the time on the MotoX. I usually have a BT earpiece in while I am working/typing/etc and the phone is always unlocked when the BT is turned on. Same thing in my car.

Wonder why it's disabled for you?

I believe he was referring to his work restricting it.

Our office has similar restrictions if you use your phone to read corporate email.

Yea my work has admin powers since I have my email on it so they disabled the trusted devices. Which is why I think wearing a smartwatch won't leave it unlocked . And now they're making us download this app called Air Watch too.

Well I downloaded the apps I needed too. Air watch and Touchdown and now I can use trusted devices!! Also NFC unlock wasn't there before, but now it is.

These apps better not drain my battery though.... and I hope the email client Touchdown is good.

Anyway, this makes me want a smartwatch even more now

I see, never heard of it before. Its not required for the HTC One or some of the Galaxy/Note phones. For those phones you just need to encrypt the phone and get Air Watch. Curious, whats different about the Moto X that I can't do that method..

Anyway, I was looking at other email clients. Do you guys use all use gmail app? Two good ones, seem to be Mailbox and Cloud Magic. May give those a try, but inevitably I'll probably go back to Gmail because i get quite a few emails under promotion tab and that stays out of my main inbox, with these emails, they'll be in my main inbox.

Yeah, I use Gmail on the phone.

I rarely type out long emails on phone though, more of just a notification checker. The Moto 360 would make that even easier

The new Moto X better come with wireless charging and an extremely improved camera. Most likely going to cross shop it with the iPhone 6 +iTimepiece together.

I use Gmail, have two accounts set up.

I often use the voice-to-text feature for longer emails and just dictate it to the phone. Works pretty well.

Wish there was some way to upgrade the motoX to wireless charging, that would be awesome.

I haven't said anything, but I picked a Samsung Gear 2 Neo a couple weeks ago and really like it! I know it's not Android, but it was cheap (craigslist). I guess Rogers was doing a promotion where if you got a Galaxy S5 or Note 3, they were throwing in a Gear 2 Neo (either free or for $50 or something like that)... so naturally, a lot of people are dumping them on craigslist... but since buying it, it's changed my whole outlook on "wearables"... I thought it was a dumb idea at first, but now... I honestly don't know if I'll ever wear any of my regular watches again (which ranges from Casio G-Shocks to Tag Heuer).

Yea same here. Although I'm looking to buy phones next gen. But the iPhone, LG and Moto will be my top contenders.

It's quite hard to appreciate the usefulness of a smartwatch till you use it for a bit. I started a separate thread regarding smartwatch uses and ideas.

The 360 might be the thing that keeps me from going back to Apple. Not completely sure at this point.

I don't know if I'm going back, but Apple is addressing one of the two reasons I left (size). The other was OS, but that has progressed as well. I still love the functionality that Android has, but I've been monitoring the phone releases and it always seems there's one fatal flaw that discourages me. The camera on my M7 is only tolerable.

I'll most likely wait and see what Google has up it's sleeve at the Fall event. I suppose there's the X+1 as well. Basically, I want a new toy. I won't be going back to Samsung.

LG is supposed to have a good camera. And that is one of my points. I want a good camera on Android that isn't a samsung because unless they change how they do things, I dont want another samsung device. I wouldnt mind LG though. But that G3 might just be a ltl too big for me.

I have to abuse my micro SD card with music because streaming music kills my 5GB throttle limit. iTunes, Android flexibility, even my much longer non-propietary USB cables are some of the many reasons I swore off an iPhone even if 5.5".

Most of that lined up with why I switched in the first place. But since I got the M7, I found that most of that faded into the background. I picked up a iPod Classic for the car, and I found a BT solution for my limited streaming in the car. I only have to do it when I go into work, so I don't eat a lot of data. As much as I love the ubiquitousness of micro-USB, I must say for daily activities I find the Lightning port to be better. The next revision of USB will negate that, though.

I want about 5" , good camera and...well, the rest is negotiable. I have to say, I have no complaints about Android OS at all, aside from the skins.

The LG G2 and G3 have been the two best phone cameras for Android recently.

But if you want the best phone camera, go get the Nokia 1020.

Eww, Windows Phone.

If you have a problem with me keeping an iPod in my car, you should see what I take to work or on vacation.
