ohh if you see a yellow add to cart button. When you click on it. Bestbuy puts you in a queue and tells you to "please wait".
When its your turn to try and buy, the "please wait" button will turn back to add to cart.
If it's still available then it will add to cart and let you check out. (DO NOT refresh the page while waiting, that will put you back to the end of the line or just show you its OOS)
There is an additional purchasing step where bestbuy will send you verification code to your email or phone in which you will need to enter that in so you can finish your purchase.
Oh and I got scared for a minute with the card. Didn’t know it has a zero RPM mode, so when the hardware monitor kept saying it was at 0RPM, I thought I got a busted card. That is until I used MSI afterburner to turn on the fans.
also annoying is that it uses a 6pin + 8pin cable. Have to redo all my cable management.
also the 3070 is smaller than the 3060. It’s skinner too.
Nice! I got the notification and was trying to order a 3070 for my friend who's been trying to get one for a month or two. Got the dreaded "not available for pickup" at the 5 stores I tried setting it to.
Got a new desk and that gave me the perfect excuse to build a new PC, I don't game so I just needed something basic but figured I'd get good components so I don't have to upgrade for a while. None of my mid or full towers would fit in the desk enclosure, so I ended up going with a micro ATX tower.
I loaded it up with some more fans
Getting everything organized
And decided to spring for the Ryzen 9 3900X
Everything all installed.
And here's my home office setup, just upgraded from 23" Acer monitors to 2 x 27" Asus LED monitors
And here's what the system consists of, this was a budget build, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
Thermaltake Versa H15 Micro ATX Mini Tower
ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen Micro ATX Gaming Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler
32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (4x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz
ASUS ROG Strix 850W Gold PSU Power Supply
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4GB GDDR5 128 Bit PCI-E Graphic Card
Dual Raided Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe Internal SSD
Helping out a friend since I appear to be lucky on obtaining parts.
He said he's been trying to finish his build for 7 months
he just needs a graphics card now.
Some talk floating around saying that Bestbuy is going to release the 3080tie instore only. as in you'll have to camp out at an actual store. Like Microcenter
