Wasn't comparing, but I remember the Lister dunk well. The double point while he was getting off the ground was priceless. Not a good thing to be a Warrior when Kemp was on the court.

Love the 80s NBA. Anyone catch the Dream Team documentary?

Thunder are scrubby as fuck. Score was 20-2 with 3:30 left or something like that.

Durant & Westbrook both picking up 2 fouls a piece in the first QTR. OKC has got to be careful playing their defensive too aggressively; Miami will draw the fouls.

Big bank shot, 2 huge free throws, great stop on KD, 2nd straight game over 30 and another new career high. I can't ask for anything more.

We rested the stars and they stayed aggressive the 2nd half. Bosh more involved in the offense as needed. Ton of boards too. Wade played much better. It doesn't get any easier on Sunday.

I dunno how the hell the Thunder pulled off a near victory after playing shitty ball all night. 20-2 in the first quarter, are you kidding me? Then there's Durant playing "foul ALL THE THINGS!" for most of the game, and honestly, he shouldn't even have played half the 4th since he charged on Battier but they called blocking foul on Battier instead. Thunder didn't deserve the win. Hopefully they play above elementary-school-level tomorrow.

I said it before, starting back in Ind. series and I say it again and again...WADE with 22-27pts per game HEAT WIN!!!! Period! I rest my case... Example was last night on point just as I called it here in this thread...The rest follows suite or happens anyways with or without him...Like LeBron!

This has a bad side also. Because the HEAT are known to take it straight top the opponents throat in the first half. But let teams come from behind too easily. With that said, if their lead was not so large, this could have easily been a approx 6pt loss for the HEAT.

Even though they did win. It would not been possible with battier shooting. He has stepped tremendously

Some of you guys might like this. LA fans, you can probably switch out Spo and Lebron/Dwyane for Mike Brown and Kobe; same with del Negro and Chris Paul.

I covered that when I said the rest (PLAYERS) will follow suite or the pieces will fall into place. When opponents make adj to stop the 2 stars from the HEAT from score (usually when its too late...) it opens slashing, paint & perimeter shooting from all the other players. And that my friend, is what you saw every time Battier was on the move and was able to take such shots fluidly. Its because the top zone coverage or man coverage crashed down toward the basket when LeBron/Wade would slash, drive & post. LeBron was the KEY!!! to their success last night! Not settling for outside shots and staying in the paint all night either from driving or posting, which he just added the post to his game this past off season. And it is looking GREAT! making him the complete all around player he is this yr...Completely different from what we are use to or even seen in his past yrs.

Your absolutely right three of the the most clueless coaches in the league!

I feel bad since one of them is coaching my team the Lakers and if they don't change soon Kobe won't see another championship.

With the best coach in the league... lakers are not winning one in quite some time to come. The league now belongs to the younger players and up and coming teams.

Your assuming they will stay the same but I think they will make some moves to get some better younger players but if they don't upgrade coaching then it will be for nothing. If they upgrade both we will be back soon.

my Laker brotha.

Right now, we are redundant with Pau and Bynum. Those are big chips to trade, for which teams and specific players have already expressed interest.

I have every confidence in the team. Let's face it, they've been contenders and they've had the most eras of dominance for any team.

Heck, we almost picked up a primetime player (CP3) AND saved 40 mil in cap space (though I know we disagree on the players exchanged).

The thunder are built pretty well, but you don't get that many championships and finals appearances as the Lakers have by being chumps. They'll have something to say this summer.

Great game! Thunder made an exhilarating comeback, controversial no-call on James block but I give props to the refs for letting the players play at the end of the game. Battier was the missing ingredient in Game 2 eh?

^^enjoyed the game. I thought the no call was good, I almost doubt that that little foul would be called a foul in a pick-up game at the gym I play at.

Crazy thing stat:

The Heat only actually won the first quarter. The Thunder won the last 3.

Interesting! I had split the game into a tale of two halves but according to your stats, the Thunder started turning it on in quarter 2. I felt the game slipping away from the Heat in quarter 3 and then a back and forth duel in quarter 4 with both sides making some sick shots. I wonder how many of them called "glass" on those crazy bank shots haha.

Not for nothing, WADE is one of the BEST bank shooters in the league...and can count them all day.

My count may be off some, doesn't the Lakers rivals ~ BOSTON have 17 CHAMPIONSHIPS leading the entire league? But NO DOUBT 1 or 2, those 2 teams being the very BEST ever in the history of the game. My point was just to say above that the entire league collectively is getting more balanced and in the coming yrs you won't see repeats or possibly Boston and Lakers who have done it so many times, will not be in the finals...Playoffs, maybe depending on the off season moves as you said.

^^No, you're right in championship total, but I wasn't talking about that, my friend. I said 'eras of dominance' or periods of prolonged success. No offense to the Celtics, but they haven't repeated since 1969. That was the last time they dominated. Even in the 80s, the Lakers went 5 to 3 in total championships and 2 to 1 head to head against them. Consider that they have had only 1 championship in the past 22 years, I hardly consider them dominant as they think they are.

The Lakers have had multiple dynasties, multiple eras in which its been basically the league vs. them. The Celtics have plenty of hardware, kicked the Lakers asses for a whole decade, but save for one good run (best run in pretty much all of sports, credit to them), the Lakers have been dominated the landscape. Lest we forget the Lakers had won 5 before the 1 Celtic dynasty and have won 11 since their run.

So considering this, I understand your point. The league has moved on for the time being, is your point. But considering my point, there is 60 years of legacy with which to trust that the Lakers will be back. I can agree that there is some parity and new CBA rules affect the league but having chips to trade and having a $250M coming in (on top of already the most profitable basketball operation) for the next 20 years from Time Warner TV deal, I wouldn't bet against them.

Westbrook did the samething earlier & luckily, they didn't call a foul til' Harden flopped on James at the very next play and then the refs called a defensive foul.

Seemed like a hidden goal in the 2nd half amongst the Thunder to really go for foul calls.

So, some how some way regardless of all the changes and rules...MONEY is going to keep em on top (or at least contenders) at all times because that is what brings in the biggest market revenue for the NBA market collectively? Cashing in on the LAKERS! Versus for example, OKC very low financial market for the organization as a whole. At least that what it seems to me...But I maybe wrong but I doubt it. Especially feeling how there seems to be feelings of conspiracy and fixes across the NBA in situations, such as the trade stop of CP3 to Lakers then the lotto.

^^yes, so you agree with me that the Lakers legacy of success will always bring them to the forefront. So much that they needed league intervention from a league owned team to stop them.

Luckily the league doesn't own every team. And there are always ways to get around rules (otherwise, we'd have the same CBA as before).

Add to that, the Lakers have very tradeable assets. They are redundant at Pau and Bynum. There is plenty of interest out there for both players. They will have the money to work things out as well, if needed.

Seeing that they have 60 years of evidence that they don't take long to rebuild, it won't be a 'long time' before they become relevant again (as you put it initially).
