Apple Watch series 3 battery is way better than the 1st gen
unhooked it at 6:30am, it’s now 4pm PST. Still at 87% battery
so I took a gamble and didn’t charge my watch last night. It’s 11:57AM and I still have 45% battery
i think next time I leave the watch off the charger I’ll turn on airplane mode first. I swear the battery was in the 60-70% range. Woke up to it in the 50s
I'm getting horrible LTE issues on my XS Max. Not a good experience. Have to stop and start cellular to get it working.
Me too
It’s weird sometimes it’ll just not be working well. Have to reboot. Other times it’ll have a very poor signal like 1x or 3G when there is no reason it shouldn’t have LTE.
As they always say, technology is great when it’s working.

It's got me thinking about trying something else. I do not like
I'm not really moved by it. Last week I even was not wearing it much. It doesn't give me anything I felt was missing.
Maybe I just need to use it more? Also battery lasts 1 day.
The notifications are cool, and welcome. That's about the only overly positive thing I can say about it, at this time.
I think it would be a waste for me. Battery only lasting a day sucks! My XR battery last a day and a half. When I had my fit bit I was charging that every other day or so.

Horey Shet this series 3 watch just sips on juice. Its almost 6:30PM and my watch battery is at 30%. Thats 36 hours since i last charged it
My 1st gen never had battery like this. even when it was new.
I'll be going to the gym later tonight, but my guess is it'll be around 20% by the time i goto sleep tonight

It sounds to me like T-Mobile has decided that eSIM is for your temporary or auxiliary, secondary lines.
But it it looks to me from playing with the iOS firmware that Apple intended for your primary and main data line to be an eSIM.
Not it sure how to reconcile this with how the T-Mobile eSIM application works. The way the application works, and the reason it only works with prepaid right now, is because T-Mobile thinks that eSIM is for temporary or secondary numbers and plans.
I think this is a mistake.
For whatever one dumb old man’s opinion is worth, we should be able to have our primary T-Mobile plan and number as an eSIM.
It's a small matter to open up the application so that your current account's numbers can be moved to eSIM. I and others whom I know just want to be able to move from an eSIM that is a business or public line to an eSIM that is a private, time-off or vacation line. We want an easy way to change SIM without having to carry around our SIM tool and spare SIM's.
Can I get an T-Mobile eSim online to try it out here?
Maybe.
They're not supposed to be doing it, yet, so you might reach an online support person who says no. The person with whom I dealt seemed to know perfectly well what I was doing.
If you're lucky enough to have your EID show up (32 digit number), then you just have to contact them via online support and ask politely if they have time to do a SIM change.
They'll ask for the phone number and SIM number. Instead of the SIM number, give them the EID.
They'll send you a code via SMS. When you respond with that code, your SIM will shut down and you'll lost signal.
At this point, go into Add Cellular Plan and go to the manual settings.
At "sm-dp+address" put: cust-005-v4-prod-atl2.gdsb.net
Leave other fields blank and [return].
If everything worked right, then you eSIM will start showing signal strength. Remove the physical SIM so that your iPhone does not get confused and assign Primary to the non-working SIM (this will happen).
If this has worked right, then you will be able to insert a new physical SIM and then you'll have two active numbers, two active plans, and two sets of signal strengths.
There is some risk.
You might get a support person who has been testing the eSIM App, and that person will send you a QR code instead. However, most support people will try not to help you if you ever admit this has to do with eSIM activation, because the system is still in testing.
It works. But it might take you a while to get the right support person, and there is a risk you'll screw it up in some way that I haven't thought of, which means you iPhone won't work because you have no eSIM, and your physical SIM has already been turned off.
Read for a while until you get a set of instructions that you are sure about. There's at least three people in that thread who know what they are talking about.
That is quite the process, @George Knighton ! I am not a T-Mobile customer since i am in Canada. Do you think I could get a Pay as you Go eSim set-up from here?

Does your provider not offer dual SIM/eSIM support?
If you want prepaid as a secondary cellular plan, you might want to wait just a while. It sounds like the T-Mobile app is designed for prepaid eSIM.
Apparently I missed the macrumors post that Apple is currently offering up to an extra $100 for phone trade ins towards new phones. My wife’s 7 would get $250 instead of $175....so now we’re looking at upgrading her to the Xr.

My son and wife both have a 7. I asked Apple if we could trade in both the 7's for one new one. You cant but I can get a $175 Apple store credit for one and $250 for the other. Seems like a no brainer.
