After all these years its nice to see Todd Bertuzzi is still the giant douchebag he always was. Is being a giant D-Bag a pre-requisite to play on the Meh Things? They may not be the team they once were but they certainly lead the league in douchebaginess.

Quick, Miller, and Howard to be goalies for Team USA...From TSN:
The U.S. Olympic men's hockey team hasn't been officially announced yet, but they have apparently set their foundation of goalies for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
According to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press, Jimmy Howard of the Detroit Red Wings, Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres and Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings will the team's goaltenders.
St. James also reports that it is expected that Howard will be the third-string goalie in Sochi. The starter is yet to be known.
USA Hockey will announce its entire roster on Wednesday in Ann Arbor, Michigan following the NHL's Winter Classic game.
Miller was the starter for the U.S. at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, leading the U.S. to a silver medal. Quick, who led the Kings to the Stanley Cup in 2011 with a Conn Smythe-winning performance, has been sidelined since November with a groin injury.
Howard is 6-8-7 this season with a .910 save percentage with the Red Wings.

US most definitely has the best goalie trio in the tourney.
What nationality is LA's new superstar goalie? He'll bring hope the Goldz for whatever team he plays for.

Hell of a game going on right now between Canada and the US at the World juniors. 3-1 Canada with about 7 left to play.

You can lol all you want (I'm ) but the reality is he would have gotten more as a UFA. And it's only going to get worse with the Cap at 75 mill within 2 years.

3-2 final. Although I think the Swedes mop up everyone they face in this tourney.

Ummm why? A very similar team was a goal away from gold last time out. And IIRC, 4 years ago someone in this thread, either you or Jup we're hyping the Russian team while I was busy pointing out that the tourney was Canada's or the US's to lose. US team will finish in the top 3.

USA has no scoring. Who's gonna pot the goals, besides Parise, Statsny, Kane, Ryan?
Only thing I see the US having is youth and speed which will help on olympic ice, but I don't have high hopes for USA hockey. Never have, really.
And yea, we have Miller. But Canada has marty and fleury, and Russia has Nabokov.
Maybe in 2014 they will win, because all the 20-somethings will have more experience. There are no game breakers on USA. There are solid players, yea, but we don't have a Crosby or Ovechkin or Kovalchuk that can take over a game.

What I also learned is that in 4 years, this thread hasn't changed much. I was miserable then and miserable now. At least 4 years ago wstevens and Jonsei were still posting in here.

Scott Burnside of ESPN has a great write-up on how Team USA was selected: http://espn.go.com/olympics/hockey/s...pics-was-named
Really worth a read.
