I don't think that the fog lights are the problem. I'd rather think that it's the air trap (or some kind of black plastic) beside it (on the outside) that make it look so weird...

But I wished that it would looks more like the Euro-R. My hope are gone...

All the changes that Acura has made to the new TSX appear to be very positive and and with only a few hundred bucks price increase, it is expected to sell very well.
Since most of the dealers and average people doesn't really know what will happen on MY06, how can they assume that it will be a huge success over the MY05?

But the way, do you think that the new guages will have the same kind of white/purple lightning like the RL or the new Civic?

Huh? Funny how opinions can differ. I would have worded that sentence this way: I think it's a slight improvement over 2005, the car looks more sporty and "smooth". I never really liked how square-looking the bottom of the TSX front was.

I think the grille and the chrome trim is identical to 2004/2005.
The lights are most likely identical, I think if they had changed them they would have really changed them like on the latest RSX refresh. If they changed the rear lights to make them LEDs that makes it even less likely that they put money towards changing the front.
Uhm, go buy an issue of Road and Track and them come back and tell me that's there's no chrome on the hood, that picture I scanned sucks.

I'm so glad I was impatient and with the 05. It looks like a mating of the TSX with the old TL. It looks a little too sedate for my taste. Also, from that angle, I'm very worried about the rear of the car. It looks like they messed with the general curvature of the car, which as it stands I'm very satisfied with.
Just need 05 Hondata and I'll have the best version TSX in my eyes

I'd say this new look is a typical model refresh by Acura. I'm glad the changes are so minor my '05 won't look outdated.

I highly doubt the rear lights will be LED simply because it's not even mentioned in the list of changes. (Usually, these sorts of list are so hyped to create anticipation that there's no way they would have not mentioned LED if it was indeed part of the changes.)

I wonder if there'll be a new OEM bodykit 'cuz the current one will not fit this new model.

Isn't this a 2006??? I see 7 spokes on the rims and it says "2006." The car is in red and you can clearly see the grille is chrome. Also you can kinda see the back end has very little change that I can tell..it looks very, very similar to me, but maybe that's cuz I don't own one yet!
(it seemed to do well in the crash test, too! )

No, that's definitely NOT the same model year as the one pictured in R&T. It looks like an '04-'05 to me.

Why would they throw 7 spoke rims on an 04/05? It also looks like it had the "side skirt" thing on it. Plus..it says "2006" at the top. Maybe R&T has a concept pic or the angle is weird???

I compared with the '05 brochure that I have and there's a picture with the same angle. Nothing changed in the trunk line...

Here is my feedback on the situation:

1. The engine enhancements are minor, but should make a difference on the road.

2. The new stock rims stink, but lets all remember, you get a choice of rims from Acura,(ok, you can pay more and get them) and on the 2005 model their are some gun metal grey rims you can purchase that are very nice. Let's hope they still offer those, or some other nice selections.

3. They have made the car more angular on the front, side, and rear. They did this to the 2005 RSX Acura, it almost looks like it comes with a body kit. Yet, you can still purchase a kit for the 2005 RSX and it is a much more visable kit then the 2004 RSX kits. Very aggressive kit actually if you have seen it. That said, I think it is very likely that Acura will still offer a body kit for the TSX, it will just stand out even more then the current kit does and give the car a great and truly aggressive look. We also need to see what spoiler options they will provide.

4. I think we need to see the 2006 TSX with a complete under body spoiler kit on it and rear wing spolier, with some different rims to truly judge it. I'll be waiting for those pics.
Once the car is up on Acura web site, we will be able to build the car on line and view the looks of he body kit, if one exists. My guess is the 2006 TSX will be on their website in the start of October.

5. 0-60 stats on the new TSX have not been tested, any estimates? Will it be improved or does the 2006 weigh more then the 2005 model, hence, negating the engine improvements?

Thank You,

JJ in Chicago

The front end is

I'm glad they didn't touch the back. I will still stick with my opinion that teh fog lights are stupid! I don't understand why they would leave those fake plastic vents there... And I don't like the thickened piece of chrome in the grille.

Now that we have some decent pictures, the comments seem to become more positive. At least people start feeling the new changes a little bit. Everything takes time to observe and appreciate.

I'm not saying the 04-05 TSX is ugly or anything. It's just that people usually jump to conclusion so quickly the first time they see something new or different.

I love the current TSX, honestly. Very clean. However, with all the new features that are now standard with the 2006 model, it will be very hard for anyone to turn around and purchase the 2005 model. I mean: fog lights, memory seats, auxiliary audio jack, etc. These things used to be unavailable or cost extra in previous models.

Changes???

I only notice the front end and fog lights and rims being different.
small change to the grill. WHere are the other body changes? It doesn't look like anything is different on the sides? on the hood? or on the rear? or am I missing something. lets hope they offer some better tims to purchase, the stock rims are pretty weak.

probably not...you're looking at a Euro Accord.

From those pics, looks like they've removed the metal trim on the hood and integrated it to the grill. I'm still not feeling the new front end

The side sills are a bit more extended and the rear taillights are supposed to be LED (hard to tell in the pic). Besides, this is intended to be an update, not a redesign.

I like it, I LIKE IT!!!

Here's hoping the '06 TSX will look like this Accord. Same for the interior trim changes, that brushed metal looks a lot better than the somewhat yellow-ish tint of the 04-05. Similar to the brushed metal in the US Accord actually.

Rims are OK, not fugly, but not particularly interesting either. Grill looks a lot nicer!

3. I think the reason why it looks like it stands taller is because the middle part of the front bumper is moved up to make the sides looks as if there are flares... (think TL), also because of the new rear bumper, which at the bottom goes inward and flares out a bit.

4. Also notice the all chrome door handles like those found on the Euro-R

5. Steering wheel with the round thing in the middle which looks very familiar...

I dunno, the front looks less bland.... but the car looks more pedestrian now maybe it's the wheels and the color of the car

I'll bet my first born that all the changes we see in those pics (excluding the "H" on the steering wheel and Interior trim) and including those god awful rims get carried over to the TSX. The cars are manufactured side by side.

No, it is not Euro-R. It is only a regular JDM Accord. I hope Euro-R won't get this ugly grill...

Hopefully the integrated fog lights will look similar to the old or new TL/CL.

And the grille and rims look less appealing than the current models.
