I am not complete sold on Spo yet. He sure did managed all 3 "superstars" well, but he needs win a championship this year to lock his position... other wise, he is gone next year.

For some reason on Twitter I was able to read Bob Ryan's full article in the Boston Globe but it's restricted at work. Fantastic piece.

None of this is going to matter to the LeBron haters, who insist on applying a standard to him that no previous NBA superstar has ever had to live with, and I mean none, starting with Joe Fulks and carrying through Kobe Bryant. Yes, James brought this on himself two years ago, but it's time to let go, because the reality is that having LeBron in our midst is a blessing.

If you don't like LeBron, you don't like basketball. It's about that simple. People need to appreciate greatness when they encounter it.

Damn. You know what last night proved? That LeBron can carry a team to the finals.

Whether he can perform in the final moments... we shall see, but there was no stopping him last night.

agree on NOT being sold on Spo...and disagree for NOT being able to maintain or manage 2.5 stars (lol) on a team. He has had public issues with all 3 one way or another, even down to the recent comment Re: Bosh play time and not being fair, to the past shoulder bump with LeBron... This has been pretty much 2 season confrontation with his immediate players one way or another, big or small. Sure, has it gotten better? Yes, but still is present. IMO opinion, they are all to young and close to peers to one another for the chemistry to work as it has for decades in all walks of sports. There is a more local example of this here in Tampa Bay Fl. ~ Coach Raheem Morris w/Tambay Bay Bucs. He wanted to be the players coach and was to young to manage the young kids.
Back to Spo, What other coach do u know that has been having these sorts of problems with their players? NONE! Its clear across the league Coach is Coach and the players are the players and everyone respects their titles and jobs. ~ Not so much with the HEAT. When coaching to this magnitude of talent and characters you NEED well experienced in depth coach! IMO He has almost been seen more as a motivational spokes person~cheerleader rather then the Coach.

$9 beer!? You can get a water for 9 bucks in Miami. I love how Lebron licks the beer of his lip while thinking...."man, whoever just threw that, no cameras in a back alley...".

And that quote about not loving Lebron then you don't love basketball is spot on. I don't get all the hatred toward the Heat. Everyone hates Miami but everyone wants to be Miami.

Apparently an "argument" happened outside the TD Garden after Game 6, Heat fan stabbed a Celtics fan. Why can't people just chill the fuck out?

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Boston Police are searching for a Miami Heat fan accused of stabbing a Celtics fan after Thursday night's game.

Witnesses say a group of Miami Heat and Celtics fans poured into an alleyway by the TD Garden and one of the Heat fans stabbed a Celtics fan with a switch blade-like knife.

Police arrived on scene and found the 22-year-old man with a stab wound on his right thigh. He was then rushed to the hospital.

"I think it's terrible when it goes over the line. It's great to be a fan of your team and all but violence and all that, that's not what sportsmanship is all about," said Brad Lyon, a Celtics fan.

Witnesses told police that two groups of about six people starting arguing over the outcome of Thursday night's game when the suspect, who was wearing Miami Heat clothing, pulled out a large knife and stabbed the victim.

I find it completely ridiculous to be fighting & killing over sports patronage on opposing fans. The reality is, this has been going on from the test of time, or at least decades! Example being SOCCER: Futbol ~ I know we have all seen it on news and TV the slayings, stabbings, stomping, raids...etc with arch rival soccer fans against one another. Its just now becoming shocking to us since its happening in our own backyard and our beloved more known sports here in the US. (Football/Baseball/Basketball) And I am sure at one point or another the LAW is going to put the smack down for the pettiness that drives these crimes to more of a extent the a regular act or street crime with the same results.

... really? Because someone said "MIAMI SUCKS!" as a example. This does not speak to highly of us as sports fans, even less as Americans or the bigger picture, Human.

* On a side note... "Switchblade" in my opinion or understanding have never been considered a LARGE caliber of knife as one witness later explains a HEAT fan pulled out a LARGE knife... maybe its just me lol

Well considering the Heat aren't in the Finals yet that's totally disrespectful to Boston and that might add fuel to their fire tonight.

Ok... so the new question is, which is MORE fuel to the fire?

BEER on LeBron = HEAT's win

Or...

Premature OKC BEAT THE HEAT t-shirt / disrespecting Boston = BOSTON win

If players aren't internally motivated at this stage in playoffs, then I don't need to see them in the Finals.

All the players are motivated but there's a different level of motivation I was referring to the kind that will take them to the level of Lebron's game 6 performance.

Looks like your king is gonna have to wake up because Rondo, Bass and Allen came to play tonight. Rondo's already got 10 assists and Ray-ray's playing like his regular season 45%-from-3-pt-land self.

Wow !!!
LOL, they did that last year when the Mavs won the championship. The hat said Mavericks NBA Champions '11, but the description said, "The Heat have done it. Top off your celebratory attire with a NewEra Miami Heat 2011 NBA Champions...."
