Yeah, it's alright, I've been here 10 1/2 years, and my friends grew up in the house so I'm definitely familiar with the layout. It's always been a bit small, but I like it.
Nice.. that sectional really fills the space well.
I'm quite upset I missed the caulk discussion.
Btw.. you gonna match the color of the baseboards in the bathroom to the rest of the trim or nah?
I was thinking the same thing...no dogs on the couch.
Meanwhile, my gf's dog owns the fucking couch and she's tiny and annoying AF.
But, I won the bed fight...no dogs on the bed. Except me. Ruff Ruff, Biatch.

Ours is definitely allowed on the bed. Nothing like a big, furry golden retreiver to keep you warm on those cold nights.
Meanwhile, the wife freezes because the dog loves me more.
Yeah, the bed is a different story, big man is 105 lbs and is not allowed to sleep in bed, although sometimes he tries to sneak in in the middle of the night. The older one is 11 and has slept in bed with me ever since my first dog passed away so she was part of the deal when my gf moved in.
that was part of the deal with gf's dog too...but she was sleeping crooked to make accommodations for the stupid mutt to sleep above her head...she'd wake up with a crick in her neck
between that and the dog smelling bad a lot, I convinced her it was time to make her sleep on the floor in her own bed. Plus, the dog seemed genuinely confused about her place in the house...she'd jump up on the dining table and snatch food from the kids sometimes. Uh...I love my dogs but I will not tolerate shit like that.

That's ridiculous. Dogs need a lot of discipline, it's how they are supposed to get by on a day to day basis. Our dog knows better than to even think about jumping up on the counter, let alone steal stuff.
Brother, you are preaching to the choir.
You should see her now...she cowers when I'm around but she always comes up to me to be pet...it's odd but proves my point.
Of course my gf hates it and says she's scared of me. I'm like, yep...but she needed to be...shes the worst behaved dog I've ever encountered.

We have to run a rotation with 4. Two sleep with us and two in the kennels. Honestly if I had my way they would all sleep in their kennels during the work week. My girlfriend though will not allow her 12 year old pug though to sleep anywhere but with us. Not even for one night. She always complains she sleeps like shit. Nights where I need a good sleep I stick all mine in the kennel and it is just the pug with us. I always sleep much better.
LOL...there it is, Jason...
time to establish dominance!
I know she resents me for it but honestly, fuck that...that nasty little rat bitch moving around waking me up throughout the night...not totally wake me up but enough to have fitful sleep being interrupted constantly.
The dog knows too...she hears me coming up the stairs and BAM she jumps down like fuhhhh he gonna toss me off.

I sleep so much better when the dog isn't in the bed. I use him for warmth and then kick him off to go to his kennel (which is in our room anyway) so I can have some space back. He loves to both cuddle hard and spread out and there just isn't that much space for a big dog plus me plus wife in a queen size bed.

She told me if I don't want the dog in the bed then she will take herself and the dog upstairs to sleep. That dog doesn't bother me when I sleep since she is only 20lbs and doesn't take up much space. Mine are the real issue.
We have a king so space isn't too much of a deal with. They mostly sleep by the foot of the bed and none of them move once they are asleep in a ball. I only let my biggest sleep in the bed like once every other week cause he is just takes up too much space cause he doesn't sleep in a ball like the rest of them.
My gf's parents also bought a new fridge as part of a President's Day sale like we did, so they offered us their 10 year old fridge which I jumped on for the basement. We paid the haul away fee for the old kitchen fridge but I jumped at the opportunity to get a full sized beer fridge/freezer combo for the basement. The beer fridge that I had was very small and not cutting it and was more for looks than cooling beer.
I'm still in the middle of rearranging the back end of my man cave to get the bar setup (box on the left) so this was important to get down in there to figure out how much space I'm losing.
Couple small updates, since I went back to a sectional and now have the larger Polk satellite speakers, I didn't want to put holes in the wall and had to come up with a new solution for the rear surround sounds speakers so I picked up a set of speaker stands from Amazon.
I also needed a new end table, because the ones that I had were way too wide and stuck out too far into the walkway, so I picked one of these up online. It was pretty cheap, only 70 bucks, but we're very happy with it, and may add another one on the far end of the couch.
I'm probably going to drop the speaker on this side down, but I wanted to start at the max height and see how I felt about it
And last but not least, it was pretty warm the other day so I pulled out my Ring 2 that I bought myself for Christmas and got it all setup. I tried using the wires for power that were already there, but because I removed the old doorbell and taped off the wires there no longer was a complete circuit so I couldn't use them. So I just taped them off and shoved them back and shoved them back in the vinyl trim, I really didn't want to try and mount to the vinyl anyway, I plan to fill these holes in with insulation or something tan to make them less noticeable.
So I ended up mounting the Ring 2 to the door frame instead, gives a much better view of the porch and steps
So far I'm impressed with it, the 1080P is definitely noticeable and very clear. Just getting it dialed in and fine tuned now.
That speaker stand looks like it was made to fit behind that end table.
If you didn't use the wires do you just have the Ring running off the battery then? I have been on the fence for a Ring doorbell for forever just cause I already have cameras from another brand and don't want a second app to manage cameras. Wish there was a way to intergrate them all. They seem to work really well.

Yeah, the fit is pretty awesome, they both go together very well.

Yeah, just running off the battery. I figure at my next house I can hardwire it. I wanted the option either way, I was between the ring pro and the ring 2 but went with the 2 because it has a better camera plus the hardwire option. I like it because it notifies you whenever there is motion/movement at the front door. I get a lot of packages and want to know when they're delivered and see if anyone comes up on the porch
Mine is 90* to the front door, but has a wide enough field of view to not need the angle mount.
Only complaint I've got is that the front porch is shaded enough that anything outside it washes out really badly in bright sunlight.
