One question. Right now I have a Verizon Fascinate with unlimited data plan. If I just upgrade the phone to Prime, would I be able to keep the unlimited data plan? Is there any other fee that comes with 4G LTE?

You're grandfathered in to your plan. No changes, no extra charges.

^ With ATT when I moved from 3G to 4GLTE, I had to get a new dataplan. The strange thing is that a got a 2GB plan for about the same rate as the old 200MB plan.

I think in the grand scheme, all cell companies are pushing us to our ankles and telling us you'll like it as we are bending.

So the Xperia lets you take a blind picture (yes you can aim in the general direction of what you want to shoot, but you have no idea how well composed the picture is). It is a good feature, but it has a major caveat. That's still a win for the Galaxy Nexus in my book.

In case you ever need to, you can even switch back from your 4G plan to your 3G plan and it will stay unlimited.

From what I could see in the vid, the Sony pic looked to be in focus. Its good if you see something that you need to take a picture of *right now*. Even if that pic didnt come out the way you wanted, it still gets into the camera app faster then the GN, so you can retake it.

Huh?

Blurry pic>missed pic opportunity.

We are talking about pic speed here. If you want a clear pic, don't use the fast feature. Just use the camera normally. The camera on the Sony will probably blow the GN's away too.

I'm wondering if the Sony screen blows away the Sammy as well. Would like to know if it's pentile.

That Nexus doesn't seem to be running the latest ICS which is 4.0.3. Google removed the rotation animation when you enter the Camera making it launch quicker as it doesn't have to do the rotation animation. The lag that you see when he switched into it from the lockscreen is nonexistent on my phone. It could also be due to the kernel and ROM combination I'm running.

For the people who want the whole WP7 metro look, the creator of WP7Apps has made their apps free to download at XDA:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1445855

They're moving on to Windows 8 now. More info about the apps and how they look like:

There's an app called iLauncher in the market that comes very close to the iOS launcher. Much closer than the Espier Launcher I posted on here a few months ago. Its as smooth and exactly the same thing iOS. The only thing not correctly implemented is the making of folders which the app creator is working on:

The new ROM (Build 9) from Bigxie just added some more customizations:

I think he's pulling these from the CM9 repository so this is kinda like a sneak peak into CM9. All the customizations are made on the fly as well so its pretty awesome. I was missing the long press volume key to change tracks so I'm glad he added it back. Now waiting for a new Franco kernel. lol. Itchy fingers for flashing things.

So apparently Counter Strike is being "ported" to Android using Unity and the Counter Strike Resources. It also looks like it works online:

More Info:

Changelog (version 6u):
- new interface
- add a lot of functions such as Jump, Scores table, Smooth settings
- some bugs fixes
- add de_dust2 map
- new icons

FAQ
Q: Are there any bots?
A: Yes, but only in 5o version. (map singleplayer)
В: How can I jump?
О: You can't jump on the 5o version, but you can jump in 6u version.
В: Is it possoble to play on ARMv6 devices?
О: Yes, but you would have problems with graphics. (only in 5o version)

Do you guys sometimes have more frequent glitches when using your phone on the charger. And its not every charger, just some. Its weird. My friend and I were talking about this too, he has the same thing. One one charger his phone is fine, on the other (the one that came with the phone) its more glitchy.

the thing is, on the charger i got with my NS its perfectly fine, but if I use my dads Mytouch 4g charger connected to the comp sometimes it wont go into landscape mode while texting or a few other apps. And there's just lag in general. Its not a problem that I see to be fixed since I rarely use that charger, just something i've noticed.

My friend has his GSII skyrocket or w/e ATT version is called and he said with the charger he got his vibrate turns off on key presses, but without the charger or using his bb charger his vibrate works normally on key presses. Just something I found weird.

That happened to me with my OG Droid using my old BlackBerry charger. Sometimes if the amperage is too high or too low compared to the phone's original charger, it can cause issues.

Learning the hard way

And before you load those photos, be sure to select "SD Card" from the storage menu. If not they will be sent to internal memory. You can move them over later, but it takes FOREVER.

as always I have this problem, I think i got stuck on this last time that forced me to try a different way.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So i've had the recovery.img from last time and i type exactly that with the spaces and I get
"error: cannot laod 'recovery.img'

any help?? my phones already unlocked its just flashing clockwork, actually can i just download ROM manager and do it that way. And use the phones regular recovery to flash superuser to allow permissions. I'm gonna try that.

The commands are:

Code:
fastboot flash recovery locationandnameofrecovery.img
You can always just drag and drop the .img file to fill in the location and name if you didn't place the recovery.img inside the same folder as fastboot. So just do "fastboot flash recovery draganddrop.img"

Im running the Kalimochos (sp?) CM9 Alpha 20p1 and Matrix v14.5. There are a few versions of Matrix. The original has the no green screen patch (there is an issue with Voodoo colors where when you mess with the gamma, turning the screen on and off produces that fast green/yellow flash). The problem though is the gamma settings are broken so you can only adjust the RGB multipliers.

The other zips dont have the green screen patch, so you can get the vibrant colors. Right now, Im dealing with the washed out colors from the no green screen kernel only because I dont feel like flashing one of the others.

Using NSTools, Ive got the governor set to lulzactive, min @ 200mhz, max at 1200mhz, Live OC set to 100% (my phone doesnt play nice with ICS and LiveOC for some reason), deep idle on, and lulzactive settings and voltages set to defaults.

In Settings > Developer Settings, I have animations turned off. I recently turned off Force GPU Rendering as well since one of my programs didnt like it, and I cant even tell a difference with it off I took the phone off the charger a bit over 8hrs ago and the battery is only down to 92%. As of right now, I prefer Matrix to Glados, Matrix gives me much better battery life and performance. Im just waiting for Supercurio to fix the color issue, assuming there is a fix for it.

CM9 -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1399035

Matrix-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1361477

NSTools-

Also, the CM9 Music App looks really good, but it wont stream Google Music yet, which I use.
