My local store got a bunch of EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3s this morning......!!!!
And then the local discord group caught one of the people being a scalper...he posted this ad in the microcenter parking lot:
MSRP + tax is like $940.....
My local microcenter discord channel is furious...they semi-doxxed him....they dug up his linkedin and facebook (duh) and found out where he worked and all...lol....careful where you post your ads...especially on facebook...
@Mizouse So I have a microcenter 30min drive from my place but I work M-F 8am-430pm (and its a 45min drive from where I live) and can't wait in line on Mondays/Wed/Fridays....otherwise, dude I'd totally camp out and snag a card for MSRP for ya and ship it out to Cali....
Also AMD 6700XT announcement is coming on the 3rd. My guess is they will release sometime this month. Maybe you can snag one of those from AMD.com if their website doesn't explode.
IIRC, they log the exact time you signed up and they go through the que by date/time/hour/minute/etc.....it's a HGUE backlog and they're still filling orders from basically last year....
It’s ridiculous how over priced everything is. Tempted to just get a GT 710 for like $40 until I can get a proper GPU.
or better yet, would an ATI Radeon X1950 XT still work with windows 10 and current gen CPU? I still have that from my Intel Core 2 Duo e6600 build that’s sitting in my garage.
Where can you get a GT 710 for $40? Fucking Best buy wants $70 for those now
Yeah the online crowd is tough to beat. They got bots setup to buy, as well as stock checker alerts. Might be worth holding onto old hardware if you have any
Of course I wasn’t selected for the Newegg Shuffle.
has anyone actually been selected for it?
what’s to stop a scalper/bot/miner from creating a ton of accounts to increase their odds of getting selected?

No go for me either.....sigh.
Yeah not sure what newegg system is....but you have point....bots/scalpers always find way around the system....
I heard AMD direct sale from their website has some anti-bot mechanism?
Maybe 6700XT is possible???..... I might aim for that now
I was able to snag the GPU off Newegg using Apple Pay. It kept giving me some error saying “Cannot ship to your address”
but I kept trying and when it got to the part where it asked to scan my face I knew I was in!
now hopefully they don’t cancel this with some bullshit like “sorry oversold”
It's good to see that CPUs can show up for more than 5 minutes on Amazon now. Lisa Su said during the last AMD earnings call that she expected supply to get better in the second half of the year. Maybe it's already starting?
Alright so I used to have logitech g500 for mouse....what's the current gaming mouse standard these days? Something similar to the g500 old school feel....
Man I am having a tough time deciding between these two ITX cases.
I personally love the look and small desk footprint of the NZXT H1. My issue is that 1. its not in stock direct from NZXT, its in stock 'NEW' on eBay for $250-300 (MSRP $350). 2. The recall on the current pcie riser which could cause a fire and burn down my house. 3. thermals aren't that great unless I add rear exhaust fans. 4. the pcie riser is only gen3 which can cause initial issues with my gen4 card, until i can switch the mobo to gen3.
My other SFF option i hear good things about is the Cooler Master NR200. Which I'm meh with because its more of a traditional case style. Takes up a bit more desk space. Cable management is more of a mess since you can't really hide the cables and close the side panels. Thermals can be good with just a basic air cooler like a noctua nh-u12a (wish it came in black)
