Close game with the Kings and Hawks.

Give the Hawks credit, they squeaked out a win.

...boy did the Hawks look rusty, and Crawford left a ton of wide open nets.

What an amazing weird bounce on the Keith goal....puck just shot up off the ice like an infield hopper to the short stop

Kings were a goal post away with Toffoli. How he missed that...I dunno.

...but hey, if it was that close with the Kings being extremely tired playing less than 48 hours from their game seven, and the Hawks were well rested, and only came out with 20 shots.....on a very tired Kings team.

I think Game 2 is gonna be VERY interesting.

Now that it can be seen in slo-mo.....you have a point.

Charging and direct contact to the head.

...but the refs were clowns for both teams in this game.

I dunno about the East, but the refs in the first two rounds in the West are absolutely horrible. Ticky-Tack B.S. calls galore.

bowroffle.

I love how it has to be Kreider meant to injure, nothing to he was put off balance by pressure from the defender.

The St. Louis Blues have re-signed goalie Brian Elliott to a three-year contract and will not pursue a new deal with Ryan Miller. General manager Doug Armstrong said Monday the team took a calculated risk acquiring Miller from Buffalo, hoping he could lead the franchise to its first Stanley Cup. But the Blues were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=452554

The Blues sent Buffalo goalie Jaroslav Halak, forward Chris Stewart, prospect William Carrier, a 2015 first-round pick and a conditional 2016 third-round pick. The third-rounder would have been a first-round pick this year if the Blues reached the Western Conference finals or re-signed Miller to a new contract before the draft.

Yeah, combined with a lousy 1st game and the loss of Price...the Habs may be done. Still, if the Ducks/Kings series showed anything, it's not quite over until the first team reaches 4 wins in the series.

Still, it looks to be Rangers versus the winner of the Hawks/Kings street-fight.

ok, I'm tired of Frenchies waving the flag of excuses and defeat.

The game was 2-0 even before Price's incident. You can have whoever the f@ck you want as your goalie but to win the game you need to actually score!

This plus everyone said hockey play at the time & no league action against Kreider says hockey play.

While I agree the Habs have to score more than a goal before they have a right to bitch, I think mentally the loss of their goalie has taken them out of the series. They're done for.

Hawks - Rangers final should be easy sweep for Yummy's Cawks.

The Habs' reaction to ousting Boston like they won the Cup.

So, they then played a stinker of Game 1 against the Rangers...Who knows if they actually showed up if Price would've even been injured.

Anyhow, no series is ever over until the 4th win. So, let's see what happens in NY.

qft please see my post above.

Rangers have an amazing ability to blow leads, I was not comfortable until there was under a minute left with the 2 goal lead.

Also they have not been great at home all year.

Please stop jinxing them with posts of conquest.

A bit of history for the equipment geeks:

With Teemu Selanne retiring, the last piece of Jofa equipment used in the NHL "retires" as well.

No Jofa gear since 2004, but Teemu still wore the old Jofa 366 helmet.

Marc Savard was on the radio here last week. Still suffering form concussion symptoms. Sees spots, has trouble bending down and getting up, sleeping issues. Crazy stuff.

Its a ugly game.
