I admit that I have given up some ground, I let her take completely over the spare room and the master bedroom (with some compromises, and only half the closet) and I'm letting her decorate the dining room, but the living room still has tower speakers and a 70" TV, the basement has an 80" projection screen and projector as well as the bar and beer/wine fridges, so she's not taking over man land all that much. She even told me "I'm not touching your office/gun room" to which I replied, damn right you're not

Just a small update, I cleared off my big shelving unit in my garage and got it moved into the laundry room, some will remember a while back when I built the wooden shelves for the basement, this is to supplement that storage, I still have more wood set aside to make another shelf, but this shelving is going to be used to store all my beer making equipment. I pulled an old crappy bookcase out of this area that I had all my car detailing chemicals on. Here's a before

The gf brought 2 large black shelf units when she moved in, so those will be going in the garage, so I was able to re-purpose this big bitch for better use.
there are studies that have shown that road projects that create more lanes ultimately lead to more traffic. I'm convinced the same is true for storage.... especially when women are involved.
