Yea Facebook has been shit since updating to iOS 8

Just needs an update which should be soon since they just updated messenger which fixed most of the issues.

Also, IMO the 6 Plus is a no brainer for photo / video / media people

Yeah that is why I signed both waivers to have them leave them at the management office if I couldn't answer the door. Now I have to wait till Monday for it.

So day one with the 6 went well. Love the speed, size, look (bought a nice clear case to show off the GOLD). Battery seems about the same as the 5s, will probably get a Mophie case when they are out. 64GB is more then enough for me. Played with the 6 plus last night. Its very nice, so big it does landscape mode like the Ipad. Almost got sad that I didnt get it until I realized that Ill buy whatever new Ipad mini they release next. Gave my son my 5s, he gave my nephew his 5. Happy all around.

 

Battery life is pretty good so far. Definitely using it a lot more than normal and I'm still at 40%

The weather channel widget isn't working on my 5 with ios 8. But I dloaded and just love the SwiftKey keyboard.

 

i mean i like the new iphone, but my samsung galaxy is much better

the iphone watch however seems intriguing, but samsung has outpaced them there too

Got my iPhone 6 Friday and I've really been liking it. Haven't really had any crashes, maybe just 2 or 3, probably just apps not updated for iOS8. I think it's the best size for me since my manager has the Note 3 and it doesn't seem very pocket-friendly. Good speed improvement over my 5, the extra screen space is nice, and the camera seems much better.I had taken the same panorama inside work, with my 5 a few weeks ago and yesterday with the 6. I thought the 5 was OK, but whatever they did to the 6's camera makes it much better at not washing out and overexposing the photo when there's a change in how much light entered the scene. Must be a combination of the better aperture and the focus pixels. I should have paid more attention to matching the angle when I took it

With iOS 8, you have an exposure compensation slide. Just touch the screen and adjust higher or lower.

 

 

Trying to update my gf's phone and ipad to ios 8 but after 30 min they can't even connect to the apple server? Anyone else tried today? Maybe everyone decided to do the update this weekend so their servers are overloaded?

So with safari in iOS 8 you can't copy an image's URL anymore...

Used be that if you copied an image it would depending on the field you were pasting it into paste the full image or the URL, not anymore.

if you select a word you just typed and hit the shift key it'll give you an option to capitalize it and if you double tap shift you can put the word in ALL CAPS. Is that new? I know windows phone has the same feature but never seen it in iOS.

Yeah I can't paste the link of the image you just posted. Well I can if I grab the URL directly from the address bar obviously but not by tapping and holding and choosing copy like you used to be able to do.

Idk about the shift key, select a word and then hit the shift key and look at the text prediction keyboard

 

Hmmm well I can copy the link from the image in whiskers post but if I click on the link you posted and try to copy it there it won't work.

Maybe it's a bug. Some images when you tap and hold it tells you the image's URL and if it does then you can copy the URL if it doesn't you can't. Now why you can copy some images but not others, idk...

 

Btw 10 million of these things were sold over the weekend.

One of our prime time news went up to some of the people who just got the new iPhone at the Eaton centre. Every single one of them were shocked that you could customize their phones.

Best thing about iOS 8, the ability to finally have an empty first home screen!

But why would I want this?

 

If you have a excellent condition iphone 5, Verizon will basically swap you out for a 6 at no charge. They charge you $199 for the pre-order and when your handset arrive sin a month, you bring your 5 handset to the store and they give you a $200 credit on your bill.

This is for the 16GB regular, not the plus (AFAIK).
