to pay the upgrade fee or not... 4S -> 5, that is the question.

I dunno if its just me, or that i have high expectations for apple. But I think they blew it with the 5...

If you found the 4/4s amazing, i'm sure you'll find this just a bit better. Its more like a 4ss.

The next gen iphones. OG Iphone, Iphone 3G, Iphone 4, were all revolutionary.

The 5, larger screen, LTE, ltl faster, better camera. Basically the same differences between the 4s and 4.

Dont get me wrong i'm not completely bashing, i mean their product is still more put together than Android.

My point is this is more like a 4ss, not a 5.

This release will be just fine with millions and millions of current users. YOU just want something different to play with. The upgrades you mention are the one's that people wanted with the 4/4s. Now they are here, it's not enough different for you.

They didn't even try to give the iPhone 5 a new name. I wonder if they'll create a new name for iPhone 6 when it comes out in 4 months?

this is true, goes with android phones too, since the galaxy nexus nothing has impressed me, not even the GS3 since to me that has a whole bunch of useless features...

it is true. Apple has a very strong support base, kinda like honda. Look at the civic, even though its pretty shitty now they're still able to sell 25k of those a month.

Thing is, a lot of the people in the iOS ecosystem that never ventured out, will also think a lot of these things are new and cool. For example turn by turn, tab syncing and so forth. Things that have been out in the industry for a long time.

You need to give people a little more credit. And a "long time" has only been about 12-18 months.

If you have a 4, I see a point to upgrade, 4S? not so much...

I really can't believe all the people saying it's not that big a difference over the 4S. Did they even read the specifications??? I've spent the past 30 minutes bickering with some dolt on facebook who started it off with "same phone, bigger screen".

Seems to happen any new version of anything is introduced these days.

That is arguable for sure. The question is "can I get by with the 4S"? And the answer is, of course you can. Just as you also can with any other previous model of anything else. Let me ask you a question, what specs would it have taken on the 5, for you to say, without a doubt, that the phone is definitely a brand new phone and different "enough" compared to the previous model? Think about it.

haha... like me

I guess its the small things that count. I do really like how the new dock can go in either way. I hate plugging in my phone at night haha with the lights off.

I will give them this... if they really did improve the battery WITH LTE, that is hands down a HUGE accomplishment.

I have the 4, so for me 100% there is a point to upgrade, it's better in every category.

for 4S... with 5 you get slightly faster processor, larger screen, slightly better front camera, and a promise of LTE?

As much as I like what the 5 offers, moving from my 4S isn't justifiable.

my favorite quote from the presentation.

It went something like this.

"the ear pods are designed to direct sound into the ear"

Well considering they actually researched this pretty well and came out with a set that has three openings to hear the sound better....

right... but is it necessary to point out that they designed this to put sound in the ear. I mean where else do you want it to go??

Even though it may look similar, i really love the aluminum back. And the black version just looks sooo nice. And damn this thing is thin, look how much thickness the headphone jack takes up.. basically the whole thing!

I agree, at least 32, if you take a lot of pictures @ 8mb per, it will fill fast. I have about 2600 pictures on my 4 @ 5mb each, I have less than a GB with 32GB phone. I'll be opting for a 64gb upgrade.
