Small update to the man cave, I haven't been using the 80" drop down screen and projector much because of the amount of clutter in the basement with the gf moving in, but I finally have reclaimed the man cave, and since I don't always want to fire up the projector to watch stuff I had an extra 34" LED TV that I never could decide a use for, so I picked up the same TV mount that I have in my bedroom with the 47" and threw this together. Mounted it behind the screen so that if I push the remote for the screen to come down it will go right past it.

Here it is all mounted with the screen down, I left about 6-8" of space between so the screen doesn't get interfered with

That's her TV stand, I got rid of the other shitty one I had for years. I didn't like the way that the TV had to sit all the way at the back and was really low, hence why I used the mount to give me a bit more flexibility.

Here you can see the clearance between the drop down screen and the mounted TV, I could go a bit farther out if I wanted to but I'm happy with it this way

The finished product, I showed her and she didn't seem to realize that I mounted it so kudos for me, she said it looks nice.

I like the final look and now have another option down there other than the giant movie screen. Next up I need to put my bar together

All the pictures he just posted and that is what you comment on.

That is a good idea. Nice to probably not have to always fire up the projector except for games and movies. Should take down that ugly Steelers banner though

It is, it's part of my triple play package from Verizon, I only use it for conference calls when I work from home

I figured it was the best use for a spare LED TV that was just sitting around the last few years, I had wanted to mount it out on the back porch but couldn't find a mount that I liked that would have worked for my situation

I have triple play too but I didn't even bother hooking up the phone. I don't want it ringing in the first place.

Ok that is definitely where you should have put it for sure. Outside TVs are the best.

I've seen GFCI upside down on commercial buildings but on residential, many still stick to the right side up. I've seen it both ways

Yeah, it's dumb. I have no idea why he put it that way, the guy is a bit odd. I'm planning to replace it with one of the LED night light ones that I put in the other bathroom, so it will get flipped at that point. It's just so nice to have 2 fully functioning bathrooms again

Started cleaning and reorganizing the garage so I can eventually get my new truck in there. A lot of miscellaneous stuff got dumped in the garage to make way for the GF's crap to move in, and I'm finally now finding time to get to rearranging and going through stuff.

Yeah, the garage is 95% my shit, but it's EVERYWHERE because I had to move in her giant storage shelves and move mine out. I also had all my fish tank supplies and decorations from the last 2 decades that got thrown into the garage as well that had to be gone through.

Want to come do mine after you're done? I'm stock piling woodworking tools and material for the spring so my garage is an absolute mess. Really need to go through and clean/organize it all as soon as it gets warm out.

I feel like keeping the garage organized is a never ending project. As soon as I get one thing taken care of like two weeks later I feel like it needs upkeep again.

I'd love to get mine done enough to get the truck inside.

It really is, especially my work bench, every time I try and organize my tools, someone comes over and needs help working on their car and next thing you know my tools are freaking everywhere

The ack has a half inch of dust on it, and 4 tires sitting on it's roof right now

The shelving unit that's right in the middle of my parking spot is like this, all my tools are in a giant pile, and all my speakers and shit that I took off my old 4Runner are just chilling all over the shelves...

I had to realize that my garage will never be organized.

As long as I can fit my cars in there, I'm ok. I had to build a shed just for the kids outdoor toys.

^ That may be what I need to do. Between bikes & other outside toys, that takes up almost 1/3 of the garage space where the truck could be. Middle bay is the Flex & the 3rd bay has shelves, 2nd fridge, chest freezer, water softener, toolbox, etc.

At least you have a 3 car garage.

Big man was very sad that we took his bed away

Some assembly required

And voila!

The pups were very happy to have a new couch, honestly I think they sit on them more than we do

They definitely noticed it smelled different, and my older one misjudged the height since it's a bit taller and didn't make her first jumping attempt, but she quickly got the hang of it after that

They sure do.... We actually had to toss the last couch because big man had been clawing out the stuffing after bedding down
