That's where you're wrong Yummy, after Orpik's shoulder on shoulder hit where all of Boston was up in arms saying it was a hit to the head, we've now been called 2 games in a row for hits to the head, even when both were shoulder checks not direct targets at the head. They're clearly trying to make up for Eriksson getting hurt. Engelland tried to go shoulder on shoulder and caught abs in the jaw. The league has already said Bortuzzo was also using his shoulder as well. D'Amigo was fine and came right back in the game, he did lay on the ice for a minute to buy the penalty, and I had no problem with the penalty call.

Bortuzzo delivered a third-period hit on forward Jerry D'Amigo in which a portion of his right arm hit D'Amigo's head. Bortuzzo will not face any discipline for the hit to the head, which NHL Player Safety deemed was unavoidable in a decision announced after the game.

.....Oh Poo...
On Tim Thomas...

While so far injuries have been a disappointment in Florida, Tim has shown he can play, and he has definite trade value as a backup for a playoff team looking to make a run and in need of playoff experience or assurances. The Kings (e3) and Penguins (e4) are two teams to look for here...no question. I have also heard Columbus (e2) mentioned.
He really does pull this stuff straight out of his @ss!

At full speed it looked dirty but after the replays, thought it was clean as well. On the limit but clean.

I do think we should show some respect for all they've accomplished by using their full name "the shitsburgh pengoons".

Gotta feel for those poor long suffering Leaf fans. Down 3-0 to the lowly Floriduh Panthers at home. Will their suffering ever end?

Seriously...WTFBBQ is with the Leaves' slump? I mean, sure, the Hawks were awful against them on HNIC but if the Leaves can score a TD and conversion on them, they should win with some regularity...?

Scrivvenzzzzz Your tenure in LA is ending soon.....Fratttttin....your tenure probably as well.

Note to the teams of the NHL: Don't trade for Leafs....they stay Leafs when they come to your team.

Kings got screwed on the Bernier deal.

What's the over-under on the Wings ever winning another home game this season?

Scouting report on Mr. Jones has been pretty good...just was buried behind Quick and Bernier in the past.

But, honestly, the Kings are like a goalie factory. Definitely got a nose for drafting (or sighing in Jones' case) them. Maybe you guys keep Scrivs and ransom Jones to the Oilers for one of their prized studs going nowhere.

You think the cheapshot/chippiness is a team culture thing? I mean, is it just me or is every second bad hit attributed to the Pens the last couple of years? And when did Neal become like this? I don't recall him being this type of player (to muay-thai someone) when he was a Star.

He and Marchand have a history, Marchand boarded him head first during the playoffs last year, I think that is the reason he didn't steer clear. He's not a dirty player overall.

Could be the Pens culture.
Not too sure.....but Neal pulled off an epic cheap shot with the knee to the head.

He's a cheap puke like Malkin now.

Need a guy like Dave Tiger Williams around to pound these gutless pukes.

The other way around. Scrivvvvvenzzzs is a gonna be a FA. Kings don't want to over-pay for this services when they have Jones (who appears to be on a whole other level than Scrvvvvenzzzs) on the cheap.

Jones solved the "what to do with impending FA Scrivenzzzz"
Which is why the Kings have been playing Jones over Scrivennzzzs.
They are verifying the Jones is the "real deal"...it appears the case.....and with that, Scrivenzzzzz will be dealt.

Stranger things have happened, but I'd be shocked if the Kings dealt Jones and kept Scrivenzzzzzs. It makes zero sense to do that, especially in the Cap era.

Googled that and saw the video...I'm not siding with Marchand because we ALL know what type of grating player he is (as are all "agitator" types). BUT, the hit he planted on Neal was almost NEXT to the guy...not from behind...at least to me.

Anyhow, just asking. It's just that the Pens have interestingly become the new "Canucks" with this cheapshot/dirty team stigma. With a team with this many stars, I personally don't think it is necessary to have it...you can still have success without resorting to that IMO.

Well, Cansucks used to have Torres...combine that with Edler, Kesler, Bieksa...

...and Burrows loved to bite and pull hair...but, I suppose the latter antics are not "dirty"...just merely "girly".
