This keyboard legit sits on leaf springs. There are 8 leaf springs total, 4 along the top and bottom of the case.
The PCB is made up of 5 individual PCBs that make up each row of switches. This is held to the plate by the switches themselves and the plate sits on the leaf springs.
It’s fine… if those cards could even fit in my case. Gamers Nexus saw you could even plug in 3 of the 4 cables and it’ll still boot. Although the card will run in a reduced power mode.
It's just a i5-9400F with a 2070 Super but I mean I can run Gotham Knights at max settings at 60fps so I dont see much reason to upgrade yet. Maybe one day Ill just trade someone a keyboard for a graphics card. lol
Speaking of keyboards... just finished the Space65.
This is round 3 of the Space65. Very nice kit. Build quality is very premium. Honestly one of the best gasket qualities Ive built with aside from the Link65 i shared before.
edit: my 5800X3D delivered on Sunday. Waiting for my thermal paste to ship. Free tube I got with my cooler ran out.
Just in time to install my 5800X3D. This will replace the screwdriver set that came with a computer repair kit that I needed for a computer class I took back in high school.
My initial gripe so far are the bits. They're a bit difficult to put in and take out of the holder. Also seems like the fingers that hold the bits will eventually break.
Nvidia’s ‘unlaunched’ 12GB RTX 4080 returns as the $799 RTX 4070 Ti / Nvidia has rebranded its controversial 12GB RTX 4080 as an RTX 4070 Ti. It comes with a $100 price drop just as AMD puts pressure on Nvidia’s 40-series pricing. https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/3/23...ase-date-price

I shared this kit a while back when the GB first started. The Command65... a keyboard to pay homage to the Commodore 64.
The kit showed up monday. I finished putting it together last night.
Builds specs:
POM plate no foam
Boba U4T switches
TX 1.6mm stabilizers
GMK Polybius caps
It has bluetooth and when activated each keypress makes 8bit sounds like an old Space Invaders arcade cabinet which is why I had to go with the Polybius caps that were themed after old school arcades.
I know. Those Samsung Odyssey G9 monitors are basically 2 27in 1440p monitors side by side.
I've since talked myself back out of OLED PC monitors since burnin is still around and I use my PC for work so lots of static images, I'm gonna stick with miniLED for my PC. I might maybe upgrade to QD OLED for my TV though.
Okay now I got one I'm sure you guys will scratch your head at.
It's a Brane Minus by Coffee Break Keyboards. HHKB layout with a QAZ pcb. HHKB means there are blocks bottom left and right to both simplify and center the bottom row. And a QAZ pcb has no Q A Z keys as well missing everything to the right of p ; >
To quickly explain the most common questions. You use layers to make the keyboard fully functional. While typing the esc is your Q key. The alt is your A and left shift is Z. Left can be layers the same way. If you need the left shift you hold the key to the left of space then hit the shift. On the right if you need backspace you hit the key right of space and the top right key. Otherwise without the key right of space the top right will just be a P key. The little symbol on the right is ; if you just press it. And it's enter if you hit the key right of shift plus the symbol.
No this is not a board I will daily... though I do plan to use it for a week or so just for fun. This is what people call a 40% or a Sub40% keyboard.
Photo of the kit before I started building. Wanted to show you guys want an empty case looks like. This has the gasketmount carbon fiber plate that the switches fit into. The QAZ pcb is sitting under that. The switches go through the CF plate and into the pcb. The case is a two piece design with the plate fitting into groove between both halves gaskets sit in the grooves to prove some flex to the plate while typing.
