Does anyone know when the production of the 2006s will end and the '07 production will begin? IOW, when will the production line switch over from '06's to '07's?

I belive that June was the last month that the 06s were produced. At least, that's what the internet manager at Vandergriff in Arlington TX told me.

In my opinion, the DRLs are a neat touch, but the new fog lights make the whole front fascia a bit more like the TSX (a little odd actually--looks like the TL's mouth got wider or something). The new steering wheel is a big improvement over the current one though. Can't wait to see the back!

You think? I had an S4 in Nogaro Blue and I loved it.. I will have to see this color up close and personal (with nicer rims on it) to be sure.

Been negotiating with a acura dealer in Maryland. I've been quoted on a Black TL AT with Navi for 31,380 plus TTL. This is a good deal! My only dilemma is that my wife and I do not need another car until December of this year. I am sure that the 2007 prices will not be this low once they are released. What do you think the advantages/disadvantages are of buying or waiting? Either way we are buying a TL.

Mike you do know the 05+ G35 has the same type of keyless entry as well. Replaced the ignition with a knob you still have to tur if the key is near by. Also you can stick the key into it if needed.

I would have to say that might have been the first kind of keyless entry tried by manufactures. Then they went to the push buttons later.

Congrats on the purchase. I didn't see the post about you purchasing the TL finally.

That new blue just ain't gonna cut it and I wouldn't be surprised if doesn't get produced.

I would be surprised however if Acura didn't offer the Copper Bronze Pearl available in Canada. I envision the TL Type-S in that color with the cleared taillights and turn signal mirrors.

Above all, I'd like to see a CVT transmisssion like the new Maxima.

Its because of the headlights, blacked out, less amber, circle day time running lights. i would like it better if it wasn't black out it would be almost identical to the a-spec concept TL



if the G is bigger in interior room than the last gen. that would win me over the TL type-S however I want my next car to be a coupe so i will wait and see if there will be a TL coupe in 08'/09'

Well, if history is any indicator, my '04 TL was delivered to me on Sept 23, 2004, and manufactured the previous week. The '05s came into the dealership about a week later. So late Sept. would be a good guess for the '07s.

Speaking of the '07s, I think the front end is a lot more functional than previous models: the addition of DRLs and relocation of the fog lights to the lower valence for better light dispersion. However, the fog light location makes them far more vulnerable to road debris damage. I would hope that they would have thick plastic lenses. From an aesthetic perspective, I really don't see that much change from current models.

I think if Acura does decide to manufacturer a coupe based on the Acura TL again, it'll be a 2010 MY. The next generation Acura TL will come in the fall of 2008 as a 2009 MY and the coupe variant will come in the spring of 2009 as an early 2010 MY. Makes sense to me. Oh yeah, release official specifications, features, options, and photos of the 2007 Acura TL already Acura!

if this is the exact car acura is going to be producing for 2007, it is truly a disapointment & it looks like acura is moving a step down from what they had.

the thing is mainly, the front of the car is too busy & u have no clue what the heck to look @. between the new fogs & mirror turn signals, the new tl is gonna look like a frikken cristmas tree on wheels. (i'd hate to see what they did to the back)

the only things i do like is that they added the more powerful type-s, the new MID buttons, possibly a new key, & the updated navi (if they even put it in there, idk)

the point is, acura took a prize winning car, & butchered it, so it looks like its been through some experiment that ended up horribly wrong. (maybe it'll be called the TLX)

i expected a car that i would be drooling to get, instead im grateful that i have my 05 sitting in the driveway . hey, but who really knows if this is going to be the 07 tl. the only thing to do is wait to see it in person.

Well I noticed that nobody really mentioned this so I guess Ill go ahead and do it:

-The leather trim in the door panels has been updated with 3-4 vertical line seperations...currently it is all one piece.


Thats all ic an see so far...I wonder if the leather will be updated, and if the sound system will have any upgrades...

Acura once again has let us all down... 286hp and you call that the Type S. When compared to the competition who almost start round 300hp this isnt good. You even get the same steering wheel as the Honda Fit....Hopefully the specs will help bring light to this...

I prefer the current leather trim in the door panels which are perforated than the updated 3-4 vertical line seperations because that reminds me of the Accord and the 99-03 Acura TL-P door panels. Acura perforated the leather door panels for the '03 Type-S so this seems like a step back from what their sporty intentions were.

Not a lot of changes. For me, not worth to switch. Although, some of the changes temps me to switch to an 07 type s. I like the steering wheel and mesh grille. Major turn offs are the wheels and the front kinda seems to like a tsx with the drl and fogs on the lower grille. Good job invincible569.

I hope Acura officially announces the 2007 Acura TL / Type-S tomorrow. Acura could lose a lot of potential 2007 Acura TL consumers to the competition if they don’t release information soon.

My SSM '04 has less than 10k miles and looks like an '06 so I'll wait another two years and get an all-new Fourth Generation TL.

my thoughts after reading and looking at all the low qual pics...

1) The picture angle is really bad...the current TL looks good and I think the additions will also look good... but the color, picture angle, and quality of pictures make it look like crap.

2) Rims suck. Honda continues to pick shitty rims for their Acura sedans...it's not even like they design them or anything...they probably pick it from an vendor OEM catalog. The current STOCK rims look decent, even the previous generation type-s rims look nice. But the recent rim selections just suck.

3) It's about time they integrated the key and keyfob...didn't the accord have this like 4 years ago?

4) as for keyless entry/start (kinda OT), it's probably more difficult/costly to integrate. As for a knob instead of a pushbutton, the current G and FX have the knob 'cuz it's still current generations that used to have a key on the column...it would cost too much to re-engineer to integrate a pushbutton and not worth it for a minor update, but next gen. Infinitis will have pushbutton like the M.

And it's actually really useful...if you think it's just a "gimmick", so are speed sensitive wipers, sport-shift w/ auto blipping, 5.1 stereo, cooled seats, and a handful of other features that differentiate more modern premium cars from older non-premium cars.

Tell me about it. My dad keeps pressuring me to put a deposit down on a 2007 Infiniti G35, but I want to hold off until Acura officially releases some information / photos. Maybe I should jump to Lexus like my older brother ( 2006 GS 300 AWD ) and my mom ( she's thinking of switching from her 2004 BMW X5 to a 2007 Lexus LS 460L ).

Amen. I predicted minor modifications, but I thought it would be more than that. Not ever different headlights.

Hopefully the new Nav system is 10x better.

okay first of all, kudos to all of you who have posted this info on 07TL that ive been researching religiously since since.......okay i can't remember......anyway, i must say im somewhat disappointed with the new Type S.....i thought they would receive some kind of face lift up like the 2nd gen, keyless ignition, rear view camera and ventilated seats.......none of this features equal to me keeping my 05 and maybe looking into G35 sedan or G35 coupe next year

The headlights are different... look again. They have ugly daytime running lights in them now where our current "fog lights" are.

Once again, i just want the clear taillights and they can keep everything else. Are there any pics yet of the rear? and i guess the only way to know if clear tails fit is if someone tries it. Anyone suggest a place that may be able to get replacement parts faster then the dealer? or when the dealer will get them?

did anybody notice that they seem to have blinkers on both the side mirrors and the fender? it seems like they haven't deleted the fender blinker even though they added the side mirror blinkers. it will look extremely ugly if both of them are included in the 07 models and both light up

currently, in the 04-06 stock models the sidemarker on the fender (right above the front wheel) does not blink. Not sure how it will be on the 07.
