It's obvious that if you were polarized against the theme, you'll never be happy till a FMC. If you were on the fence, and think that some iterations worked (MDX and TSX), then this might be just what you needed to put the TL back on the shopping list.

It's incredible. Lots of manufacturers out there are building upon the great design queues of the 3g EXCEPT for Acura.

So I'm sitting outside eating lunch and just saw the pics.

A hyundai genesis coupe passed by and the rear end reminded me of the MMC TL a bit

I was hoping that during the MMC they would have changed that. I dont mind the wheel hump on the front fender, i didnt mind the rear much (nothing that couldnt have been addressed easily in a MMC). I was hoping that the front would look better to even add it to my wifes list of possible vehicles. Like i said, ill wait to make final judgment once i see some painted. That large hunk of silver/gray just stands out too much.

Great changes. It looks more similar to the TSX up front, which is a good thing. I'll definitely have this back on my list when I plan on getting a new car. I still think Acura has the best bang for the buck in the near luxury segment. At $35-40K it's going to be on the top of my list.

Its better but still ugly, but i think the best part of this revised TL is the new automatic transsmission its a 6 speed! about time.

The redesign front on the 2012 TL is much better than the previous one on the 4g. But hands down the 3g is the best looking car IMO.

It looks so much better. While the overall design is still somewhat controversial (much like the Panamera) I would definitely consider a 6MT SH-AWD Graphite with A-Spec if I was ever in the market.

to Acura for listening.

On a side note, I hate the fact that all cars are getting bigger. The 3G TL/7G Accord size was absolutely perfect and I fear there's no coming back.

so is this 2012 a mid generation tweak? And a 5th gen comes out in 2014? this is better but I don't like the lower half of the front bumper. need more pics to make a judgement on the rest of the 2012 car.

Still gives off that "Buick" vibe. And those damn wheels are WAY over designed. Actually, I like the Buick better!

Just saw the pictures of it in black and I have to say that I like it a lot. It's much much better looking than the previous.

I bet it's gonna be 55k with navi or more up here in Canada

Just stood next to a Panamera Sunday in a parking lot. It didn't look any better in person. People talk about the TL having odd proportions? They should look at that thing. Its a mess. I understand they wanted to have the back seat usuable, but for 90 large I think they could have tried harder in the looks dept. Drives great though (so they say)

When you look at the specs, it is an amazing ride.... but the exterior just blends in with the average car crowd IMO.

I think it is an improvement from the 4G but I was hoping for more... 3G FTW!

the front looks cleaner, but imo the 4g tl is missing that 'wow' factor that i got back in 04 when the 3g came out that made me instantly want to get it...but i waited till the 05 to come out so acura could fix the 04 issues. this upgraded 4g looks better though.

It looks quite a bit better than the old version! I'd get one if they improved the interior a bit!

Not sure if "plain" is the right word... but it still doesn't look right. Better, yes... but still looks off. And I still think the rear makes the car seem too tall. Lines are just wrong on the back. Looks like an 80 yr old man wearing his pants up to his chest. Just seems high and makes the car look off. Did they have a ton of extra 2.2/3.0 CL trunks they needed to design into one of their cars so they could off-load them?

Depressing. I will miss the 04-08 body style. I wish they would bring it back and call it the new TSX.

I love the panamera. Keep seeing this silver turbo one someone in my GF's neighborhood has and it's so sweet.

TSX front is still much clearner and size is much more proportional for mirrors and lights. TL mirrors & head lights are small and stick out to sides.

Look at where the tires are compared to the top of the wheel arches.

Just from looking at that pic I would have guessed I was looking at a new SUV crossover.

LOL, there was ZERO possibility that it wouldn't have some version of the current design. Nothing in the spy pictures hinted at anything BUT a TSXish version of the shield. Not to be rude, but you were only setting yourself up for disappointment.

Getting back in the right direction, lower grill is a bit too busy. I could have bought an '09 when I picked up my TL, but I just couldn't stomach the appearance.

I think the ass end of the RL is the nicest of the Acuras.

I like the shorter front overhang of the TL update, but now it just looks too busy. Acura needs to dump the power plenum and just put in a simple mesh grill with an oversize A caliper like Benz. So-Cal stylists need a wake up call on hotness, they've been looking at too many fake boobies.

And dump those old school halogen DRL's!

If anyone from Acura design school is listening to this post, I'm gonna buy an Audi next if you don't ADVANCE that shit.
