Is that a fact that Acura's reach the States first? I know that at least one Toyota model and I believe one Mercedes model came to Canada first. I was hoping that they might arrive at the same time.

"Auxiliary jack in center console for digital music players"

can anyone clarify if that means the jack is going to be located in one of the two compartments under the navi/stereo, like where the "not an ashtray" is?

lexus put the aux jack in the new IS inside the arm rest... i really hope acura didn't do something stupid like that.

It's in the armrest right above the second power outlet.

Did anyone check Honda Japan site? They have the new redesigned Honda accord and, if I am not mistaken, a 4wd Honda accord does exist. Also, the choices in rims is just amazing.

Nothing has changed, this is the same Accord we've seen since its debut back in October 2002.

And yes 4WD Accord does exist, just like other Honda models like Civic and Oddessy...(And this is a JDM thing, even Corolla has 4WD as option in Japan.)

I won't be back in the store till monday. Not much to se really, just a little grey flap that covers a mini-phono plug. It's angled 45 deg upward kind of like the cigarette plug adaptor below it.

is it possible to close the armrest with an ipod connected to the aux (with the ipod outside of the armrest, of course)?

You could put the iPod in the top tray of the armrest, or pull the cord forward with the lid closed. The cars have this provision because many people charge their cell phones in the center and use the front power plug for radar detectors. There is a little "notch" to let the cord through.

does the ipod integration come w/ any docking equipment? or do you have to buy your own cable?

There two things going on here: 1) A simple "aux in" via mini-phono plug in the center console. 2) Its not available yet, but there will be an accessory sold through parts that allows an iPod (only) to interface with the 2006 radios.

Will a body kit be available on the 2006 TSX?
Does anyone know if the rim option will be the same as the 2005 TSX, or different?

Whats a reasonable price to negotiate on the 2006 tsx. How much over invoice? Does $700 seem reasonable?

It is now on web site

check it out, up on acura.com, looks like price only went up slightly.
my questions is, invoice should be about 25,000 for the automatic no option added, but msrp is 28,000. Will you only be able to get this car at msrp since it is brand new and if you are looking to buy in Dec 2005? Thanks.

Grrr, I'm disappointed. It seems Canadians don't get the Quartz interior! I so wanted the Quartz interior.
We're also not likely getting the Glacier Blue Metallic.

I was down at our dealer this afternoon for a test drive. No, no brochures yet. I was told that the official Canadian release date was originally mid-Dec (12 or 15, don't remember exactly), but the cars just showed up.
The CSX launch party was this past Wednesday, and they only got the brochures that day.

Even their employee iDrive info site didn't have the 06 TSX info yet.

Has anyone seen the 2006 TSX in person, what are your thoughts on the looks? can you tell it apart from the 2005, or only if a very trained eye?

Yeah, I saw it today actually. Stopped by Ed Martin here in Indy, and they had one (only one) in stock on the lot. It was a Glacier Blue/Quartz/No Nav. As soon as I saw it, I instantly knew it was an 06 because of the wheels and the color. It was awesome to see in person, but overall does look very similar to the 04/05. The buddy I was with couldn't tell the difference. I of course pointed out the new wheels, grill, fogs, bumper, bluetooth, etc. Didn't get to test drive it (was in a hurry), but it does look nice. Can't wait to get mine.

Yes, a couple have theirs already. Several have driven them (w00t, I have!). Going back in on Tuesday so I can drive the 6mt. The one 6mt was prepped, but they hadn't done the PDI yet!
I did drive an auto though. Very nice drive! One thing I didn't like... I was rolling at about 5kph and hit the gas (part throttle) so I could change lanes and pass a turning vehicle. It lagged for about a second before going. I was in D, not SportShift mode. Never happened while in SportShift. That's why I drive a stick... if I lag because I'm not in a good gear, that's my own fault.

Looks, I like! The new integrated fogs complete the front-end and I like the new one-piece grill better than the 05. Rims are decent, but I'd take the 05 A-Spec rims in a heartbeat. I'd also take the 17" CSX rims if they're the same as the stock 16" CSX split 5-spokes. No picture yet, so don't know.
I'd say it's easy to tell the difference between 05 and 06 if you know what to look for. Quick glance though, I'd say it's easy to mistake.

Ya, the fanatics that hang around this forum would know right away whether it's an 06 an earlier model but when I picked mine up it was parked next to an 05 at the dealership and all the sales staff where outside comparing cars and some of them couldn't find the differences, I had to point them out. The changes really aren't that noticeable unless you really look, 99% of the poeple walking down the street would never know. I find most of the changes subtle and look better in person than in pictures. My opinion anyway.

I can tell you exactly why that happemed. The auto tries to get into the highest gear possible as quickly as possible. The car was probably in 3rd and when you hit the throttle, it needed to go two gears down to 1st. Our tranny won't skip gears so it needs to hit 2nd briefly then down to 1st.

Of course the inexperienced will confuse this with DBW throttle lag.....

If you read the ending of my post: "if I lag because I'm not in a good gear, that's my own fault."
When I said 'lag', I didn't mean DBW lag. I didn't once say anything about DBW. As my statement above says, I was commenting on the gearing choice and why I like rowing my own gears. This is a common thing on the autos I've driven.
I didn't know it wouldn't skip gears though.

Whoa easy there swirlie. I realize now that my post might have been misconstrued as saying that YOU thought is was throttle lag. I was explaining how the tranny works for others who might not know the diference. My apologies, but you really should calm down....

I was calm. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear in my message. It's pretty easy to mistake the tone of plain text.

I just wanted to make clear that I'm not a complete n00b when it comes to cars... just mostly.

We parked our black '06 next to a black '05 today. The rear is almost identical. The '06 skirt is a little lower and the reverse lights are slightly smoked. The front is an obvious change.

Overall the '06 looks better to us, but we like the '05 wheels a little better. Thought we would hate the '06 wheels, but in person they are still attractive, just more spokes than I prefer.

05 and 06 Rims

I think the stock rims on 05 and 06 model both are average.
on the 06 I plan to upgrade the rims, it makes a huge difference, go to acura.com,build the car, and check out these rims:

17" "Silver Star" Aluminum Alloy Wheels $1,000.00

I think the body kit looks a little more aggressive on the front on the 06, looks wise, they are very similiar, but all the added features on the 06, it is not question I'll be going with the 06. That is all I plan to add, complete under body spoiler kit all the way around and the 17 inch silver star rims, add a slight tint to the windows, and I'll be set.
