I had that mouse the G500. Funny enough I got that one to replace my beloved MX500 that I used for like 10 years.
I'm currently using a G403 and G703 (wireless version of the G403)
I have an MX Master 2S (I think it's an update of the old MX500 which I probably also had and wore out), and am typing on a Logi Keys keyboard that is the best wireless keyboard I've ever used.
the 3060 is equivalent to a 2060 super, sometimes a 2070 and AMD 5700.
but the gap up to a 3060 ti is pretty significant.
Don’t get me wrong, supper happy I even got a GPU, but yea I’d have preferred my original choice.
Yup. 3060Ti is sweet spot for great value and if you do mostly 1440p gaming I think...plenty of power for many years.
6700xt I think should sit somewhere between 3060Ti and 3070, trading blows back and forth.
Just watched a YT preview and they said the 6700XT is going to be a MASSIVE drop by AMD to try to counter miners/calpers...basically reviews go live 1 day before, to help ppl decide, then AMD is dropping all stock on same day..AMD website, microcenter, BB, and system builders/prebuilts too....gonna be crazy next thursday. Hopefully will get cards into lot of ppl's hands
This system is actually for my father in law who wanted to get into PC gaming (woot) instead of his xbox.
So now just need to get a GPU...I think any of the 3060Ti/3070/3080/6700xt/6800/6800xt will be more than enough for 1440p.
His budget cannot go into 3090/6900xt territory (like most people lol...)
I'm also deciding if I want to basically duplicate and build that for myself...but still trying to see if its worth it...wife and I deciding to see if I want to do a big upgrade also....we may move within the year so may wait it out for now.
I still rock a i7 2600k, GTX 660Ti, and a 1080p 60hz monitor....doing basic gaming since work/life somewhat busy...so maybe not need to upgrade just yet....
man that 2TB NVMe drive is tempting. But I kind of want to go with a gen 4 NVMe for bragging rights
Yeah i was doing some research between the gen 3 and gen 4 NVMEs...and people were saying you honestly can't tell much of a difference(gen 3 is already fast AF....like 3000MB/s? vs like 5000MB/s?....) and it'll still be fast AF when you load OS/games/etc. But yeah basically bragging rights, lol.
And very nice deal for a 2TB NVME for $200...so had to jump on that.

the 2600k might be ok. But it’ll probably bottleneck a bit. But should be enough to game more intense titles.
Yeah...the big bottle neck honestly for me is the monitor (I might get the same 32" 1440p/144hz monitor as his system for just $350. The panel is pretty high quality...I believe it is a samsung panel?) and of course GPU.
I'll see if my friend want to sell me his 1080....if he gets a new gen GPU....then I can just get that and see. I'm trying to convince him to wait at microcenter on a day where I have off work on a friday...lol...
But yeah i7 2600k will be the other bottle neck...especially at lower 1080p res so maybe I should just do partial upgrade with a better monitor and GPU and see how that goes. I didn't even think of that! Good idea!!! This is actually whats great about a quality desktop system...you can upgrade piece meal that still upgrades your experience without breaking the bank.
My current PSU is still kicking....almost 10 years old...Antec HCP 1200W...lol...high quality PSU definitely worth it....
This new flagship card is more akin to Nvidia's Titan series and will ship on September 24th priced at $1,499. The RTX 3090 is based on Nvidia's Ampere GPU architecture,
House Democrats passed a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package on Wednesday, and President Joe Biden hopes to sign the bill Friday.
The bill sends $1,400 direct payments to most Americans and their dependents.
SO basically it'll be just like the newegg shuffle....sorry you didn't get chosen.
It's a tiny drop in the bucket. Basically LTT gets more subs/likes/bells/etc. and the AIB and AMD and OEMs gets some positive PR for wanting to "help out gamers."
This is an interesting video if you have an older CPU and are looking to upgrade just the GPU. If all you care about is FPS, it looks like you are better off getting a Radeon.
I’ll take a look later at that video. It might also be sagging because of my bird nest of cables coming from
the PSU. Just need to organize that better.
