Apple: iPhone News and Discussion Thread
So I called *639# and the message says 'As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-year commitment and a $36 upgrade fee".
I'm guessing this doesn't mean I would have to pay that $250 that some are talking about?
IIRC I would be paying the new iPhone 5 discounted price (let's say $199 for 16gb) + the $36 upgrade fee? Cool thanks.

yep considering you are doing all of the activation yourself, lol...
I still don't know if the iPhone 5 will arrive at my door with a nano sim card to which I can transfer my phone # from my current iPhone 4. I'm clueless about the process.

The transfer process is all via iTunes and the internet.
Pics and video for me, my phone wouldn't upgrade apps today, not enough room. And of course I do have a lot of apps.
check your eligibility for upgrade price.......... (I made it!

I'm getting the 32. I had the 32 3GS and barely used any of it, so I got 16 on the 4. And checking now, I have 7gb free. Big thing is, I don't store any music on the phone. And I don't do much photos or video either - just snapshots really. So I'll be fine with 32 on the 5.

It reminds me of a story in college when my friend Ray was saying "Every time I look at that girl all I can picture is my balls bouncing off her chin."

Music is currently streamed. I like to have the pics and video on my phone. I look at and watch the ones I take of my kids all the time.
I currently have a 32 with only 8 gigs free.
And like any computer I like to try and leave a 1/3 to 1/4 of the memory open for performance/reliability.

What do you guys think? I said 64 but if I can save myself $100, why not?
I have an iPod Touch, 32GB. I'm 5GB from being full.
2,569 songs
2 videos
79 photos (would be taking a lot more with an iPhone)
73 apps (will likely have more with an iPhone as well)

but yes, you'd only pay the activation fee plus the subsidized amount for the phone.

It's only $100 more, get the 64gb!
