I don't really want to predict who'll win, just kinda tell you what I see.
-The Heat don't look 100% to me. Lebron's been a beast, but the other big 2 seem either injured or tired.
-OKC looks REALLY athletic, really hungry, and have a really good mix of youth and that championship wisdom in DFish and Perk (both banished Laker/Celtic, who'd of thunk it?).
-OKC went through the previous champs LA, Spurs, and Mavs. I think they are pretty battle tested. The Heat also went through the Cs, but I would have liked to have seen them play Chicago to give me a better look at how they play.
-OKC looks a little deeper.
-Did I mention that Lebron is a beast? I do believe he's been much more humble and taken things more seriously this year. I think it really helps.
I don't doubt the Heat, I just don't think that they are at their best right now due to Bosh having been out and DWade being not as good as usual. Nonetheless, this is the match up I wanted to see. The torch has been passed to Durant and Lebron, can't wait to see how this turns out.

Team Owner
House and Miller are two different type of players. Both can shoot outside but Miller is more known for his defense and rebounding as well. House is more for his handle and frustration. Miller pisses me off too but he's literally fucked up head to toe.

In my opinion OKC is a more complete team than the Heat but the Heat do have 2 of the top 5 players in the league and one top 20 player (Bosh). Lebron says he's more calm, more determined than ever so you can't count out him willing his team to victory. It will be a battle of wills Lebron vs Durant even though they might not go head to head they are the heart and souls of their teams and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

OKC is slightly favored, and rightfully so.. they just have too many weapons and less injuries than Miami.
BUT... if Game 6 LeBron (ugly/angry LeBron) goes "raging demon" in the finals... I don't see anyone on the Thunder that can stop him.
I will say though, this is likely one of the best NBA finals in sometime... should be fast paced and exciting. :cheer:

I expect most games to be close. The speed of the Thunder against the Heat transition offense will be interesting to see...

I don't know Durant as well...but, how's his defensive game?

^ Its under-rated. He's really tall (6'9) and I'm almost certain his wing spawn is longer than his height.
The real weakness in his defense is his size - the dude is built like a toothpick. I don't see how he's gonna body up LeBron in the lanes...

As it goes nowadays, often the primary scorer doesn't guard the best player on the other team so they don't pickup fouls.
So I don't think we'll initially see Durant on Lebron. He did play in college, so I think he's at least versed in team defensive concepts. I'm guessing Sefalosha (sp?) will start out on Lebron.

^ Definitely agree with your guys' points - but does OKC have a lock down defender? In the 4th quarter who would they put on LeBron? Durant? Sef?

Interestingly Westbrook is big enough to throw at Wade too. Sef didn't start out on Parker against the Spurs, but when they switched him over to guard TP, he did a great job.
Going the other way, would Battier get Durant, at least to start off with?
There are a good number of combinations and matchups....hope the coaches are up to it, this'll be a good series. Hope there's a lot of chess moves.

I'm curious to see who Harden would match up against.
In fact, the match-ups overall should be interesting. Not to go against OKC, but they have some rather lean players compared to Miami, so that's got to play some sort of a defensive factor. Even Perkins at 270lbs. & 6'10" is still a "smaller" guy compared to Curry (300lbs) & Dexter (310lbs).

Basketball player vs. uber-athlete is what I see in Durant vs. Lebron.
A guy that would be good at any sport vs. a guy that was probably too skinny or too tall to play any other sport.
Not a knock against either, just an interesting comparison.

Game over. Miami looks terrible in the 2nd half.

failhard.
Media is gonna have a field day with Lebron only making 2 points for the majority of the 4th tomorrow.
On the other hand, Durant fucking lives for the 4th quarter with the game on the line. Holy shit. And Rusty was 2 rebounds away from a massive triple double. Good game tonight, can't wait to see more!

Poorly played 2nd half...but, give the Thunder credit for making the adjustments. The LeHeat are right back in it if they can win the next one at OKC.
If not, well...the LeHeat locker may be getting a little warm.

very poorly played second half. But as u said ^ OKC stayed in the game, focused and poised. And they pulled this win out and had fun doing it! This is the exact thing that scares me about OKC. When u see these guys playing and smiling and enjoying what they do as if they are playing at the neighborhood YMCA. HEAT better check themselves at the door from here on out and show why veterans are veterans.

D-Wade has to do better than 7 for 19 and unless the Heat crash the boards harder (outrebounded 35 to 43), this will be a quick series. Obviously, I expect the Heat to make some adjustments and I fully expect to see Lebron -- a la Celtics-Heat game six -- make an appearance or two (or more).

Probably. And I am by no means a Lebron nor Miami fan but, he can't win it all.

LeBron is going to get his regardless!!! I wish everyone else would also. Not saying any names, DWADE!!!!

True...Being in OKC that is a gimme for OKC...BUT!!! Daym it WADE! wtf When Battier has same amount of pts as your star guard there is a problem. Especially, that was a blast off game for Battier and this is becoming Wades NEW avg! A few pgs back I mentioned without Wade slicing, slashing & scoring approx 22-25pts...HEAT WILL LOSE! ~ It hold the same in this series. Wade can not have 1 awesome game per entire series! And that is what he is avg rt now. 1 in Indy and 1 in Boston... Lets HOPE the one he has here with OKC is in OKC and he doesn't do what suppose to be done without saying at home/Miami. We need a win in OKC! or we can throw in the towel.
