Basically, jb and if you have to bring your phone into apple or AT&T, restore to factory state before bringing it in. AT&T will never know you were jailbroken or using FaceTime over 3G this way (yes, they may throttle your 'unlimited' plan if you use it a lot but...)

 

New FB app is out with speed improvements. I haven't gotten it yet, but we shall see.

 

I installed it earlier, it's much faster, works better. All around a substantial improvement in function.

 

The FB app is fantastic. I speed through my timeline now instead of trying not to make it crash. They need to add some features now to bring it inline with the PC browser version and then I'll be good.

 

The Facebook app is much much better.

 

I agree it's about time they came out with an update worth a crap.

 

Not with speed improvements, they rewrote it using Objective-C.

 

I know that, but it's faster than the old version. If that is not considered speed improvement then what is?

 

From what I've read they can tell just my using the Tethering app.

I mean shit they Sent me an email right away after pooping in my iPhone 4 sim card into my iPad warning me to put back the original sim into the iPad and get a data plan on that.

Wtf... So yes they went from HTML 5 to obj-c. This the app runs faster now. Explain to me how that isn't a speed improvement?

 

They could have just as easily rewrote it in obj-c and have it still run just as slow FYI.

One of the features I use the most. WOuld have been a great addition to this build.

The Share option lets you take a post that was made by someone and share it on your wall or on one of your friend's walls, or other places like pages or groups.

I'm very surprised you never used this feature. It's one of the most used features on FB.

 

Ohh that.. Yea I don't use it often. I think only one or 2 times recently.

I dont post much on FB. And if I "share" something it's usually a web page link

also I read an article somewhere said that their main focus was to fix the speed issue, they didn't add any new features (such as share). some sense of consolation.

you can downswipe or upswipe on photos to close them now, it sure beats hitting the Done button

Now if I want to share a photo, I'll save it to my Photo Library, and then re-upload it to the person's wall. That way it doesn't say who I got the picture from and all of the comments don't get dragged along with it.
