Wait are you using the boot camp app on macOS to make the usb drive? That’ll probably be an issue because Apple doesn’t do it the normal way it slipstreams Apple driver files into the windows install process, I think there’s a custom config/xml file that they add to the install usb drive
Older builds of 10 will fit on a single layer dvd, I got a few of those ISOs lying around that are under 4GB. I think only the newest builds won't fit on a single layer, they tried for years to keep it under that limit but they probably see now that only a very small percentage of users use DVD as install media
Tidied up the birds nest of cables coming out of the PSU so they aren't pressing against the GPU.
There is still some sag on the GPU, I'd have to use the shim method from that youtube video, but it's so minor I think i'll leave it as is.
The ASUS TUF 3060 OC is just a thicc boi card.
Card and case manufacturers should really talk together and develop a universal bracket system kind of like how it was/is on the Mac Pro
I might at a later time add a rear case fan. Currently have the cooler fan pulling in air. I read around for this particular case its better in this config since it will pull in fresh air from the rear and not warm air from the GPU. The top fans are set to exhaust.
We shall see.
seems like the consensus on reviews is to go with the cheaper 3060ti or spend the extra $20 (if you can get it at MSRP) for the 3070
Especially if you do alot of productivity stuff.
But you should still buy it because it's a GPU.
lmao at all these comments im reading saying that Newegg is scalping now. People don't seem to understand that board partners can set whatever price they want.
If you want the MSRP then you'll have to hold off for like the founders edition or whatnot
$800 for a 6700xt?
$1000 for a 6800xt??
$2240 for a 3090???
I think it has to do with the new tariffs. Linus Tech Tips got some stock and was selling last week but you had to add 25% of the price to compensate. I think the ROG 3090 was about that price - makes me not feel so bad to have splurged to get mine at MSRP. At least they had a good anti-bot system; they made you do a 15-question gamer quiz before you could be able to add it to the cart. Granted, it took me like 15 minutes to be able to get through it.
And yea i know about the tariffs and those are the prices set by the board partners. but dang. Significantly over MSRP. I mean the founders edition is at MSRP and EVGA sells much closer to it too
its like the 3060 i got from Asus. $519 for the TUF OC edition.
LTT drops a video with a clip in the middle with Linus telling you how to get the card. Once it goes OOS, they swap it with a video that doesn’t have that bit.
you can see it at the 5 minute 11 second mark here.
