AT&T will alllow facetime over cellular at no additional charge...but you have to have one of their new shared data plans.
You can't do it if you have the unlimited plan.
And Verizon...they are getting rid of their unlimited plan if I read correctly...for EVERYONE.
So, AT&T is allowing me to keep my unlimited data...i can live without facetime over cellular....worth while trade off for me.

I think that's stupid that AT&T is doing that. I just wish Verizon would have a unlimited plan even if I have to pay more. AT&T Internet in Texas blows compared to Verizon. But I'm grandfathered in the unlimited plan :/
Is AT&T the exclusive carrier?
Have to say, LTE is a very very nice upgrade. Depending on my location if I'm on 4G the minimum is ~12 Mbps, I've seen just over 30 Mbps before. Using 3G feels like dial-up in comparison now. Luckily I get 4G nearly everywhere I go.
Definitely not the same phone, lot of upgrades. Apple's one-phone lineup somehow works well like this I think.... it's not just bigger, but there are important new changes. The fact that the design is still similar doesn't alienate people as much.

I think 4.3" would have been a perfect screen size as well... I feel like my Nexus at 4.65" is great when watching videos or looking at pictures but at times it's too much.
Will the next iPhone have even higher resolution as well as a wider screen?
Will the next iPhone have even higher resolution as well as a wider screen?
How so?
I should rephrase that.... will AT&T have exclusive rights to sell the new iPhone for a set amount of time?

From what I hear it's a pain because you have to program the apps to support multiple resolutions when you start having differing screen resolutions.
Before it wasn't so bad because it was just doubling the resolution.
I dunno, ask Sly since he is a developer.

Am I feel like the screen size upgrade they made is a joke and that they are still behind the times? I love the looks of the phone. I can't go so far backwards in screen size. I had a screen that was that wide 4 phones ago. I didn't think they would make the phone much wider, figured only like a 1/4", but figured they would at least do something. I was hoping to actually be able to consider one this time around but I guess not.

Probably not, the width of the iPhone is based a hand size and being able to use your thumb to navigate across the screen.
AT&T has a larger lte network but pricing is not worth it. customer service is absolute shit. after 4 years I will be switching to sprint. unlimited data, 2 lines, unlimited txt for 127 and their network is very robust.
Get sprint, enjoy the delay and sound quality of voice-over-ip. Better prices. My company has sprint, we all hate it
I have at&t, I don't like it either. Verizon is the best, but I'm not wiling to go the CDMA route... believe it or not, I love to talk and use my internet at the same time, it helps me in my business. Plus GSM and ability to add any sim I'd like when I travel = win.
But what I really don't understand is how the prices go up every year!!! instead of down, the technology is improving, and prices keep climbing higher.

Forget Sprint unless you live and work in the same area and Sprint has a good signal. All you have to do is look at the coverage map. ANd if you look at their coverage map on their website. You'll see just how eph'd their website is to start with, takes FOREVER to fracking load.

No sim card. Or will they make me go and pick up the phone at near by at&t store?
