I wonder if they will have the "all-in-one" key like the Accord for '06. Anyone know? Seems like it should since the car is so advance in many ways.

Good Question.. I drive a 03 Accord Coupe right now, and I love the integrated keyfob and often wonder why Acura (TSX/TL) still features the "old" key fob.

One thing that I ponder, would it be possible to add the new Multi Function Display/Hands Free link and the new navigation CPU to an 04-05 TSX?

I was contemplating a used TSX w/ navi but these new features are hard to resist. So if I could get a used TSX, update the nav and add handsfree link, it may just end up being a win-win situation. Let me know what you think...
Yes it can be done, but it will cost a lot of money to make all those changes and will not be easy easy to do at all.

All the parts and install would really be a pain, almost worth is to just trade in if the features mean that much to you

You all are killing me! I don't see Toyota anywhere..I think these changes just make me like it even more. My only deciding factor is when the price of the IS250 comes out. I personally think the 04-05 looks somewhat plain compared to the 06, but that's just my opinion!

04-05 doesn't look plain at all:

Gotta love the cleaner, more aggressive look.

I like the new interior toys, but exterior changes are .

Do the new foglights look whiter than the old ones? I've never seen the old ones in person before, but from pictures they look yellow, which was why I didn't want to order them...I was afraid they might make the hids look ugly when lited. The new ones seem more brighter and whiter to match the hids. IS IT JUST ME????

Somebody wanna post pics for comparison?

You can always change the bulbs to match the HID color.

i'd doubt it. my take - acura may just keep the existing key setup then move to the keyless entry system a la RL on the next gen TL/TSX.

i think it looks good... similar changes being made to the accord euro - except the accords grill gets ugly and has changed in style a lot more.

the rear bumper looks subtly different - kind of like they've molded an OEM rear under spoiler on without any gaps...

Any pics of the 2006 TSX in the new Acura Body kit, or spoiler?
Any pics of the new rim options to purchase?
Thank you.

Most likely not as it has always been with Honda products. But rest assured that there will be a DIY for this mode

White or Alabaster Silver?

I wonder if the color of the 2006 TSX in those pics is White or the new Alabaster Silver? Can't really tell on my monitor. It looks like it could be the Alabaster Silver to me. I was hoping it would be darker.

It'd deffinitely silver. You must have a really bad monitor.

I know, my bad. That's why my thread was closed down and merged into this thread. I actually own a TL-S but venture into the TSX realm once in a while when the TL forums are slow and boring. Hence, I am not up to date as most people are on the TSX side of things

color

is it safe to assume they will still carry that dark grey color??
Not that satin silver, but the dark grey, I think that color looks the best on the 2005 TSX...need to see it on the 2006.

Not too fond of the new design, I still like my 2005 exterior but the handsfree would be nice as well as the memory seats.....

Has anyone done an "apples to apples" comparison of the increase in hp/torque? I'm getting a little confused about the revised rating system.

So the 05 TSX has 200 HP using the old rating system.
The 06 has 205 HP using the new rating system.

Has anyone broken down and old rating system v. old rating system or new rating system v. new rating system comparison? (Same for torque)

as far as I know, there no way to know what the HP rating for the 06 TSX would be under the old rating system, and vice versa, if that's what you're asking. I think the new rating system totally depends on the car, because from 05 to 06, the RSX-S went from 210 to 201, the TL went from 270 to 258, and the RL went from 300 to 290. The TSX is the only car in the lineup that got an HP boost, so it's hard to say what the HP rating under the old scale would be, but if I had to guess, I'd say around 215~220ish.

IMHO there probably won't be an apples to apples comparison until someone goes out, buys one, and puts it on a dyno.

The pics of the 06 TSX are a seem a little sharper from the vtec site shown on an earlier post and I am really starting to like the look of the 06. When I first saw the changes I liked them, but it looked different, they are now looking very familiar and I do like the look. I also like the Alabaster Silver Metallic colour assuming that is what it is.

Excited

Arrow auto 0-60 time

With the improvements on the engine, can anyone take a guess at the new 0-60 time for the auto?

Using those figures (TL, RL, and RSX), the average change in stated HP with the new ratings is about 4% (-4.4%, -3.3%, and -4.3% respectively). So if the 04/05 TSX was rated with the new HP scale, it'd read about 192 SAE HP. Using the OLD scale, the '06 TSX would be at 213.5 HP.

So, expect an increase of "about" 12-15 HP between the '04/'05, and the '06 TSX.

That is assuming the SAE-NET HP ratings give some sort of linear reduction in numbers, which I think it's fairly safe to assume.

I agree with a number of 210-215 on the old scale, so not much change. I doubt we'll even notice much of a difference.

I think 12-15 HP difference is quite a bit, particularly for a model "refresh".

Yeah it's a decent gain. The Gen 2 and Gen 2.5 (90-91, and 92-93) Integra's were different by about 10 HP (130 vs. 140) just by changing the IM and intake setup and very lightly modifying the cams.

It'll be noticeable, but the question arises: What mods will be compatible? ie: Will a 2004 w/ Hondata and CAI and heatshield gasket, etc... be as powerful as a 2006 w/ no mods (assuming none fit but we know that won't be the case).

Also, will the 2005 or 2006 ever get Hondata? Who knows!
