And the Globe & Mail is I believe Toronto 3rd largest paper by subscription yet I'd bet still bigger with more Hockey reporters than any paper in Pittsburgh.

It's true. I agree that Crosby should've spoken out more about this last year when a player was getting his head taken off pretty much every evening in some game...and ESPECIALLY when his own teammate sent Savard into orbit with a cheapshot.

Whatever...keep in mind that Crosby is the unofficial face of the NHL and for Hockey Canada...so, what he says or does not say is taken at more value than perhaps down there for you.

I'll admit I'm guilty of falling in to what was being said on the Radio. That's what my comments were based on and have been based off several times in the past. They usually discuss hot button topics, I figured this was no different and saw no reason to think the story was being exhaggerated.

And when I say he should STFU, I don't mean he shouldn't comment, like I said earlier, he should be saying more about it. Point was, I wish he had more of an opinion back on the Cooke hit or countless other head shots we've seen since. And its not just Crosby, everyone.

If he comes back goes out again and misses the season, or turns into another Lindros I'll bet we'll all be wishing more was said when there was a chance.

I'm one of the first people to criticize Crosby and probably the last person if ever to comment on strong play b/c I'm Way too superstitious.. Any of the guys here will agree with this.


What I hear everyday in Pgh for last 11 days is that the update on Crosby is there isn't an update. That he nor Byslma are talking on the matter and when he's better he's better. Crosby hasn't spoke to the media since Jan 8th, when he initially made those comments when asked about the hit and that's it. Then some writer in Toronto 11 days later writes a story claiming to be a "source" that Crosby isn't going to go to the All Star game because he's mad. When all of this was this writers "opinion." That article sparked all of Toronto and Canada to believe Crosby is talking about head shots and taking a stance etc..

It's totally Crazy to think Crosby hasn't spoke to the media or said a thing since the 8th and yet all this madness ensues.. Total fabrication... The only reason I saw the tweet was b/c I googled the guy and google suggestion put twitter after his name. Just seems crazy.

Perhaps people are just tired of him being attacked by the canadian media every single day. Like making up rumors that he's gonna skip the all star game in "protest" only to completely retract and say it was an opinion. We hear this shit every day, 24/7 coming from canada. Sometimes, it just gets old. Plus all we did was point out that the quotes and shit heard on the radio in toronto was bs, because they have a tendency to make shit up. Also, Dom assumed that crosby never said anything about headshots, and Jonesi and I pointed out that he has spoken before. Plus, like Jonesi pointed out, he answered questions about being hit, and hasn't said shit since, so I guess he did stfu about it and move on
